These are still fun threads, but less than when I first started reading the forums. The absolute and unwavering vitriol from the left is tiring though and I'm still not sure exactly what another administration would have done (actions, not words) differently or, even so, if something different would have turned out better. I'm sure some different actions would have taken longer. I hear a lot of complaints, but only rhetoric, not alternatives. In general, I think GWB is direct and honest and intends well (I did not feel that way with the last president, or many of the current congressment in power now). The actions so far, some are ok, some less so. Who has done exactly perfect, from everyone's perspective, in their job in the last 3 three years? I'd like to meet you and hire you for some high level projects. ... So right. It's a small investment to have good jumpers to play with in a couple years. My Sunday was 2 jumpers (each on 2-ways with me), each with about 30 jumps, and I walked them through their first Mantis training. (Basic body position, fall rate, turns) The vibes and big eyes were completely worth the jumps. It's like watching the joy in a baby's eyes when they learn to walk - except on adults. Good stuff here - the helmut arrived Friday, just in time for the weekend. It's fantastic. I'll likely take off the shield in the summer and wear goggles under it - but the it's not too bad in any case. Flat black (matte finish). I'm hoping to get at least 2 of my 3 three teammates into serious tunnel time this winter. Then CRANK it up next year. Just for fun and to keep this forum active, here's a zircon inter and finish ... Well, we are fast enough now. I took a knee across the jaw during practice and my mouth didn't close square for 4 days after. The Z1 is on order. Hopefully shows up this week. New toys are fun. Any thoughts on what are good helmuts out there for 4-way? Who removes the visor and uses goggles underneath? Why? I have some thoughts on when I'd rather have the visor vs not but more input would be cool. Now I'll have three (Frap, Bonehead for freeflying, and the Z1) No helmut used for CrW. It's going to be a great weekend - mid 70's to mid 80's, light clouds. ...
