  1. The King Air A100 has a longer fuselage than the King Air C90 (on the A100, you may notice two more windows, before the door, and also, the KA A100 has 4 blade engines instead of the 3 bladed engines on the C90). I'm not sure if Mike Mullins's King Air C90, has 4 bladed engines, though? Does anyone know? Yves.
  2. Do you know why they got rid of the Otter? Nice King Air C90 ! Yves.
  3. Our King Air carries 17 jumpers + 1 pilot. Yves.
  4. Been there, done that! Welcome to the sport. Have fun, and stay safe. Yves.
  5. We are very fortunate to have 3 or 4 balloons that come to our DZ, on a regular basis. (Almost daily) Also. the city nearby our DZ (3 miles), host a yearly balloon gathering event (about 30 of them, for about a week ) Yves.
  6. Of course! I know what you mean. Our Twin Bonanza has been a wonderful jumpship at our DZ, for many years. I did my first freefall out of the Twin Bo.
  7. Ooops! I forgot to include 4 aircrafts in the poll. 1: the Beechcraft Twin Bonanza. This was our jump plane, prior to the delivery of our King Air. 2: The PAC 750XL (this is a newcomer in skydiving, and looks like a Caravan) 3: the Cessna C-206 4: Britten Norman Islander Yves.
  8. Hello; I was just wondering what kind of airplanes you have at your DZ, for skydiving operations. I'm posting a picture of our King Air A100, when it was delivered in february 2003, just before it was converted for skydiving operations. Feel free to post pics of your favorite bird! Yves.
  9. I've always liked Twin Otters. Big door, low windblast on exit. The perfect skydiving plane IMHO. If only I could win the lottery........ I would buy my own. Here's a picture I took of my favorite bird.
  10. On this topic, I may add that music CD's are now obsolete........... The first CD's were released in the early 80's........... 20+ years ago......... Yves.
  11. I dunno if it's the same in the U.S, but Universal just announced a drastic price cut on most Universal CD's sold in Canada (up to 25%). Will this be a lasting trend? Will other distributors follow this trend too? Let's hope so. They finally figured out, that peer-to-peer music exchange is here to stay, and there's nothing they can do to stop this. Even with the announced price cut, it still may be too late for them. Too little....too late. btw. I hope they lower the price of DVD's too! Yves.

    Finally...

Cool! Keep an eye on it! Yves.
  13. I went to the last presentation of the IMAX movie "Adrenaline Rush, The Science of Risk", that was held 09-12-2003 at the Quebec city IMAX theater. The movie ran for 7 months at the Quebec city theater. Carl Samson, the producer of the movie, was there for the occasion, along with 4 of the many skydivers that participated in the filming of the movie. I managed to speak with Carl a few minutes, and asked him a few questions about how the movie was doing, worldwide. He said that the movie has been a huge success so far, everywhere it's been presented. Carl also told us, that the movie will be featured in at least 35 more IMAX theater through out the United States in 2004. The DVD version of the movie is expected to hit the stores 12/2003 . So be patient! It's coming! In the meantime, if you want to know more about the movie, feel free to visit their website: http://www.shemovie.com btw: Don't wait for the DVD to be released. The IMAX version is just amazing. Yves.
  14. Absolutely...moreover, you pay that kind of money for 1 or 2 GOOD songs in the CD but you CAN'T get a refund, RIAA CAN KISS MY ASS!!! In the pas, I've bought CD's with only 1 good song out of 15. And you can't return a CD, once you've torn the wrapping. Yves.
  15. This game is a no win for the RIAA. In my mind, I just can't see how they're gonna win something, by sueing people like they do now. A $20.00 CD is a rip-off IMHO, given the fact that manufacturing cost is much lower now, and also because the artist never get their share of the proceeds. Yves.

    Which pic?

    I'd say 8 too. Yves.
  17. Maybe you could do a 2 for 1, and clean my apartment as well? Just kidding !
  18. btw: You gotta go when it's not raining and windy! Hope you do that solo on saturday. Blues. Yves.
  19. Thanks! But before I ScotchGuard my rig, I'd like to be sure. I surely dont want to ruin my brand new rig. Also, the "airworthy" rules seem to be somewhat different, from a rigger to another. For instance, I may be able to find a rigger who would repack my reserve, and, 6 months later, another rigger would refuse to repack my reserve, because of the ScotchGuard. If you have more information about this, feel free to post it. Thanks again.
  20. This thread becomes very interesting! It would be cool to have the opinion of a rig manufacturer on this topic. Yves.
  21. Thanks! That's exactly what I was thinking. I have one question though: Can I just Scotchguard my container with both canopies packed, or should I remove them prior to doing it? Yves.
