I'm in 100% agreement. On occasion, when doing more than my normal # of jumps, I'm too wussy & will pay a packer cause my shoulders hurt. Or if it's too hot & I don't wanna sweat or too cold & my fingers are numb. I've paid for 7 pack jobs in 160 jumps (& 5 of those were due to debriefing requirments). It's not necessarly the packers that call you lazy, it's the fun jumpers that are willing to do it themselves (mostly cause they're jealous & wanna be outside too) or the people that get pack jobs & are secure enough in their lazyness. Or like this... A husband & wife were out golfing. Around the 9th hole the wife's 1st hit was a huge slice, the ball dissapeared over a fence somewhere. The husband climed over the fence & found he was in a cow pasture. Wondering around, he noticed a cow w/ a funny mooo.... he lifted the tail & there wedged in the cow's hole was his wife's golf ball. Ex knows bout current, current might know bout ex... there was no subterfuge, definately!! I HATE that & am a firm believer in peopless fast ability to lose trust. Ok, I started jumping in '02, at the end of season I started seeing a dz employee. Well @ the end of season he went back to his home country & I went to visit for a few weeks. we really we're all that serious, pretty much a weekend relationship - in reality other than jumping we didn't have much in common. he decided, or rather couldn't come back last season '03 & i figured he didn't really expect me to wait around for him. So, i met a wonderful, wonderful fun jumper last spring. We started dating & since have gotten rather serious. I really really am crazy about this man. Current s/o was around in '02, but not hanging out so much. So I THINK he's aware of my past relationship, but am not certain.... next season '04, ex is coming back to work @ the dz. what should I do? Everyone involed I believe are rational thinking pretty much adults. I know if he had dated someone (that I didn't know about) & she showed up @ the dz - if he didn't tell me & I found out bout her, I'd wonder why he had hidden it from me & be suspious - till he explained himself. However, if I knew an ex of his was going to be coming to the dz... the concern would kill me. I'd rather be totally oblivious, which in reality is not really that probable. There is no can't. oohh, just thought of another one... Jamicans.... I'd swear they're not speaking english. but when the slow down you realize that you can understand about 1/2 of waht they're saying. Most other languages require conjugation of verbs, you have to match the adj w/ the sex of the noun & even others you have to conjugate the noun... it's CRAZY!! Yes, spelling in english is VERY hard!! I could still use lots of help, but at least you say the same verb no matter who you're talking about. There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Val, I agree w/ this 100%. I met my so @ the dz & am so glad!! No one could make me happier. There are a bunch of couples @ CSC, but there are a bunch of single people too... no matter, we all party the same. Just some people know which tent they're sleeping in . My so from last year will be returning next season, I'll have to see how it goes then, but think it'll be ok. Everyone involved is fairly reasonable. I think there are many types of people @ the dz; but related to this topic, there's the adventure sport enthusiast that just can't settle down, there's no stopping them & death is something to be near. Then there's the people that get their jollys by jumping out of planes & that's really it - in every day life they are normal every day people (with a slight edge to them). It takes a certain personality not only to jump out of planes but also to stick around & do the stupid grounded stuff @ night... drinkers should marry drinkers non drinkers should marry non drinkers now has been revised to partiers should marry partiers.... otherwise it just won't work. This is absolutely horrible. It is such a great reminder to us as the holiday party season is here. Also, it is a reminder to look out for others that may not be as responsible as you. It's tragically horrible, but watch what cars you walk behind. Thanks so much!! It's funny, we're actually the same height, but here I'm barefoot & scrunched over while he's standing tall w/ shoes on. He hates posed pictures, you can kinda see the discomfort - he looks the same in every pic & I hate it when I get drunk & my face squishes up - but that's life - it was a blast of a party!
