of course, the schools are a great example of the perfect socialism desired by the left you have the leaders (board) in total control you have the masses (children) with no rights and pretty much enslaved to the will of the leaders without the ability to make any decisions for themselves you have the workers (teachers) who happily have zero responsibility and carry out like robots the exact will of the leaders with no personal discretion. pretty much enslaved to the will of the leaders and finally - you have the blind, entitled elite class that simply turns a blind eye to the injustice and tell the 'masses' that it's their lot in life for electing the leaders and they should continue to bend over and accept it - for the good of the children it's so exciting ... I don't recall any of the usual crowd here being in favor the 2008 stimulus. Most were complaining about how it would likely net-net as a loss for most everyone. The rest highlighted how it wasn't a stimulus, or a rebate, just a sneaky redistrubtion scheme. and we cashed ours, why wouldn't we. Thanks for the $$$, Kallend. Though it would have been a lot cheaper for you to have just sent me $1500 directly instead of the government taxing you $2000+ just so I get $1500 and the administration squanders the extra so it ends up in some offshore account for the Kennedy's or Obama's or Bush's. Of course, I'm sure the $2000+ extra I got taxed (or my daughter in a couple decades) was also worth it so someone else here could also get $1500. ... Of course, I suspect you are a parent first in the relationship, not your kid's buddy that expect the village to raise you child for you. I'm constantly amazed at the slack I see in my daughter's friends' families. Sad part of it is, it seems when these other girls see us being stern and loving to our daughter instead of just neglectful - they look a little jealous (even though on the surface they have it 'easier'). ... I think that's cool, even more moons ago, that would have just been whichever teacher you connected with the best. No special positions needed to be hired for that role. you say that like it's in conflict with my post.... read mine again - ALWAYS tell the parents everything - a teacher that keeps anything to themselves is usurping the parent's required responsibility. A kid plays with a butterfly knife in school and keeps it in his pocket? 1 - a long time ago the teacher would know the kid and if it's a 'real' issue - "you, keep that in your pocket or I'll take it away" - later, call the parent and ask them if they know junior has knives at school. done 2 - today - call the cops, obsess over the child and maybe call social services, judge the parents, but don't talk to them, get counselors involved, obsess that if you don't do something and the kid knifes another kid you could lose your job, still don't call the parents, expel the kid, counsel the kids friends, show Obama video about disarming the world, have all the kids write essays on why guns are evil and the US is bad, still don't call the kid's parents,...... ... Most basic question ever! Female jumpsuit suggestions?

well the poster hasn't told us which type of flying she wants to do now but, while I like my wife's suits best - I think Bev's female cut suits are about the best out there for a 'bigger' manufacturer ... Most basic question ever! Female jumpsuit suggestions?
rehmwa replied to quesera's topic in Gear and Rigging
This is really bad advice. The fit is more important than ever for an inexperienced free flyer. up to a point, but if it's comfortable and not loose, I don't see the issue - if it's a super crappy fit, I totally agree with you - hopefully a new buyer isn't that clueless. (I've had 3 different FF suit fits - and generally, the more form fitting (torso especially) the better I fly my body - also, if the drag is brought to the extremities - using layers, not volume - I have bettter control and responsiveness - key is to get a suit that you fly rather than a suit that flies you - this ABSOLUTELY can be found used if one is persistent) but compared to RW where the fit of the booties and torso is absolutely essential, I'll prioritize accordingly (and this usually is VERY rare to find used) ... better, but still nuts - still overkill ONE teacher could have seen the pocket knife, gone over to the kid and confiscated it until the end of the day (or just told the kid to put it away and not bring it back again). Then same teacher could just call the parents and let them know what's up so they can followup with their kid. No 'explanation' to the kid needed other than that's the rule. That's for the parents to decide how much to tell the kid vs just emphasizing their authority in the matter. I don't know what it means for the "the school" to talk to a parent - some creepy possessed talking building? Or how a 'counselor' adds to the discussion. Counselors used to be people that helped kids pick colleges and work through application processes for higher education. Not a bunch of sociologist/psychs - the teachers used to be allowed to handle that stuff. cripes - we could bring pocket knives in and did all the time. Same with guns during hunting season (though the guns were locked up in the office all day and not allowed as eating utensils........) We tie the hands of the teachers so bad that all that is left is mostly the fanatical political moonbats that'll put up with it. Any teacher that wants to be empowered to do a good job is just scared off by the impotency of the job. ... idiotic - by your logic, the gov could decide to take 100% of the income from you and turn around and give you a $20 bill and, of course, you'd be grateful to get the $20 since, once they took your 100%, that money belongs to the government In fact, they could just focus on college professors for the 100% tax rate and tax everyone else 5% and you'd still accept it as right and decent and take that $20 and smile happily. (And, yes, I know this is the perfect scenario (100% income tax with poverty handouts) for many here on this board) ... that's a great business decision to apply to applicants that are adults really makes little sense for babies though.... Why is that?? because babies float into and out of the percentages quite a bit (see, they are very small), so that's not a good predicter of total med cost (you weren't expecting a biz answer, were you?) ... Pretty quiet so far. Not even talk about tthe draw - I'll start: can't wait to see round 6 (A-N-H-P-O) of course, in and out of the N might be a pain, but not for the great teams, it should be a burner R4 (G-Q-L-8) - I wonder if there will be any creative engineering on the Q to make it crispier - or which L will be picked to minimize the OC's moves R5 (B-17-21) - is this a point burner? It looks super fast to me. One could play with a turned B to shorten the random moves in and out, but that would mess with my head. ... again, the winner response call the dealer directly, stop asking people on forums when you can go straight the source or, you can go ahead and measure yourself, and 'guess' what the measurement instructions mean, my wife is a suitmaker, and it's a great piece of business she gets from resizing suits from other manufacturers when they get them build wrong (due to the buyer screwing it up as well as just errors) - spending cash for me it's amazing how detailed you can describe the measurements and people still will find a way there's also no way to know if that tape measure has shrunk or stretch relative to the tailor that will build your suit....only way to avoid that is to have the person measuring you be the same person that builds the suit ...
