I don't "need" booties. I want booties. See earlier comment about right tools for the job. I can close on a student faster and easier with them. If you feel the most competent with booties, then absolutely you should have them. In short - if you pick any builder and go with a "normal" full sized bootie (no gimmicks like vents or afterburners, just the simple blade from knee to toe, etc), and if they are fitted correctly and you take care of your suit, you'll find they do the job much better than wearing (used, or old, or worn suits) and your current experience with those. If you buy from a local, you might get a better delivery and followup service too. Bootie pants are a decent option, btw. A correct fit is a big deal.
