  1. these guys keep saying it won't cost us anything apparently, the new system will be paid for by the people of (insert country here) - or the medical field is just going to stop charging for everything???? ... 2. you can call the tunnel and see if there is any organized camps coming on the schedule and maybe you can join one - or Chromy can usually arrange a tunnel camp for anyone and he's a great coach and the tunnel can help you find him - the tunnel has some excellent coaches too - you have some of the top skydivers in the world in the florida DZs - call them and ask for a good coach and if anyone is doing a mantis camp, they'll know people - etc, etc etc - maybe Kurt Gaebel (skyleague.com) knows of teams coming down for camps...Ron (here) is a great coach, heck I've taught the camp about 8 times now and I'm only a 'fair' diver. the key is the 1 on 1 attention and someone that'll correct you early so you don't develop bad habits. do your homework - start with the tunnel and ask about pros for hire and organized mantis camps. Of course, they'll start with their own coaches (plenty good enough for a 1st camp, and depending on the coach, plenty good enough for any followup camps too - but hire the coach for you, don't expect the tunnel attendant to do double duty and still give you the camp you need). you won't have any issues maybe the tunnel classifieds have some people looking for someone to join a good mantis camp too there.....lots of options, much better than soliciting DZ.com good luck, it's a great learning experience IMO I REALLY like a 4 student/2 coach lineup. You get to buy the whole hour (6 hours - 4 students at 90 minutes each - all non-consecutive over 2 days), and you learn extra by watching the others, and you eventually start sharing time by the end of the camp. And the coach gets a good workout too ... Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants
  3. A good Airspeed curriculum camp is warranted. 90 minutes with a hired 1 on 1 coach. that'll get you started pretty nicely ... Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants

  5. Nope, not what I said. Which you're evading. Which I stand by. actually, it is and you are just wriggling because you got called out on it - but if making statements like that make you feel are warm and smug inside, go for it - but own it if that's what you truly believe. ... 6. I think he is refering to the A--hole who let the air out of the tires on the ...golf cart above edited to make a totally different point isn't it great? person A is racing his go cart through the campground at 4 am being a dick and playing music really loud is "that guy" to all the campers but, if person B let's all the air out of person A's go cart, then person B is "that guy" to person A - but a hero to all the campers .....person A needs to realize he's actually "that guy" rather than "wooohooooo!!!! it's a boogie" but, person A pretty much acts like that every weekend anyway ... 7. I think it means no provider can restrict content to their customers but....I wonder how long it would take for an administration to change that definition to something they'd define as "fair" (and no, Dems or Reps, when either are in excess power, both scare me on that account) ... 8. MSNBC is clearly racist the article should have read as follows: Police in Philadelphia say an officer who came to work with cornrows was ordered by a superior to get a haircut because the braids violated department standards. The Philadelphia Daily News reported Monday that Officer Thomas Strain was put on desk duty this month because of the braids, even though the paper reported dozens of other officers wear cornrows. ... 11. certainly a cohesive and non-emotive argument, without arrogance or self-righteousness or judgement - designed to appeal and convince rather than name call - the use of facts and trends is particularly compelling either that, or cut and paste from a typical religious zealots arguments on the existence of deity either way - it's cool ... 13. Print media is dying... Why keep it on life support with tax payer funds? +1. Another example of interfering with capitalism. But at what expense? Do you really think we're better off if corporate media will further dominate news sources? yes - you're a prime example of a segment of the market that wants what they define as "Fair" reporting - with 300M people, there are likely enough of you to warrant servicing that demand along with everyone else that has insubstantial yet slightly different definitions of "Fair" reporting....etc Edit: if the governments stop paying for NPR, I'm sure there are enough brain numb people that enjoy being asked for donations every 15 minutes to support bland commentators that smugly push a specific political platform on a nauseatingly predictable basis someone will step into that market ... 14. sure - you go and get a physical - you pay $1500 for it the next guy in line gets the exact same service and pays $123 - but then gets a local credit from the state (from your taxes also) so the final cost is $20, then he doesn't pay the bill anyway and the doctor eats it. Next time you get a physical your cost is now $1520 sounds "fair" would you like a sliding scale at the grocery store too? how about buying a car or house? wait a sec, we tried both, it was such a success let's just all go shopping and keep a copy of our tax returns for the clerks to 'calculate' our tabs ... 18. This is getting closer to what I'vew been advocating for almost 30 years. Vote out ALL incumbents. Let them know if they do not stop with the insipid partisan bickering and use good old common sense and American ingenuity to make some serious progress; the same will happen the next election. This effectively amounts to firing people for not getting the job done. Why would that be a bad thing? sweet - back to the original intent - no 'lifetime/career' politicians, we need people voted in that are great at what they do in real life and they reluctantly serve a term or two because they are cajoled into it take away the perks and make the pay just equivalent to whatever their current jobs are and let's see who really "loves to serve the people" ... 19. wow, just wow - Marc is politically opinionated, but it seems that the balance sheet on what he gets vs what he serves up is hugely tilted. If he gave what he got in proportion to just 1 of his personal detractors here (there's about 8), he'd be in Amazon's league. Hell Bill, it's clear you've been trying lately to be balanced on all topics, but when it comes to Rushmc's posts you don't even try ... Maybe I read about it before, but because I consider sexual preference to be about as important as eye color, I don't remember, because I just didn't care.
