Isn't the docking station just needed in order to watch the video on say a tv? So if one is not included that means you can plug the cables directly from the camera to the tv right?

Thanks. Guess I didn't search hard enough. Does the hc40 have a docking station or is it not needed? The accessories listed did not include one.

I've been looking at buying a sony camera and it seems the HC 36 is this years model replacing the 32? The stores are still carrying the 32s and not yet the 36 but from looking online at Bestbuy.com the 36 is about $100 less than the 32 is in the store. I've been trying to find the exact differences between the two. But Sony.com doesn't list the 36 on their website yet. So what is going on? The only diference I can really see if the 36 has a color viewfinder. (I'm not a techie) What is the difference between the two and why is a supposedly new model cheaper than the exsisting one?

So where's the nearest dz, preferrably bigger than a 182 dz since that's what I jump at home.

If you had to pick one of the three places to spend a week and your only concern was jumping, where would you go? I'm taking a trip for work next month and pretty much get to pick between these places. Which is closest to a dz that'll be open and jumpable?

That's what I needed thanks. Although I couldn't figure out the imgburn so I downloaded dvd shrink instead and it was much easier. Now I just need to get a dvd burner.

Alright so how do I download/copy a dvd to my computer? I have windows movie maker on here that I tried to use to import the video. It recognizes a video in the drive but when I select it nothing is there so I can't copy anything. I don't have a dvd burner, just a reader, I'd just like to copy the video to my computer. Is there a way to do this?

Sheez what are you whining about?! 12.5K? For a lot of us 10k in a cessna is normal. Count yourself lucky you get to jump at turbine dz anytime you want.

Do you know much about the HC32 vs the 42? I heard that with the 42 you have to used a docking station in order to play back video to your tv. But with the 32 you can play directly to the tv. Still polishing my technical terms so I couldn't tell the difference looking at the specs. They say they both come with a docking station with the av input/output on the docking station. What does this mean?

I'm looking to buy this and a wide angle lense. What do you think of a package like this? Or would it be cheaper to buy the camera and lense seperately? I've been there a couple times. It's a small one 182 dz. Very welcoming people. Made me feel like family the first time there. It's not a jumpaholics place but rather relaxed. Get a couple jumps during the day, sit around and talk, have a couple beers, and I've heard they do a lot of potlucks too. They even have a heated training room/ and full kitchen with bathroom and shower. Nice place to crash and still get a shower in the morning -

Update: I called Born today and they are going to send me a free pair of shoes of my choice since they don't make then ones I have anymore. Very nice!

Maybe I'm not shopping in the 'right' places then. I tend to stay away from shoes more than $60 to $80 a pair. These were actually the most expensive shoes I've think I've ever gotten so I expected a little more.

I hope so. Tried calling their customer service number today but they're closed so I'm going to try on Monday. But I dont' keep receipts that long so I hope they don't require one.
