  1. Sunshine: Glad to hear you are home. I'm sure you will sleep better there than at the hospital. Hang in there girl! I tried to e-mail you from the e-mail address on your profile. It was kicked back. I was not sure if it was current or just full! Keep those pain meds going for another few days. You need rest right now. Gentle hugs to you - Kate
  2. Mouth: Where is Kris? Kris!! Here Kris, Kris, Kris! See? No answer. I haven't heard, seen, or read his name in any of these lists. What's up with that?

    Hootie Hoo

DaGimp - The newest freak to Raeford! He even ordered a new freefly suit. Let's go sit fly some time Jake.
  4. Be sure to bring your freak suits. Stephen Lee and a few others are dying for company since their team mates got deployed. Fast is cool by the way.....and it has nothing to do with the Bud Lite.....maybe something to do with that steak and fries......
  5. I said Bud Lite! Give me a break. Ok, how about your favorite - Michelob Ultra.....
  6. I'm a wee bit of a jumpsuit hog. But it is better than collecting shoes! 2 - freefly suits 1 - freefly pants 1 - RW no grippers, padded cordura knees, supplex front, spandex arms for when I do AFF & S/L students 1 - basic RW jumpsuit without booties for when I work as an Evaluator 1 - Sit Suit with wings 3 - RW suits with all the bells and whistles. I have an old favorite that I keep making Michigan Suits rebuild the booties when it needs it. But I especially like the new bootie design I just got a few months ago.
  7. Great Job! Welcome back to the sport. Keep us posted as to your continued progress.
  8. Skyventure talked about their expansion a bit while at the PIA Symposium last January. Growing, growing, growing! And those few thousand jump tickets to build you a wind tunnel would need to be closer to a million jump tickets........
  9. Half the battle is just getting to the gym. You are well over the hump, so keep up the good work - out!
  10. Geek away my friend - that is exactly what we want to do! We hope to have a setting so that we can videotape and audio record the stories. Now help me get the story tellers!
  11. July 19 – 20th, 2003; WHO is B.O.B? The Bill Ottley Boogie!! Meet Bill Ottley and other guests. Some of the best historians of our sport. Stories from the people that were there and here today. Meet several of the pioneers of skydiving! Turbine aircraft, good friends, good fun! Call (910) 904 0000, email Raeford@attglobal.net or http://www.jumpraeford.com/Events.htm for more details. For all those that enjoy the "living" history and fun of skydiving - please join us at Raeford Parachute Center, North Carolina to meet, mingle and skydive with a lot of great folks. I am also looking for that "living" history. So if any one can PM me with anyone's information or ask them to contact me, I would greatly appreciate it. I have some contacts but don't want to leave anyone out.
  12. Dude - just tell me you don't look like your photo. Or maybe SkyMama's warning is to be be taken literally. Beer - at least one case, Bud Lite is a must. Slot Perfect will probably not be able to join us, but who knows..... Kris - I don't see your name honey!
  13. Glad to see you this weekend! What a kick ass party at Aviator's last night! We were doing the Mother's Day thing with Gene & Billie last night. Heard the hootin and holler'in all the way to the house.
  14. If you do go, here are some suggestions: Smile - a lot - let them wonder why you are smiling Smile some more - at all the folks that at still full of themselves and only have high school 20 years before to talk about Smile again - when you show them photos of who you now are. Be sure those photos are of yourself at home, in the air, at work AND of all your friends and family since high school. Smile at yourself - wear what you are comfortable in and can use again. Unless it is hosted at a restaurant that requires a dress, be clean, neat and comfortable. Worst case scenario - you don't like being there. So leave and you will never regret it. It may surprise you what little control those old memories really have over you now. Best case scenario - you enjoy yourself and have a great evening. You will never regret it and you realize what little control those old memories really have over you now. Let us know what you do and how it goes!
  15. I will check with Aviator's to see what he has scheduled for the weekend!
  16. Wow, too sad for jokes here.
  17. Ouch! Don't hug him too hard!
  18. I got nothing when it loaded. I would like to see the studies that they did immediately after 9/11 during the time when all but military aviation was grounded. How much the jet trails were changing our weather, etc.
  19. It was very special that you stayed with Brutus when he was put to sleep. I'm sure it took all fear away from him. Especially since he was not even in the scary vet office, but your van that he knew. You were a great friend to him all the way to the last. {{{{{{{loads of hugs}}}}}}}
  20. Thanks for the update. Hope all continues to go well.
  21. Ohh, so you're who Sunshine loves.........
  22. I don't know Wingnut. What is he like?
  23. Dude - so sorry to hear about your vehicle. I love my "Ho" as I call her. She has 160,000 miles on it and still moving right along. I would cry if it got totalled. I totally like the idea of no car payments and low insurance! Good luck with the search! Let us know what you get.
  24. I'm so sorry for the loss. Prayers and thoughts to you and John's family.
