Actually, I was (literally 28 min ago) having this exact same conversation w/ a friend of mine. Both she & I have never liked kids. Now, she's married & pregnant w/ twins & is hoping that having them will change her heart. I say why risk it? This is something you can live with out. Why mess up a child that turns into another messed-up adult just cause you hoped you would change? This is a question for all people. It just so happens that women tend to be more are naturally nurturing, guess I missed that gene also. Last night had the conversaton w/ a friend like this: I'm not sure what I'd do if I got pregnant. FOR ME abortion is not an option emotionally, however @ 28, I'm too old to (IMO) ligitimatelly give a child up for adoption (it would just be selfish); but do you then just suffer through 18 years of raising a hopefully mentally healthy human? K, I've read this whole thread & come to this conclusion, neither side will ever convince the other that they are right. Esp not on the internet & esp not using biased material & arguments. I do have 2 questions though, 1. someone said "OBL would be dead and we wouldn't be in Iraq." My question is how? How would the dems have gotten to OBL better than GWB. Would we be in N. Korea instead? How would things have ended differently in the Middle East w/ in Office? also, 2. Yes, jobs were lost. I would like to know what a Dem would have done differently. What EXACTLY did GWB do to cause these jobs to dissapear? Economies go in cycles - that is a fact. HOW could a pres that took office shorlty after a down cycle had begun reverse this? Most people like Roosevelt - the only thing that saved our economy in the 30's was WWII. Perhaps the depression would have ended, but it was the USA's huge war making machine that put everyone to work, pulled our economy & thus a majority of the world's economies out of a desasterous downward spiral. Presidents ought to be the cream of the crop & make the best decisions, however, historically a majority of presidents were blundering idiots. Yet somehow we made it to where we are now. IMO, the US is resemblent of ancient Rome, look at their ceasars - many horrid horrid men - based on the rate of change in this age, we will not be a power as long as Rome, but our rulers have been no where as corrupt. Yes, we have to vote for the lesser of 2 evils... question is, would you rather have someone that lies for the sake of getting the job done or someone that just lies. There is no can't. I take nite quil to sleep - only thing that works. get your iron!! B-12 (if the full B complex it's better) helps pick up the mood too. you know the tricks of eating crackers & the what not. try tea also, but w/ honey, the natural sugar will sit better & is a pick up too. my mom swears on ecenashia (I know it's spelled wrong) - but I don't really believe in it. the NW train station has a newer food place called the soup box - really good stuff & easier on the tummy. hope you feel better! Andy I know stores, but only on the north side (Lincoln Park/Boys town area). I think there's one on Clark just south of Diversity near that Jewel - has some french name. I still go to stores, I like to look @ the vid boxes, the pics & read the discriptions. May have to venture onto the WWW for this though, don't know the stores in the suburbs.
