Just a reminder that the Bill Ottley Boogie is just around the corner, July 19-20th. Lots of skydiving history and trivia. Videos, presentation by Gene Thacker, Bill Ottley and more.
-
Sweeney - you know something we don't know about Dan?
-
Of course you're crazy. That's why you are a cool skydiver! I started skydiving in the fall of 1993, bought a gear store by Feb. 1994, a DZO by 2000 and the rest is history.......yep, we're crazy!

Well?? How did the exam go? I bet you found it was worth it. Hang in there!
-
Thanks for the pics all! I was busy with team training and felt I left myself out! I promise not to schedule another team training weekend over a boogie. It was still cool to see everyone. To go to Fort Bragg fireworks Friday night, hang out in RV land Saturday night, and Sunday night, well, just flat out sucked.

Personally, I enjoyed both the Star Wars and Lord of the Rings series. But ---------- really ----------------------- folks! Sunshine is cool in my book. Watch what you want Sunshine!

Hello CaneSpider! Welcome to the sport. I am sure that Danny Smith and his gang will take good care of you in Chester. Tell them Kate from Raeford says hello! AFF is a cool way to learn. Just be patient and alert during your training and I am sure you will do fine. Keep us posted and let us know how you are doing as you experience skydiving for the first time. blue skies!

Yep knowing a few DZ.commers is a great way to break into a new Drop Zone! Glad you finally posted!

Hellooooooooo! Did you not catch my post? I also need to add PilotChick who has already arrived from Michigan and has been jumping! Freeflyers - Liz, Kelly, Denyse. Raefordite can hold a good sit and Colbrodie has been known to sit from time to time herself. ALLLLLLL the ladies flat fly as well!
-
Girl - don't you worry about yourself! There will be plenty of girl power this weekend. Denyse is working on an all girls raft jump! Yippee! Since you're an early morning girl, maybe a girls raft jump first thing in the AM!! Between Denyse, Colbrodie, Rhonda, Raefordite, Liz, Packaho, Kelly and a number more - the ladies will be here! There are grocery stores near by. Just give your list to hummmmm, I think I just heard, yep it was - - Amish volunteer to make a trip for you. Loads of refrigs around in the manifest, SKY KAT, RPC school not to mention the RV's. Somehow all the coolers seem to be full..............
-
Kris - if you had a name like "sunnydee123", I would have given you that responsibility.
-
Cool another chick in Raeford! All this guy muscle stuff around here, my head gets dizzy some times. Chicks Rock! SkyMonkey One and I will have to get together to AFF with ya. Keep your head down and thanks for being there for all of us civilians here in the US.
-
Why as soon as you get up, shag a few RV's around to wake folks up and hit the loading zone! Since you are a morning person, I officially anoint you as the "wak-er up-er" each morning.
-
And don't use so much that you remain f-up the next day and can't jump.
-
You guys are killing me! R-A-E-F-O-R-D

Between all the Sanyo 5300 phone/cameras and my digital we should have a very nice selection of photos for the web site.

Friday July 4th Main Post Parade Field-Ft Bragg Events start at 3PM with Freefall Parachute Demonstration, Music by the Sound Express, Flag Ceremony at 8PM, followed by the 82nd Band featuring the 1812 Overture with Cannon Fire and Fireworks at 9:45 PM I'm working on details of any changes due to homeland security for civilians to get on base for the event. If going, it is worth being there in time for the Flag Ceremony at 8pm. We will meet at Raeford Parachute Center to car pool. I'll post more details as I get them. Also - Aviator's barbeque pig-pickin dinner Saturday night is only $6 per person!
