A few years back I had my wallet stollen & didn't notice it for a whole weekend. On monday Citibank called to invistigate some "odd" charges on my account. Over all they charged $8,000 on various CCs, $500 to my debit card & opened 3 new store CCs. It's all still on my credit report as "pending investigation". Everyone took all the carges off my accounts - luckly wasn't liable for any of it. Now I have my SSN under fraud alert & check it every quarter.
