aaaaaand, these folks know the game. They consistantly describe thier problem as "difficulty breathing" or something like that where it bumps the response up to a "Priority 1", I have to drive, lights and siren, risking my partner, myself, and everyone on the roads for absolutle bullshit Lets add a big ol fire engine & crew to the mix too, what the hell ------------------------------------------ The Dude Abides. -

I got like 6, 7 miles of steep twisty mountain roads to get out of my nieghborhood. I use chains and throw 3 80lb. bags of cement in the back of my truck. Looks like maybe sunday or monday we get our first snow here. At work theres "automatic" (useless) chains on 2 units and a 4X4 with chains if need be. ------------------------------------------ The Dude Abides. -

My wifes a teacher in Bakersfield, with a 60 mile commute from the mountains. Schools go on like 2 hour fog delays every so often. Thats just for the kids though, she's still got to be there on time and sometimes needs to chain up to get out of the snow here at home to get to the foggy drive part ------------------------------------------ The Dude Abides. -

I work with 7 specific hospital emergency rooms on a regular basis and aside from specific "specialty care", there are a LOT of differences. From my point of view its mostly differences in attitudes and staffing. ------------------------------------------ The Dude Abides. -

For anyone doubting, that is a shining example of a troll post (despite the fact that the user who made it very well might be "real"). Dear Dropdeded, it is unlikely someone registered an account in 2002 for trolling purposes and didn't get caught in the six years that passed in the meantime, especially since they made over 11k posts. Really!!! I heard that had arrested 5 people for looting, but they caught the perp who started all this? Grrrrrrr...... Transported a pt to Henry Mayo in Valencia about 2 in the A.M. Holy crapolli!! The "Sayre" fire was close. I have a niece in NorCal I havent seen for a few years and I "pocket dialed" her a month or so ago from work. It was a very busy night and after work I saw a message from her on my phone, she said she had listened for a long time and "I hope he lived" I drive a bambulance and some of the conversations are pretty sick and graphic (stress relief).
