  1. Can anyone help me with packing instructions for packing a Prodigy with a diaper? I've been jumping a Prodigy 200 for the past few years in a D-bag but I have acquired another Prodigy 200 that I wish to use, but it has a diaper and I (and my rigger) can't figure out how to pack it using the diaper. I've already heard the advise to throw it away and get a Lightning so please spare me that advise. And yes, I've searched the forums and I've searched the web. Please help! How does one pack a Prodigy with a diaper? Photos would be especially helpful. Thanks! . . Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  2. Been jumping 30 years this month (hey USPA, where's my certificate?). You take risks for what you love. If I die tomorrow, at least these 30 years will have been richer. I'd rather work on my 40 year certificate though. Play by the rules. If you're afraid you'll die, quit skydiving, take up bowling and die of a heart attack. Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  3. That is one kick ass photo. Good job Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  4. Quincy 1988 - Naked 8 way from a DC-3. My one and only naked dive. 4 male, 4 female. Hence our load name: 4 flappin and 4 whistlin Check out the photos! . Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  5. Whether you sell the videos or give them away is irrelevent. Its still copyright infringement. But has anyone heard of someone getting in trouble for using copyrighted music on a skydiving video? . Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  6. Fort Hood Sport Parachute Club, Ft Hood Texas. Late 1970's. We had a Huey UH-1 helicopter that the Army let us have 360 flying hours per year. Cost us $4 per month (not per jump, per MONTH) apiece. Those were the days. We couldn't fly worth a damn and didn't care. . Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  7. PC 105 - you can still find them on eBay for about $500 - I found one, brand new w warranty. 200+ jumps on it so far without a hiccup. Works for me. . . Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  8. OOPS! Ok, they're fixed now. Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  9. I'm getting ready to celebrate 30 years of skydiving and came up with the idea to scan all my PARACHUTIST magazine covers and put them on my web site. I joined USPA in the summer of 1975 but since then I've also found old copies of PARACHUTIST dating back to the 1960's. If you'd like to trek down memory lane, here's the url http://manifestmaster.com/parachutist . . Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  10. I agree with Z. Excellent first effort, especially at your experience level. Tip: adding a fade transistion between scenes really makes it look more professional. Keep up the good work. Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  11. Not only did I do S/L, I did 15 of them! (king of the reverse arch). They finally put me out on a hop n pop hoping I'd die and be rid of me for good. 30 years later, I think I can finally get stable (sometimes). Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  12. The a/v cable is a weird D-shaped plug. It goes in between the red hole and the blue hole in your first photo. Here's that url again http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start?ProductSKU=VMC15FS&Dept=cameras&CategoryName=acc_DIAccessories_i%2eLINKCables Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  13. Watch this video. The tandem passenger broke 3 ribs during the opening. http://manifestmaster.com/video/mike.wmv Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  14. So, you want us to look at your picture on the cover of PARACHUTIST, eh? Guess it worked. Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  15. I have a Wonderhog and Strato Star for sale that will go well with that camera helmet. Interested? Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  16. There's one on eBay now. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=310&item=7144112272&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW Or just search eBay for SONY ROLL CAGE and you'll find it. Current bid is $64 Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  17. You'll be in far more danger driving to the drop zone than you will while making a tandem jump. Have fun! Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video

  19. Back in his Helio Stallion days, Mike Mullins used to offer extra altitude to the whole load if nobody farted on the way to altitude. It was a safe bet for him because we NEVER got extra altitude, at least not for lack of farting. Now, if we happened to have an open minded young lady with us........... but that's a different story. BTW If you're a YO MAMA, you fess up when you fart. Its tradition you know Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  20. Going thru 2000 with pilot chute in tow, I wouldn't waste valuable time pulling a cutaway pillow. Flat and stable, pull your reserve. If you end up with 2 canopies out, then deal with them. Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  21. To answer your question, don't buy gear now. I tried to squeeze in one weekend of skydiving each year of med school and that was difficult - financially and time-wise. Residency: depends and your call schedule. In Family Practice, I jumped regularly during residency. Sometimes in scrubs, but I was there. So reward yourself for graduating med school with a cool new rig. Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  22. I've had 4 cutaways in 2600 dives. Each reserve ripcord pull starts with "please please work" followed by and incredible high when you see that awesome reserve above your head. If you want to peek at something you hope to NEVER see above your head, go to skydivingmovies.com, go to the MALFUNCTIONS section and watch UNFALL2.MOV. Its a sickening main/reserve entanglement that I hope to never see first hand. Fortunately, the story has a happy ending. Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  23. You have to borrow a vhs player? You can buy a brand new one for next to nothing these days. Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  24. Excellent list. All too true Don't forget these: Looking at your camera helmet at altitude and finding 1). no battery 2). no tape 3). no camera Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
  25. I spent between $2000 and $3000 on skydiving last year. The rest of the money I just wasted. Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
