  1. The problem with beer, is not the beer itself... It's when we run out of it. Yves.
  2. Then I guess you'll spend more time on DZ.com, just like me. I know how you feel. I'm still waiting for my new container to arrive. 15 weeks, and counting.... It should arrive early next week i'm told. Yves.

    Dying

My grandmother on my mom's side died in 1990, at the age of 90. She had never been to an hospital in her whole life, and had never been ill before. When we visited her one day, she complained she had trouble digesting food. My grandmother was of the optimistic kind of a person, so she told us that this "would pass"... It got worse.... and then she had to be hospitalized. They discovered a stomach/intestinal cancer, which basically blocked all passage of food through her stomach/intestines. She died less than a week after she's been hospitalized. My grandfather always had a poor health during his life, and had to undergo numerous surgeries. He had been cared for by my grandmother for a long time. He survived my grandmother, but died, less than 2 weeks after her. Yves.

  12. I still have one of these Compaq somewhere in my basement. They were awfully slow, but very practical at the time. Yves.
  13. I know a Canadian tandem master who went to Australia a couple years ago, and did tandems there. Yves.
  14. Ditto here! I'll send my canopy back to PD when the season's over. I'm sure they're gonna figure out what the problem is. Line trim on a brand new canopy, should be perfect. This makes me wondering about possible canopy QC problems. In flight, this canopy brings nothing but smile to my face. I just love it! And the landings a great too. Yves.
  15. As skydivers, do we really have a normal life? Yves.
  16. I know it's a little off topic, but.... just couldn't resist. Anyone ever tried a good ole Taylor Fladgate 10 years Port wine? Simply delicious! Just ask Jacques, who jumps at Lake Wales. I'm sure he remembers Well.... after all, i'm not sure he remembers Yves.
  17. Hello Michael; Believe me, i know how you feel. Here's my own little miracle. 6 years ago, I was going through the same problems as you're having now. Neck pain, back pain, my knees hurt, etc. I was litteraly eating anti-inflammatory drugs and multiple pain relievers at breakfast, lunch, dinner, and before I go to bed, etc. I was living in HELL!. I was 35 years old at the time, and felt more like 85. At times, I was so in pain, that I just could not get off my bed, like any normal human being would. I litterally had to roll myself in my bed, then put my hands on the floor, then TRY to get off my bed on to the floor, then get on my knees, and then try to get on my feet. I was walking like a crippled bear..... My spine was "S" shaped......... I knew my chiropractor more than my work colleagues. I said to myself, if this is life, then it's just not worth living............ Then I said to myself, geez, I'm just 35. My life's not over. I MUST do something! I started biking (bicycle). It was awfully painful at first, but I kept biking, and biking, and biking, and biking............... Then I started walking!
  18. Naaaaa! None of the above. My personal vote goes to the Frankenotter.......before they repainted it. Yves.
