  1. Yep, I agree, Mom's rock.
  2. well now that you two have something in common - settle it by meeting in the US for some skydiving fun!
  3. Congrats to you and your brother! They do a good safe job at Chester with their students. Now you know exactly what to buy your brother for Christmas - - Jump Tickets (and maybe a turtle neck to help with the winter weather).
  4. The 82nd Sport Parachute Activity Club does still have a demo team. And yes, they most definitely jump squares. Very similar to the Golden Knight demo team - just a much smaller budget. Plus these guys all have full time jobs in the military. They train on weekends and when off duty. A great group of guys & gals. Very professional. By the way - the news is BULL! The 82nd demo team is training at Raeford Parachute Center as I type. The entire team. They know nothing about the incident.
  5. Does anyone know if Sebastian of Eureka BSD altimeters is still in business? They make the FT50 altimeter. I have been trying to get an order of 20 altimeters from him. They are several weeks late now. I received several promises at first. Now no response via e-mail and an invalid fax number. Or does anyone have current contact information? Thanks
  6. At Raeford we have the following: Aviator's Bar & grill located on the DZ Beer Fridge in a few locations on the DZ Hang out in "Campy land" with the RV's & Tents and....... The most recent addition is our bonfire with outdoor projection DVD/TV player! Most enjoyable with the cooler weather.
  7. Congrats Jay! I remember the record break in Raeford. I bet it was awesome for all there to be part of it. Hope you folks raised loads of cash for the special Olympics!
  8. Sorry I saw this thread so late. Could have helped? Anyway - SkyMonkeyOne's Number 1 lady was killin it in Raeford today. Jumped her new freefly suit. Looks like it was made for someone about 4 inches taller and for much larger hips then you will ever want to put your arms around. Fit great from the waist up! Torso is too long from the waist down, hips, leg length. Monkey - did you measure this woman after a brew or two? I think she plans to send it back. Sunny, 70 degrees and flew 6 Otter and lots of Cessnas today. Miss ya SkyMonkeyOne!
  9. Didn't know it was a B-Day! Happy Happy Birthday to you!! Hope your day is special.
  10. Now you know why I asked you when would you be home!! Didn't want you to miss out. DaGimp is correct - $15 out of Twin Otter to 13,000 or Cessna to 10,500 ft until last day of operation in 2003, Dec. 23rd. Come and get it!
  11. Forgot this photo by Wade. Now if I could just get him to post it himself.......silly marine
  12. Ok girl - check out these photos taken two weekends ago by Wade while at the bonfire at Raeford. Little King Tut is having his way with FireStarter Dragon! Waycool is well, way cool..... And smack is my personal favorite
  13. Cool Camera girl! The photos came out better than I thought with the available light. The bonfire definitely rocks. The projector is the mac-daddy to it all.
  14. The helmet paint job is particularly sweet. The red ball effect when DaGimp is wearing the helmet is especially effective. You are such a weirdo......
  15. Birthday? Did I read birthday? Well, Happy Birthday Sangiro!
  16. Yippee! Welcome home Katie!
  17. GO Cubs GO!! I need not say more.
  18. Happy, happy birthday to you PLFKING!! Hope you have a great day.
  19. The boys in blue are lookin fine
  20. The smores and hot dogs were gone by 7pm around the DZ bonfire last night. DaGimp was in rare form. FireStarter was attacked by Little King Tut! No jumping due to weather yesterday, but the first load has flown today!
  21. 10 hours? Heck, even Thanksgiving weekend with the worst of traffic, maybe a little over 8 hours from DeLand to Raeford The fire pit is ready and has been tested. We be cool - no I mean hot!
  22. I prefer online shopping if sizing a product is not a big issue. So rarely do I purchasing clothing, but just about everything else. I find I spend less. No spontaneous "window" shopping. I usually find an idea in a catalog, or similar ad, then search online. That way I buy what I was shopping for and nothing else. No over purchasing. If I don't know the company, I do a BBB check before buying. My favorite is Staples for my business office supplies. They will deliver anything at no additional cost. I just got a damaged file cabinet. The shipper dropped it. No problem! It was picked up and delivered a new cabinet within 24 hours. Now that is service.
  23. Well at least you will never run short of fertilizer!
  24. It took me exactly a year and 10 days to make my first 100 jumps. Luckily, I have averaged a bit more each year since then.
  25. Now you know why do you think he got the name Fire Starter Dragon!
