  1. The government should buy you a new one. We can raise taxes for it. Possibly on Haliburton, maybe just on immigrants. Either way. or we can move this thread to bonfire ... I combined the output of this tool with a spreadsheet of mine that did analysis, comparison to goals, monthly breakdowns, inter averages by block, random averages, etc. Scoring projections... 7. not at all - that is not the "answer", it's an effect a more likely response is that it's a placebo effect. however, that doesn't diminish the results when the effect is a net positive on society ... 8. this I'm good with ditto vice versa -: intelligent person will not say that God does exist. You can say that you believe in God and that there is no evidence to suggest that you shouldn't 1st corrollary - I don't really care which side is right either, though I consider belief in a deity ---as a CONSTRUCT used by humanity to temper/mitigate social interaction in a more positive manner--- to be the most likely scenario. and one that's been misused over time as well for less positive effect... i.e., deity = a very powerful placebo when expectations are well meaning and defined correctly ... 14. I don't "need" booties. I want booties. See earlier comment about right tools for the job. I can close on a student faster and easier with them. If you feel the most competent with booties, then absolutely you should have them. In short - if you pick any builder and go with a "normal" full sized bootie (no gimmicks like vents or afterburners, just the simple blade from knee to toe, etc), and if they are fitted correctly and you take care of your suit, you'll find they do the job much better than wearing (used, or old, or worn suits) and your current experience with those. If you buy from a local, you might get a better delivery and followup service too. Bootie pants are a decent option, btw. A correct fit is a big deal. I can send you a separate note if you like about the various manufacturers and personal opinions (I have positive points for all of them really) I have on each bootie and design - I've owned multiple brands (Skimmer, Michigan, Tony, Bev all are good, also owned a Hawk but she's not in business anymore - anything other, you'd have to ask me, there's about three more I've encountered and I'm not impressed, the rest, I don't know), the wife has had to resize and repair pretty much all of them for various customers, as well as builds her own, so we have a lot of info. From this point, I believe you will get comments either like stayhigh's (freefallers that don't like RW suits period), or people arguing over their favorite suitbuilder (same old advocacy threads you can find anywhere). But to stayhigh's point - as you get more experience, you'll get more comfy working in most any outfit that at least gets you close to your customer's fall rate ... 15. that's not what was said - don't mince words (I'd also accept 'don't mints words', but for different reasons) 'accessible' 'taxpayers pay for everybody' I like the idea of a market that provides the need. 17. I remember you from Couch Freaks, so these options will sound familiar, I have options: 1 - just my comp Skimmer suit, especially if it's in the middle of my RW range and I want the booties for POWER and response 2 - the Skimmer bootie pants - finding more tandem instructors use these, but a few AFFIs also. A bit more flexible and comfy and easier to don/doff 3 - most of the time I just wear my baggiest old FF pants and a long sleeve Tshirt or sweatshirt (hoodless) - I can get into and out of it fast, comfy to pack in on most days 4 - Or whatever I think I should use on that jump/day short of it - I like a lot of fabric (shaped like booties, or sloppy like FF pants) at my legs so I have power and leverage. asking about brands here is goofy - people advocate what they own and it opens silly stealth advertising from the usual trolls, find what YOU like and wear that - be open to anything depending on what you need to wear with each-specific-student you have enough skill and experience to be an instructor now, you certainly have the ability to dress for success. I doubt you'll see anything in these responses that you don't already know. ... 18. you can't have it both ways if you believe in personal responsibility for one's choices, then you also have to treat this specific procedure the same way. 1 - it's a medical procedure, the patient makes the final decision, no exception 2 - minors - parental consent absolute, to bypass that requires a special process. until adulthood, the parent is responsible 3 - medical procedure is paid for by the patient, not government funded, nor forced on others via law that requires it in the insurance - that should be a private contract between customer and insurance company also, choosing or not choosing to abort means also you pay for it, or arrange insurance that covers it. simple really - individualism and self determination drives a position that any choice that involves two people should be defined as if they both voluntarily agree to sign a contract to that affect. right now, we don't have that - one side wants to force women to give up a right to a medical procedure - the other side wants to force taxpayers to pay for it, or other insurance holders to subsidize it we are so far away from true advocacy of any kind of personal choice..... ... 19. ANY radio show that degrades to on line prayer I have an easy answer - I switch stations. I may come back, or I may not. I also do the same if someone gets fanatical and insulting, I do the same if a commercial has little children voices trying to be cute I do the same if someone starts singing, or if a commercial has a dorky repeating singing content again, if I was an advertiser, I know for sure I'd request to be played BEFORE any of this annoying crap - the last thing I want is spend my advertising dollar for a slot located when people are switching away ... 20. Except that "off duty" cops are still cops. They still have a badge and a gun. 24. Taxes: delete subsidies delete penalties no incentives no social manipulation tax code is flat for everyone - with no incentives or social manipulation involved, no exemptions, no cut offs, everyone the same flat rate Budgetting: all taxes, tolls, fees, etc etc etc go to a common use income pool all expenses are forced prioritized top to bottom and funded top to bottom until the common pool is used up - anything not funded is cancelled as not important enough Social: Minimize all government interference - people can do what they choose to do with each other and to themselves in any way they desire unless it forces someone else to serve them involuntarily (simply put, interactions between separate parties should be such that it could be a contract that each person would be willing to sign - if not, then clearly one of them is trying to force the other to do something against their will - if it doesn't pass that litmus test, then one of the crossed the line) only one exception,,, socks: build only one size, if it doesn't fit, then the individual is responsible to either drink shakes or remove toes until the sock does fit. ...
