    Friday July 4th Main Post Parade Field-Ft Bragg Events start at 3PM with Freefall Parachute Demonstration, Music by the Sound Express, Flag Ceremony at 8PM, followed by the 82nd Band featuring the 1812 Overture with Cannon Fire and Fireworks at 9:45 PM I'm working on details of any changes due to homeland security for civilians to get on base for the event. If going, it is worth being there in time for the Flag Ceremony at 8pm. We will meet at Raeford Parachute Center to car pool. I'll post more details as I get them. Also - Aviator's barbeque pig-pickin dinner Saturday night is only $6 per person!

    packaho is fitting in nicely into her new DZ home. Packing her little heart away during the week and leaving room for jumping on the weekends! Now that takes a woman to plan. Go girl!

    Dude - Ouch, hope your ribs heal quick. Check out the stock list PD has online. You can get it overnight if ready to skydive! No delays needed. Get your butt to Raeford - no excuses!

    And I missed the whole thing! Gone to S.C. all Friday and Saturday. Back in town Sat. evening, but did the dinner at the in-laws thing Saturday evening (not that I suffered when it came to that dinner). Sunday I barely introduced myself to SwoopMonkey before we were headed in different directions all day! Two fun jumps, three AFF student jumps. Good day of skydiving -- but sorry I didn't get a chance to hang out and jump with you Bill! Come back again and we'll plan more "quality" time in the air! And yes, I heard from those that did jump with Bill, he earned his Monkey name.

    It was Union County Airport Fun Day. An annual event in Union County. Many airshow type activities have "extra" FAA eyes watching. I don't disagree with the FAA being there. They are just doing their job. You should have seen the poor FAA guy dealing with a hot air balloonist. He had his balloon tethered for rides and as long as it was tethered FAA couldn't do anything! The ground winds were averaging 6 mph, but when we would get a gust to 11.6, the balloon wanted to go east. With a tethered basket, it made for a little entertainment.

    Your not the only one "out" today Katiebear! I just spent 6 hours standing on asphalt under clouds and sun, heavily watched by the FAA. Ended up doing only two, that's 2, Cessna loads. Then drove 3 3/4 hours home. All I have to show for it is a hell of a sun burn and a fuel bill to fly the Cessna to Union County Airport, SC and back. I hope for better turn out and weather next year! BUT - on the bright side - everyone there was very nice, great hospitality. It was no one's fault the weather sucked.

    Try reading Romans, Chapter 2, verses 12-15. Especially verse 14. For those that may not have a bible handy: This section of the letter Paul was written to the Romans means that little child that dies before knowing Christ, or the uneducated isolated country that has never heard of God will not necessarily burn in hell because they are not "saved" or because they do not have the written law. Rather if they are of good heart, good people and live by their own righteous law, they will be saved as the Jew of Paul's time that obeyed the written law of God.
