  8. I continue to hear people with Pulse's saying how smooth and easy and consistent the openings are. My wife broke her neck a couple years ago. So after recovery, she immediately switched to a Pulse (PD's recommendation and several others) and a semi-stowless bag and for the entire season so far it's smooth, soft, and clean (not necessarily slow openings, just very consistent and smooth). FWIW ... Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants
  9. that really sucks - so I guess with Romney calling them leeches and Obama trying to keep them from voting - they are likely the most oppressed class in our society ... 11. agreed and glad you feel that way this lady is another reason why so many people have this stereotype of (do whatever it takes to push the agenda) liberals if, I do, you consider her an outlier and not representative of a typical liberal, then why on earth do reasonable people on the left do the same with the fringies on the right? ... 12. = big bucks for a rigger willing to unfairly exploit any 'approval' rule I never though rigging was a way to make big money......unless you're crooked (standardized requirements are a big win here to keep people from abusing rules like those for income - or to keep excessively conservative types from running roughshod over customers/the converse is true also - keeps riggers that are too loose from being flippant about real safety condition.) (question for the master riggers - If the evaluator has to step back and say "well, the pilot is only 100 pounds" are they already on the wrong side of the discussion if that has any input to their assessment?) (i.e., for weights that aren't above the max loading limits of course - if the wing is good to 200 pounds, then why should the fact that the pilot is 100 pounds vs 190 pounds matter??) ... 13. other than on university computers to the internet, you mean I'm sure Prof Sweet was also under a similar instruction. I'm sure she's the ONLY one in all of academia pulling this crap..... As much as I'm also sure that for every prof forcing left wing philosophy on her students there's a prof doing for the right too.......................... ... 14. see, now that's an entirely different metric than the original claim of just net numbers perhaps if you charted the rate at which Beck's membership has grown over the last 5? 10? years and fit and asymptotic estimate to the limit indicated on the chart (simple math fits can be found on the internet, or "intrawebs" as it is called). Then compared that limit to the constant CNN number - one could estimate the date at which the original claim is true. or fit asymtotes to both trends and see if they ever cross I'd also suggest aligning that with key dates from the Aztec calendar - just a hunch...... seems any nerd patrol member would be happy to do that also ... 17. I'd call them anyway. I doubt the instructors are 'encouraging' the newbs. But I do bet the newbs are either lying about it. Or taking their instructor comments WAY out of context. the DZO/Rigger/AFFI deserve to know how their name and reputation is being hijacked ... 18. that's your option, of course - and even you acknowledge one restriction (18+) so now it's just a discussion on where to draw the line then.... but I still appreciate p-g-rose's approach anyway: her stuff - her sales criteria ... 21. a straight flat tax with no loopholes, credits, exemptions, deductions, etc.... that would do a LOT to clearing away the free ride that the poor and the rich are taking on the backs of the middle class. It's never the ends vs each other, no matter how the politicians want to sell it - it's always been the ends vs the middle. It's nefarious, because the arguments distract us from the reality while our pockets are getting picked. ... I hold the vidiot responsible for his action - making an inflammatory video I hold the mob responsible for the violence and murder - that's their actions I refuse to excuse the mob for their actions by laying it on the vidiot the individuals of that mob are clearly not a part of 'humanity' as we know it ... 25. this guy didn't make the video - but the assholes just take it out on anyone and everyone based on stupid and loose and insubstantial connections and if they even had done it to the first guy only, it would still be idiotic and savage and childish the idiocy and superstition is absolutely amazing ...
