I get tired of misrepresentations and straw-man nonsense. Georger does this all the time. I never claimed to know when Cossey made the chute or how many dummy chutes existed between Sheridan's time at Issaquah and Norjak. When you process all the information it is extremely unlikely the dummy chute Sheridan is referring to is the same one that Cossey made that went to Cooper. If you want to believe something else go ahead.
-
The Amboy chute doesn't match the SN 60-9707 card found on the plane.
-
UNBELEIVABLE.... You still missed it... this is getting ridiculous.. This is my last shot at it Blevins after this you are on your own. REAL SIMPLE.. a fifth grader can get it. The FBI was looking for the wrong chute because they were relying on Cossey's description. The Cooper chute may have already been found and rejected because of Cossey. Get it. All the chutes found and rejected need to be re-checked. There were many that were rejected because they didn't match Cossey's description of his NB6/8.
-
You completely missed it Blevins.... blind as a bat. and you call it BS and fluff because you are clueless.... crazy. You can read so it must be comprehension. The Detlor report is ENTIRELY irrelevant. Explain how we know that the chute Cooper took was Cossey's sage green/sage green modded NB6/8? I'll help you, it was Cossey's assumption.. get it. There is no other evidence to support the claim that was his NB6/8 sage green/sage green chute. Cossey claimed the chute left behind was a freefall sport chute, it wasn't. He got that one wrong. He never said the chutes were Hayden's, he always claimed they were his. Maybe he just assumed and made an error initially but he must have figured it out at some time. Two back chute packing cards were found SN 226 was returned to Hayden and SN 60-9707.. Cossey, NB6/8 sage green nylon container sage green nylon harness 28 FT white, modified handle. This may be the actual chute Cooper used.. this does NOT match Cossey's description of his chute.
-
I see you still fail to understand the chute problem.. You need to ask yourself,, if Cooper used one of Hayden's back chutes.. (SN 226 was returned) and there were two packing cards found (SN 226 and SN 60-9707) and Cossey's description of the remaining chute as a freefall Sport chute was wrong. and Cossey claimed his two back chutes were taken from Issaquah then changed it to his home. and Cossey never provided his chute records. and Cossey never met Hayden. and Hayden bought the chutes from a surplus shop. and Cossey claimed Cooper used his customized NB6/8 provided by himself. and Cossey is a proven liar. and Cossey is the only source for the description of the Cooper chute. and Cossey's initial chute description at his interview did not match the earlier chute descriptions. then, how do we know Cossey is correct that Hayden used his custom NB6/8 chute.. If Cossey was wrong and it looks likely... then they were looking for the wrong chute and it is probably the chute that belongs to the SN 60-9707 card. The Cooper chute may have been found and rejected based on Cossey, not the Amboy chute.

I don't know when Cossey made it or how many existed but I do know that there were many years between Sheridan's account and the use of the chute for Norjak that Cossey claimed to have made. I also know that Sheridan's assumption that the NORJAK chute was the same one he used many years before is not knowable by Sheridan. I also know the first account of any colour for the X was Black in Tosaw's book. I also know that the first account of a red X was in 2009 on DZ after the Parachutist article with "large X and red closing flaps".. I also know that Sheridan's first mention of a red X was after it was mentioned on DZ. He read DZ. I can also prove that Hillary Clinton didn't use her own private server, she used Bill's and shared it with high level Clinton Foundation operatives. The FBI covered that up for her, she lost anyway.

on the titanium... The pieces were CP titanium or commercially pure titanium not an alloy.. This is very important as titanium alloys can be found in many applications. CP Titanium was used in places like electronics, dentistry and even for ducts, water systems, blades mounts, seal repair kits, firewall etc. on the Boeing 727. It is possible some of the particles may have been picked up in the plane. To definitively track them down is impossible. One was a cp titanium nano rod or piece of micromesh.. perhaps some type of filter screen or wire. The other one had a piece of SS mechanically mashed into it. The 727 has CP Ti and SS valves near the lav.

"I had daisy chain the shroud lines." Sheridan Peterson referring to the chute in the 60's but he also believed it was the Cooper dummy chute... That implies he made the 60's dummy chute he used... Cossey reported he made the Cooper dummy chute many years later... These are not the same dummy chutes though Sheridan assumed they were.
-
Sheridan claimed he daisy chained the shroud lines on the dummy chute.
-
I believe the information supports a black X and that Cossey made it not Sheridan. Granted there is no complete direct evidence but that is common in this case.. I analyze the information as I know and understand it, take account of context and apply logic, reason, experience and history. That is the best I can do... you have to form "near facts" to advance. If there is more added info then I can re-assess. So far.. I do not believe the dummy chute Sheridan is referring to is the Cooper chute. The only support for it is an assumption by Sheridan 50 years later.

It is FLYJACK.. Skyjack was the book.. I didn't leave out Sheridan... I have read those accounts and don't believe the chutes are the same one. Sheridan claimed on July 17, 2016 it had a "red X" and he made that comment after the "red X" was on DZ.. In 2007 when he left it out the the "red X" was not public yet. Sheridan may have added the "red X" after reading it, an embellishment. There is no evidence the Cooper dummy chute was daisy chained. Also, Cossey claimed he had made it which would have been years later. FBI file part 11 p 53 "This chest pack was devised by COSSEY to teach trainees hung in a harness how to open the chest pack in the event of an emergency. The folds of the parachute are sewn together to preclude the parachute opening in the training room." Sheridan likely daisy chained a dummy chute in the 60's but there is no evidence it is the Cooper chute. He is probably referring to a completely different dummy chute. Apparently this is Issaquah in 1985, years later, but the students are in a practice harness.. at 1:15

Ulis just admitted he had the bank bag too small,,, he previously claimed 28 x 14.. 392 sq" I previously posted this vintage SeaFirst bag Size approx 29.5” X 19.5”... (31 x 19) = 589 sq" But he still claims Cooper could NOT tie the bag closed... even with a bank bag 30% larger.

Cossey claimed in a newspaper report the chute left behind was returned to him. It wasn't. He also made an NB6/8 replica of the chute he claimed was his, the one Cooper took. The first report of the chute taken by Cooper was olive drab container and tan cotton harness. When Cossey was interviewed 11/26 he claimed it was NB6 sage green nylon container/sage green nylon harness. Remember, Cossey said Cooper took the inferior chute. If Cossey got the chutes wrong then Cooper didn't. Chute SN 226 forwarded from Reno 11/24, the one returned to Hayden... it must have been the one left on the plane.. If Cossey got this one wrong he got the other chute wrong.

Cossey's story about the back chutes shifted... but what about Cossey's description of the chute left, a B-4 Sport rig, his freefall rig... does that match the chute Hayden got back.. images and packing card at Bruce's site.. https://themountainnewswa.net/2011/10/25/db-cooper-case-heats-up-again-with-controversy-over-parachutes/

Cooper would need a reason to pitch it out.. dudeman17, What do you make if this statement from Cossey, he later told Carr the back chutes came from his house. He claimed his back chutes were picked up from Issaquah with the reserves, not. But, he refers to a B-4 freefall Sport rig as the one left behind,, that doesn't match the one that was returned to Hayden SN 226. "The evening of the hijacking, Cossey received another call from authorities after the jet landed in Reno, and he then learned what happened to his gear. Cossey explains, “The skydiver staying at the loft had grabbed two of my personal backpacks and two chest packs from the drop zone. One was my B-4 sport rig and the other was my Pioneer NB-8, a Navy emergency chute used for pilots.” Over the phone, Cossey learned that Cooper took his NB-8 pilot emergency backpack and that his freefall rig remained in the aircraft." I think Cossey got the back chutes wrong... and the FBI has been looking for the wrong Cooper chute.
-
Let me game this out.. what if... The back chutes had rigger seals.. I assume the good front chute did as well but haven't seen confirmation. What if Cooper checked the cards and seals to ensure no beepers. The dummy with no card/seal gets tossed. Why else would he toss or take the dummy. Maybe, Emrich picked out that chute for the FBI to put in a beeper undetected..
-
Linn Emrich must have known it was a dummy reserve...
-
It is clear... and it is in a timeline. It is not in the FBI files, a myth... once these things take hold they are tough to shake. Another big one is that Cooper initially asked for aft airstairs down on takeoff, he didn't. Lowered in flight. Everyone still has that wrong. Tosaw's book is the first account and a "black X".. The "red X" did not appear until posted on DZ after the parachutist article "a large X and red closing flaps" After that it kept getting repeated,, a red X with no source. There is no credible account of a red X,,, Emrich picked out the chutes. Yes, it is very odd that he would grab an obvious dummy. Rataczak thinks it was intentional. Maybe.. who knows. He first looked for a pair of older-type chutes because, Emrick said, he knew he would "never get them back again." He didn't have two of the older chute, so Emrick gave them training parachutes. UNKNOWN to him at the time was the fact that one was for ground training only and was non-functional. the State Patrol picked up the chutes...

Snowmman says my account of the RED X on the dummy chute.. is not fully accurate, not sure what that means. I have it right.. it was a BLACK X. There was no red x.. it is a myth. 1984 Page 17 of Tosaw book. Emrich noted that one of the chutes he had chosen had a big black X painted on the casing and wondered what it meant. But there was no time to lose and he handed the two chutes to the officer and quickly departed. 2003 article updates for 2010 (2003 article text the same "marked with a large “X” and red closing flaps") There was no red X.. this reports an X with red closing flaps. https://uspa.org/p/Article/the-secrets-of-db-cooper-part-one-notorious-flight-305 "Belly-Mount Reserves Investigators also discovered that in his rush to grab the rigs, the skydiver in the loft accidentally grabbed the drop zone’s dummy reserve, marked with a large “X” and red closing flaps. The DZ used the dummy reserve for students to practice deploying the reserve by scooping the canopy out of the container and throwing it in the air and over their heads. Cossey explained, “For the dummy rig, I cut the reserve in half and sewed the panels together so that when the student threw it out, I could just fold it up and put it back in the container in half the time. That reserve was half the density of a regular reserve, and it was obvious to anyone with experience that it wasn’t a normal reserve.” Nonetheless, the regular reserve remained in the aircraft, and the dummy marked with an X was gone. Cossey personally thought Cooper removed the dummy reserve, stuffed the cash in its container and wore that on his chest as he jumped." Image from 2003 article.. 2007 "realized that one of them — marked with an X — was used only for classroom demonstrations. " https://www.deseretnews.com/article/695232501/Cold-DB-Cooper-case-gets-resurrected.html Jan 26, 2009 on DZ (the big red X appears) A combination of an X and red flaps.. "It was marked with a big red X, but was grabbed by the FBI, who were let in by an airport staffer who had a key." 2013 Step daughter of former employee Linn Emrick talks about the chutes, mentions the big X on one (no colour), Relevant part starts at 2:30 in video "Linn went over to the clubhouse and chose two chest or reserve parachutes the backpacks had been provided by another party but they needed the reserve chutes, Linn found those and as the story goes one of them had a big X on it the front and he wasn’t sure what that meant. Later he found out that was called a dummy chute that was one that wasn’t functional at all, used for training purposes."

FBI files claiming Cossey owned the chutes.... This came from Cossey, he did not provide any records... and has expressed a shifting and false story. Cossey claimed his chute left in the plane was returned,,, a lie..
-
Not a serious question... Blevins... and mocking others that way is a projection of your own inadequacies. You don't deserve an explanation.

We don't know how clear those micro images were for the series,, Since there were no 1950D and 1950E bills as you would expect,, IMO, the errors are more likely in reading the series.. For my list I just left the bill SN's as they are in the FBI list but made a notation.. The big problem we have is the lack of the original random order as given to Cooper.
-
There are many 1963A bills that end in "D".. B17745050D, L26672287D, L27108703D, L27143052D, L29580707D, L35534904D There are three options, a wrong letter typo, the historical data is wrong or the date 1963A is wrong but SN is correct. Now, check the 1950 bills... many don't fit the ranges.. The larger serial number would have been much easier to get right than the small year print on the processed image of the micro.. My guess is the SN's are correct but years are wrong but we can't check. The RECORDAK machine normally takes full images of front and back of bills,, For the Cooper ransom fund, only one side and one half of the bill was imaged.
