  1. Darren, That was an excellent listen. Though the author's primary premise is wrong, when you read through the descriptions and sketch adjustments, the bing sketch was poor and the final sketch "B" was much more accurate. "Cooper" being inspired, planning and pulling off his hijack 2 just weeks after Cini is a big ask. People don't realize that although Cini was Canadian, he was in the US military. He had ealtives in NJ that he lived with for a time. Could he have crossed paths with Cooper erarlier? Hahneman jumped into Honduras. Amazingly, E Howard Hunt was asked in a CIA activities hearing about Hahneman. But, according to a US official Hahneman had planned his hijack and jump for years. HE WAS NOT A COPYCAT, the FBI and media have pushed that false narrative for almost 50 years and everyone accepts it. The copycat label was propaganda and it worked up until now.
  2. 66 total unidentified prints for this case. That probably includes letters, not just the plane. 8 partial finger prints and one impression (palm) found around hijacker seat. No prints found on cigarette butts. FBI compared suspect's prints to the 8 plus palm. For Rackstraw the prints were not a match but they still pursued his palm print, also negative. Conclusion, matching the prints can include a suspect but no match can't eliminate. The prints aren't confirmed to be Cooper's.
  3. "I observed the pilot of the Boeing 727 airplane, Eastern Airlines Flight 842, exit down the rear ramp. The pilot whom I had observed earlier sitting in the cockpit of the aircraft was closely followed by a white male, 40-45 years of age, 5'10"-6' in height, 175-185 pounds, olive complexion with dark curly hair, combed straight back. This individual wore a dark suit with a white shirt and tie; " FBI agent
  4. Found some interesting maps.. 1961 Clark County maps have names of property owners. You can match a property to a name. http://www.historicmapworks.com/Browse/United_States/Washington/
  5. New book D.B. Cooper: Examined, Identified, and Exposed by a "Nat Loufoque"... claiming cooper was E. Howard Hunt... https://www.amazon.ca/si=stripbooks&rh=p_27%3ANat+Loufoque&ref=dp_byline_sr_book_1 Cooper was not E. Howard Hunt. INQUIRY INTO THE ALLEGED INVOLVEMENT OF THE CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY IN THE WATERGATE AND ELLSBERG MATTERS https://ia801909.us.archive.org/3/items/InquiryIntoTheAllegedInvolvementOfCIAInTheWatergateAndEllsbergMatters/Inquiry into the Alleged Involvement of CIA in the Watergate and Ellsberg Matters.pdf There is this strange interaction between Hunt and Nedzi. Nedzi asked Hunt about Hahneman... his alias was George Ames. Hahneman was an electronics engineer who worked in SE Asia and Central America including Guatemala. "Mr. Nedzi. Do you know anybody by the name of George Ames, Mr. Hunt? Mr. Hunt. Is that a true name or a pseudonym ? No name comes to mind. I can give you off the top of my head "No." Mr. Nedzi. When you worked in Central America, did you ever have occasion to come in contact with individuals working on electronic installation contracts in Guatemala, or any place else in Central America ? Mr. Hunt. I may have. I can't think of any. I was involved in the operation "Overthrow Arvens" in Guatemala, you know. We used the [deleted] subsidiary as a part of our communications network. If you could be more specific. That is the only connection I can think of, sir. And I don't know the names of anybody after this lapse of time. Mr. Nedzi. Do you know anyone by the name of Frederick William Hahneman? Mr. Hunt. Hahneman ? Mr. Nedzi. Yes, H-a-h-n-e-m-a-n. Mr. Hunt. No, sir. Not to the best of my recollection. Mr. Nedzi. Do you have any knowledge of the May 5, 1972, hijacking of the Eastern Airlines flight from Allentown, Pa., to Washington, to Miami. Mr. Hunt. No, sir. Mr. Nedzi. Do you know whether Frank Sturgis was involved while in Honduras or elsewhere in Central America with Hahneman or George Ames ? Mr. Hunt. I have no knowledge of either of the names. I have no knowledge of Frank Sturgis' activities there. Mr. Nedzi. Do you have any questions ? Mr. Hogan. No, sir. Mr. Nedzi. Were you involved in any operations of any kind in Miami before the Democratic National Convention? Mr. Hunt. I was involved in the contemplation of operations that might at one time come to pass, but which did not. Operations per se, no, sir, aside from an assist I gave to Segretti. Mr. Nedzi. What did that consist of ? Mr. Hunt. That consisted of his requirement for a printer who could be trusted, and through Mr. Barker I got the name of the printer, and that name was passed on to him and I believe he used that printer. What they printed, I don't know."
  6. Southern Air Transport.... November 1971. Everyone has focussed on secret op paratroopers and the tests in Thailand... Proof... that the 727 crews were trained for airdrops via the ventral airstairs and these may have taken place almost anywhere within Southern's areas of operation. "Southern's certificates authorize it to conduct charter operations within the United States and between any State of the United States on the one hand and points in the Carib- bean and points in the Pacific, Asia and Australia (Transpacific), on the other hand. Six other supplemental carriers also have Caribbean authority namely World Airways, Universal Airlines, Trans International Airlines, Capitol International Airways, Saturn Airways, and Overseas National Airways. Two other Supplemental carriers have Transpacific authority namely World Airways and Trans International Airlines. Southern's certificates authorize worldwide operations under contracts with MAC as do the certificates of all other Supplemental carriers." https://www.cia.gov/library/readingroom/docs/197109.pdf
  7. Capt. Bill Rataczak, C0-Pilot on that Fateful Flight, Delivers First Hand Report to NW AHC Audience http://northwestairlineshistory.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/1209-newsletter.pdf ✈For the most part Cooper was a cool customer. He was a chain smoker, though. Raleighs were his brand. He had one cocktail. (other report, Cooper had two drinks) ✈President Nyrop rightly agreed with our insistence that any and all decisions were to be handled exclusively by our three-man flight crew. No interference from outside agencies. “The safety of the passengers came first and they were our passengers. Everybody’s job, on the ground or in the air, was to protect our crew and passengers and keep that airplane in one piece,” says Rataczak. “And we did that.” ✈Second Officer Anderson began monitoring the refueling, and it was soon obvious that ground personnel were delaying the process (probably on the F.B.I.’s orders, despite Mr. Nyrop’s directive not to intervene). Andy challenged the crew via his interphone and was told the truck was vapor locked. A second truck pumped only 300 of the 4,500 gallons we required. Andy ordered a third truck, which the ground crew claimed was vapor locked also. F/O Rataczak got on the interphone and told them in no uncertain terms to quit playing games. They finally cooperated and pumped the full 4,500 gallons. (crew believed fuelling problems were an FBI ruse) ✈The FBI says Cooper had a real bomb: eight sticks of dynamite with wires, batteries, etc. He apparently threw it out when he jumped. No sign of the bomb was found by authorities in Reno. (bomb was real??) ✈We had to hold over Seattle while Cooper’s demands were being met. What to tell the passengers? There’s a man sitting back there with you who has a bomb? No, we said we had a minor maintenance problem and asked them to please remain in their seats. ✈At 10,000 feet out of Seattle there was a cloud layer, causing icing to occur on the aircraft. We were flying what we call a “dirty airplane” with flaps and gear down. We were unpressurized. We had another problem besides Cooper. Icing. ✈ During our descent into Reno, we made a P.A. to Cooper (if he was still there) that the stairs needed to be raised for landing so they would not be damaged, which could prevent a subsequent takeoff. ✈The crew didn’t see Cooper jump nor did anybody, apparently, in the chase planes. Where he attempted to open the parachute would have had a bearing on where he landed. If he pulled it quickly he would have floated quite a ways. A late pull or no pull at all would have taken him straight down. ✈There’s been a lot of talk, some recently, about former purser Ken Christiansen being D. B. Cooper. He was fully vetted by the F.B.I., who determined he was not a person of interest. ✈Cooper offered Stewardess Tina Mucklow a packet of $20 bills before leaving. She declined. (Tina and the other stews were offered packets of money) ✈At least two bodies have been recovered in the Cooper search area, neither of them is our man. ✈Each year, the day before Thanksgiving, the little bar/filling station town of Ariel, Wash., in Cooper territory, holds a Cooper celebration. “It would be fun to visit Ariel, then, incognito, and take it all in,” Rataczak says. “I might do that one of these years.” Rataczak strongly opposes the folk hero moniker. “No way. He was a criminal, one of the worst kind. He was a hijacker and a thief and he endangered the lives of innocent people. There’s nothing heroic about that.” Nonetheless, the unsolved Cooper story remains a fascinating episode, perhaps the most notorious crime in commercial aviation history. “I agree with my good friend, FBI Agent Ralph Himmelsbach, who bird-dogged the Cooper case for many years,” Rataczak says. “I don’t think he made it out alive. I think he’s down there in the blackberry brambles someplace.” Perhaps we’ll never know. Or we might know tomorrow. ✈
  8. some interesting info in FBI file #40..The FBI compared Rackstraw’s finger prints to NORJAK and it was negative. They then sought to obtain his palm prints and tested, they were also negative.. In other files there are references to test for finger prints but not palm prints. If the finger prints were negative, why test the palms..That suggests they are unsure they have Cooper’s prints and the palm prints and finger prints may be from different individuals. CLEARLY, not matching the fingerprints DOES NOT eliminate.Tina..This is fascinating, in 1978 the crew members were approached by somebody pushing Bryant Coffelt as Cooper for a script. They claimed to have FBI files and be working with the FBI. The FBI was concerned that the crew was going to give out “confidential” info..Tina was contacted by the person in Minnesota Nov 1976 and in San Diego Jan 1977.Tina kept a newspaper scrapbook and only discussed what was in the newspapers.Tina claimed she never discussed “confidential” information.Tina stated.. She only knows that there is _____________________ but does not know on which side. That sounds like a feature, on the face? and only on one side?.. a scar, mole, teeth, something?? Info held back??“Tina” was cautioned that any information she has is crucial to this investigation and that it should not be made public. This seems to address the "sexual" assault claim.. it didn't happen "Additionally, the hijacker did not make any overt or indicate gestures toward her or to any other stewardess to the best of her knowledge. She stated that she was sitting down during the entire flight and that the only time she stood up was when a passenger got up to use the bathroom. This would have been the only time or opportunity that the hijacker would have had to ______________. Additionally, she stated that during the entire flight, _________ was in the cockpit maintaining a log of the events and that she was the only stewardess in the aft of the plane with the hijacker."
  9. FBI file #40 is out... Lots of info on Rackstraw near the end.. https://vault.fbi.gov/D-B-Cooper /d.b.-cooper-part-40-of-40/view
  10. The western flight path is beyond dead. http://community.seattletimes.nwsource.com/archive/?date=20010315&slug=pilot15m 'D.B. Cooper' pilot dies; William Scott never talked much about 1971 skyjackingBy Susan Gilmore Seattle Times staff reporterFor 30 years, William "Scotty" Scott said little about the world's most famous skyjacking, shunning assorted authors and movie producers who came knocking at his door.Mr. Scott piloted the Northwest Orient Airlines jet hijacked by the infamous "D.B. Cooper" on Thanksgiving Eve 1971. He died of prostate cancer Sunday at his home in Green Valley, Ariz., taking to the grave much of what he knew about that fateful night, said his wife, Frances."When he came home that night," she said, "he told his family about it, and that was the end of it. He was a very quiet man. Very reserved."Only in recent years had he begun to talk about the skyjacking that perplexed the FBI and continues to rivet those who think Cooper may have survived the jump of 10,000 feet into the blackness of a storm over Southwest Washington. Her husband was convinced Cooper died in the leap, said Frances Scott. "He felt he jumped into Lake Merwin (Cowlitz County) and got tangled up in dead trees and died," she said.On the 25th anniversary of the heist, Mr. Scott spoke to a local pilots club; 200 people showed up, said his wife.
  11. RE: Chutes.. This document describes the observation of two "olive drab green" back chutes. No bleepers? Then describes the two Hayden chutes with burp sacks.. #1 tan and #2 olive drab green. With burp sacks. That indicates four back chutes involved (before the two back chutes were sent to the plane)
  12. Harrison notes confirm transcript... Cooper's initial demand was airstairs lowered in flight. Airstairs down on takeoff is a red herring, it came up during negotiations with the crew to get Tina off the plane.
  13. credit to KERMIT... 1S is next to Crawford, it is NOT a typo = I5 Just more evidence confirming the "FBI" flight path..
  14. Eric Ulis still fails basic logic and reasoning.. and claims everyone else is full of "it". We have gone over these things and Eric just ignores the facts that don't fit his narrative. He says.. "1) Nothing has ever been found in the FBI search area or along the FBI Flight Path as one would expect after 48 years.2) The placard was found WEST (upwind) of 305 according to the FBI Flight Path.3) The money was found on Tena Bar which is no where near the FBI search area or flight path.4) Captain Scott states the jet was 10 miles west of where the FBI was searching and he flew west of Portland.5) The FBI Flight Path appears erratic and includes some questionable turns, for example, the very sharp turn around the west end of PDX. In closing, one thing I can say with certainty is that the evidence doesn't lie. It cannot be wrong. The placard was found west of the FBI Flight Path, the money was found on Tena Bar, and nothing has been found in the FBI search area (or near it) after nearly 48 years." 1) Finding nothing in the flight path isn't evidence that the flight path is wrong. The jump time along the flight path is debatable. 2) The placard was not confirmed to be from NORJAK. Eric knows this, the FBI walked back the assertion from the Sheriff. Further, it doesn't match known 727 emergency placards and wasn't noticed missing in Reno when plane inspected. That placard coming from NORJAK is unlikely. But let's assume it was. Eric and Robert99 Nicholson persist in ignoring the facts and running with assumptions they both claim are facts. The SW wind was an estimate, the FBI admits that they averaged the winds from Salem and Portland over an hour to get SW wind as a proxy for the LZ, THEY ADMIT THIS. Portland and Salem are far from the placard find and using an average is imprecise. Data shows winds from Seattle, Portland (8:30) and Toledo were S.. (winds were shifting) The plane being on the "FBI" flight path and a S wind puts the placard exactly where it was found. A S WIND AT PLACARD FIND CONFIRMS THE FLIGHT PATH. The winds were shifting between SSE and SSW. To claim as a fact the winds at the placard find were SW is either intellectually dishonest or extremely ignorant. To then use the placard as evidence for a massive coverup and alternate fight path is ridiculous. A rational thinker would instead conclude that the wind direction estimate was slightly off (Placard) and that seems to be the case looking at all available data. What is more likely the wind estimate is off at the placard find or the crew, NWA, the FBI, the Air Force, Portland radar, the chase pilots and Boeing are all wrong and continue to engage in a cover up. A rational thinker would conclude that this has potential implications for the LZ, Cooper's drift may have been impacted by a S wind rather than the estimated SW wind.. 3) The TBAR money could have got to TBAR many ways that don't involve moving the flight path. Just because we don't know or can't prove how the money got there doesn't mean it couldn't have. 4) NORJAK did fly West of downtown Portland, the search area was expanded to the Columbia. 5) The flight path is plotted with a 0.5 mile error either side. Evidence doesn't lie, of course not but Eric has invented his own evidence by elevating assumptions to facts. The placard was not confirmed from NORJAK, the wind was just an estimate, an inaccurate remote proxy. Finally, absence of evidence (in flight path) is not evidence of absence (plane in flight path). The critical thinking and mental gymnastics here are self serving and amateurish. Challenging overwhelming facts with weak assumptions is poor reasoning at best, elevating assumptions to facts is intellectually dishonest. BTW,, I am all for challenging assumptions and even some facts but it is a heavy lift to move the flight path, weak assumptions here aren't even close. Eric has no facts here. His tell is that he ridiculed and attacked me when I pointed out that he is representing assumptions as facts, his narrative is not born from evidence it is the goal. He repeatedly ignores reality, he has to, it destroys his argument. Perhaps he is unaware of his own bias.. whatever,, the alternate flight path idea is dead and Eric is 98% confident Sheridan Peterson was Cooper no matter what. I am 100% confident Eric is wrong, he has no case, he has patched together old info with weak assumptions. His "research" is a joke. IMO
  15. You have been falsely claiming Ammerman supported your you alternate flight path nonsense.. Now, you are forced to admit he accepts the FBI flight path and somehow others are dishonest. Dishonesty is claiming the wind direction is a fact, contrary to the FBI files and data. FACT. Dishonesty is claiming that the placard came from NORJAK is a fact, FBI walked back the Sheriff's claim. FACT. The flight path came from SAGE, you'd know that if you did something as simple as reading the FBI files.
  16. EU wrote.. "I sent Cliff Ammerman a copy of the yellow FBI Flight Path map and asked him to review it and let me know if it looked right to him. He called me this morning about the map and said he “would not argue with this track.” In other words, that it may well be correct." Can we end the western flight path nonsense already.. Flight path came from SAGE..
  17. The problem is the data for the identified "LZ" and placard find location for the 8 to 8:12PM time frame isn't available. The FBI estimated the wind using Portland and Salem average winds from 8-9.. Portland and Salem are too far away and using an average over an hour is too vague. Best data shows winds shifting between SSE to SSW...
  18. The DB Cooper F-106 pilots were... Randy Plumb dec 1999 Harve Wallace ??
  19. Wind in Seattle, SSE at 8PM... Averaged winds at Salem and Portland were used as a proxy for wind direction.. this is a guess for the LZ and Placard find location, it is not a fact. Salem, Portland and Seattle are too far from the LZ/Placard to have any confidence.
  20. Even more corroboration for the "FBI" flight path...
  21. The 11:30 PM store break location in was 3 miles South and 0.5 miles East from point A on the LZ map... it is getting close to the East Fork Lewis River..
  22. They claim "military style".. probably based on the corrugated sole matching a footprint. There are/were slip on ankle boots/shoes with corrugated soles... I have an old pair of Doc Martins like that with "military style" corrugated soles but look like regular shoes. Also,, I received the big Penny's catalog and there are no men's ties in it. That suggests the tie was purchased in store 1964/5 not via mail order... If Cooper purchased the tie he was in the US at that time. There are lots of shoes/boots in the catalog,, I'll have to check those. It may be what is called a "service shoe/boot"
  23. The initial search area came from NWA and the crew.. We are now expected to reject the corroboration from the crew, the air force, the chase pilots, Boeing, NWA and controllers to invent an alternate flight path to move the plane over Tina Bar to explain the money find.. nonsense. Nov 26. "The crew of the above airline has now spotted a possible area for this suspected departure of the hijacker to be over Merwin Lake, near Woodland, Washington. A search is now being conducted by helicopter and ground crews working out of the Woodland Police Department."
  24. I never noticed this before,, "According to him a high wind was blowing at Merwin Dam last night. At about 11:30Pm there was a burglary of a grocery store located roughly 10 miles South of the dam. Survival rations were taken including beef jerky, cigarettes, gloves, etc. The person who broke in was wearing military type boots with a corregated sole." Average walking speed is 3.1 mph, if it was Cooper he could have walked 9-10 miles in the three hours between landing and the store break in. In other words, it matches the LZ south of Merwin.
  25. The wind: Claiming the SSW wind was a fact and known is borderline insanity. The FBI admitted it was an estimate based on two assumptions. 1 - the wind at Portland and Salem was the same as the LZ and the Placard find location. 2 - the wind data was averaged over an hour. The wind at 8:30 at Portland was 180 deg S. The problems with the FBI assumptions are obvious, Portland and Salem are far from the LZ and Placard find so using it as a proxy is extremely unreliable. Winds change within miles. Averaging the winds over an hour is not reliable either, they can change within minutes. We don't have the wind data at the LZ or Placard find at the precise time so using SSW winds are a guess. Wind map variability. https://a.atmos.washington.edu/~ovens/wxloop.cgi?sfc_wa+24 Winds at Toledo at 8 PM were S. A South wind spins the LZ..
