Def do... per year mine is $250 for $40,000 of stuff & then $75 for $10,000 of skydiving gear specifically. Everyone should get it. All my stuff is covered anywhere; be it in the locker @ the dz, in my car when traveling, in a U-haul when moving, in a friend's car when they're borrowing it - anywhere. The news on this is amazingly horrible, but the return from our wonderful community is so uplifting. I almost cry every time I read this thread. Velocity & Aerodyne are def manufacturers I will prob buy from because of their wonderful contribution. I wish I could fly to CA to jump there (but I don't want to pay an airline over $250 to get there)... I LOVED Elsinore the weekend I was there last year - it is such a wonderful place, the people, the land & the atmosphere are all gorgeous. Because of this I called my renter's insurance agency. For an additional $75/year; I have up to $10,000 in gear covered... I thought it was covered - glad I checked. You all are wonderful people, we can only hope that some good will come from the accident (beyond the tremendous response already shown). Love & hope you all my skysisters & brothers. I can't save... that's why I skydive, drive fast, eat fatty foods, smoke, play in the street & run PLFKING... I really like that plan, thanks for the idea. I just have to save enough to get south, I want a place where it's warm outside when we get an exercise break

Same here. We can have one of those senior citizen apartments and work alternate days. Can I join you ladies? It'll be fun I swear & I'd even move back to FL!! I'd love to contribute, but right now just under 20% of my income goes to pay debt... old debt like closed credit cards & student loans . Once I'm like 40 & done paying those off... Guess I should find a doc. Pain actually started last year, noticed that I couldn't put my down-plane arm over the person next to me, then after RW jumps my finger tips were numb.... guess that's really why I went to Freeflying

I have a question & this seems to be the best thread... anyway, i use to swim (3rd - 9th grade), then I found partying... a few years a go I started doing triathlons, then I found skydiving. Well, recenlty I started going to the gym doing laps & the whatnot... anyway... my shoulder (L) HURTS!! I can barely pick up my arm. After 50m of butterfly I can barely feel my hand. When I use the kickboard my arm throbs & my shoulder feels like it's going to crumble. I heard that there are exercises to strengthin the rotater cuff... and RoadRash, you mention a frozen shoulder... any ideas on exercises or ways to get rid of this? I use to swim the 800IM w/ shorter races in brest & butterfly. Now in races I do brest to keep pace & regulate my breathing, but when I need to pass someone I break into a free sprint (races are only 800-1000 yards). Everyone's advice on the malfunction junction area is right on. Also, if you live accross teh bay in St. Pete & have to commute to Tampa, you have to cross one of 4 bridges & those are almost as bad. I live in Chicago & traffic here RARELY gets as bad as those areas get every day. Sarasota is WONDERFUL, however, Bradenton as they said is just to the north & MUCH less expensive. You can hardly tell where one ends & the other takes over, I grew up in B'ton, but know Sarasota almost as well. Brandon is just sout of Tampa, north of Palmetto, it's a good place also. Plus it has a highway heading streight east that almost runs into Lake Wales. Lakeland is were my parents live now, its less expensive than Tampa or Bradenton (Manatee county), but it's also more inland (read FL crackers!!) This New Tampa is so new I hadn't heard of it, sounds nice, great location, esp if you want to jump @ Z-hills. The west coast is the best coast!! Sarasota's key, Siesta Key has had the "whitest beaches in the world" for many years. There are 2 other beaches (one in Asia & on in the FL panhandle) that are near it. USF is a great college D1AA (same as D1, but not as sports oriented), it's in Tampa area and has branches in Lakeland & Bradenton. Wonderful campus... wish I had gone there all 4 years! Anyway, the people that live there now are more knowlegable, but if you feel like PMing me... feel free. My specialty area is Brandon, Bradenton/Sarasota, inland from Brandon to the south end of Lakeland (which is VERY near Lake Wales). There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. I agree 100% w/ you benny! Fine, make it 0 tolerance, drink & you don't drive. I also agree w/ unstable in that drunk drivers should have much more harsh penaltys for breaking the law. It is almost rediculous to think that there would ever be a prohibition era again... never know though. But I thought we were fighting the muslims so they could drink too... Oh, yah, florida has no state income tax - yahoo!! But it's a good thing, since most incomes are quite a bit lower than the rest of the country. Housing is MUCH less expensive. You can get a 2500^2 home for less than $200K... in an actual town. however you better make sure the foundation is supurb, cause otherwise you'll end up w/ HUGE mf sized palmetto bugs & they fly!! I'd pick GA, it has some seasons, has DZ, has a beach, has mountains, doesn't have quite as big of bugs. Either way, they are both not as hot as AZ, CA or most of TX. Sure it's humid, but that's why god invented AC. and to AirCav What the heck are you talkin bout boy?!?!?! The Gulf is much better than the east coast. It has a 45degree temp range all year. The water MIGHT get to 68 in January (Atlantic rarely gets above 74). The gulf doesn't have as much seaweed, rocks, dead fish or sharks on it's shores. Gulf sand is made of seashells, not ROCKS! On the east coast, you touch the sand, your feet are dirty, like black tar dirty. Nothing beats Clearwater/Tampa/Sarasota area - NOTHING! unless you're somewhere w/ Mountains... I sure do miss those. Sounds exactly like 2 days we had in chicago a week or so ago - SUCKS the big one. I JUST LOVE it when we get a week of 10degrees as the high, esp when you can count on the windchill taking bout 10 - 20 degrees off that wonderfull number. bundle up, we've already had numerous people die of this weather. frostbite can set in w/i 30 seconds. i'm just glad i'm not in NW Montana!! THAT is so true!! Nice girls want almost anyone, but even a nice guy usally still wants the hottie girl. hot girls tend to want hot guys who in turn have a higher rate of being an asshats. Eventually everyone grows up or grows old single. I'm glad I finally grew up & realized that there are some very good looking nice guys. they may not be hitting a modeling runway anytime soon, but mine is a damn hottie (imho) & he is on a runway as much as possible (in a plane that is anyway). I def understand!! On my first coach jump, I went out the door like a 2x4, flipped & everything. My coach was like WTF, you HAD perfect arch... I was just so scared to not have someone stabalizing me on exit that I forgot that I already knew what to do. On my first SOLO jump, I did the count "up, down, out"... very goofy. Then i came upon some light puffy clouds & they FREAKED me out!! I thought they were going to hurt & you could see just how fast you were falling. I was certain my alti was broken, almost pulled @ 9K !! but was afraid of the tandems behind me... luckly i got that out of the way. 2nd solo i couldnt decide to dive or do a poised exit. so i dove out facing into the prob blast... not sure what happened exactly, but i ended up on my belly . i LOVE nice calm do what ever you want solo dives. unless i do more than 3 in a row - then they're BORING!! If I don't wanna do one & don't feel like jumping w/ anyone, I ask to manifest so I can pull round 8K - then you can have canopy fun!!! just look out for the HUGE tandem canopys below you.
