I couldn't open your XLS file but I'd like to know if you can fill in any of the gaps in the online PARACHUTIST collection here Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video

You know you're a Midwest Skydiver if....
docjohn replied to Unstable's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
You know how to tell the difference between a cornfield and bean field while under canopy. Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video -

You are correct regarding the editing. I posted this video to give kuddos to the student, not to bash the instructors. Once the criticisms began, I decided to protect the AFF instructors and edited the video. Apologies to them. Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video

Replies: She wasn't wearing booties. I was diving after them but not directly above them. I was anticipating an open canopy at any time. BTW, she's an amazing skydiver. This was about 3 months ago. She just got her A licence and has made 50 jumps. You can see her closing 6th at the beginning of this video on a leg grip. Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video

http://manifestmaster.com/video/aff_oops.wmv This is a video of a first AFF jump where she manages to lose both jumpmasters. Sorry I wasn't closer but I was diving after them with everything I had. Tried to post to skydivingmovies.com but not having any luck Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video

Dunno about 1992, but back in 1996 a buyer had to have "600 jumps" and sign a waiver (iirc it was 2 different waivers for the sub-100 sizes). That was derogatory? I think not. Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video

Peek revisits the Kruger balloon suit, 20 years later
docjohn replied to peek's topic in Gear and Rigging
It was called Brand-X suit. A popular suit in the 70's. It wasn't in inflatable suit though. Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video -
You are incapable of having fun without a 270? Sometimes it's a 450. Some people in this sport have chosen high performance canopy flight as their passion. Your question is akin to asking a freeflyer if they are incapable of having fun without freeflying. It's what they do, not just a bonus to their skydive. If you want to have fun freeflying, you're asked to exit after the belly flyers. Doesn't seem to be a problem. If you want to have fun doing a 270, 450, you're asked to land in a designated area. So what's the problem? Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video

I'm completely convinced that little gremlins crawl in my gear bag at night and put twists my steering lines. I have however gotten in the habit of untwisting my steering lines while under canopy (if traffic allows) But why hasn't someone invented a swivel just above the toggle that eliminates this problem in the first place? . I'd buy an AAD. BTW, I'd also use a better title in my next post, like "Should I buy an AAD?" . Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video

When my Cypress expired recently, I bought a new Vigil. Mainly because I felt like I was throwing away a perfectly good AAD and Vigil doesn't have that service life. Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video

Is it really humps:jumps:beers? Haven't heard of that (I don't get out much I guess). But if that's the case: 1:10:1 No bad for first jump weekend of the year . Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video

I'll bet you could get $1000 for it on eBay. This would be a great rig for a novice on a budget. He could put 50 jumps or so on it, then sell it to another novice for the same $1000 when he's ready to move up (or down I should say). . Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video

Nice work! Looking forward to seeing a more enhanced version. Now if there just some other canopies in the air so we could do CRW! . Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video

There's many ways to do this. I have done it by creating a series of individual title files, each file adds one letter. Put them on the timeline sequentially. Or you can have just one title screen and use a series black video (assuming you have a black background) to sequentially unconver letters. (use the effects control to move the black video to each desired position). Its alot of work but its a cool effect especially if you add the typying audio effect. Don't give up.
