It isn't if they ary gay or not. When you heteros go out, of course you are all hitting on the girls because nature has told you that is what you are supposed to do. What I am saying is that not everyone is interested in the same things, and I have problems making "new friends" at the DZ, because for some reason, homosexuality is frowned upon at DZs. If there were a couple of other people at my DZ that would stand up and come out of the closet, it would make socializing at the DZ that much more fun for me, just like you heteros go out with the hot chicks after the day of jumping is over....

Whatever, you don't know what it's like. I need to know these things, and I can't just walk up to everyone at the DZ and ask them if they are gay also... This poll will help me figure out if this is the sport for me...

Two skydivers were walking to the DZ from the parking lot. One says to the other, "hey, thats a nice rig you got there." Other says, "thanks, I got it for my wife" First guy says "Nice trade"

TRV's are large and bulky. As far as jumping with a camera, I have seen 99% of people jumping the PC series and only 1% jumping the TRV series. I never said TRV's are for beginners, but they really arent skydive friendly due to their size. I wouldnt waste your money on a large camera, when the smaller one can do the same job. Remember, the still feature on a camcorder doesnt come into play when your filming a jump. With that in mind, it really doesnt matter if the newer TRV's have a higher resolution on stills. The PC120 has 1.5 stills if that is really an option that you are looking for. What do you mean by "brain"?

My neighbor taught me about the birds and the bees. He had me come over after school sometimes and would give me candy if I would let him give me a bath. I thought that it was weird that he didn't want me to tell my parents or teachers though, I figured that they didn't know yet either. So I've known for a long time. EDIT: As entertaining as this post is, I didnt write it. Some hoser got my password somehow and was posting in my name. At least he was funny and not a prick.

Of these lenses that are being discussed, which have threads for filters? Im not referring to the camera, but the wide angle lens itself. Also, please excuse the ingorance, but how does the lens number correlate with how wide the angle is? Lower number, wider field, or vice versa. Thanks

Quade, Thanks. That is the kind of information that I am looking for. I also appreciate the way that you approach matters that are controversial, unlike some. I plan on taking all information that I recieve into consideration when I start flying camera. I am just glad that someone was able to actually put some information out there. Thanks.

Well, you have made the assumption that I was going to start trying to fly camera in the HD position when I am still learning HD. It is your fault for assuming such and not asking. I do plan on starting camera in the sit, but that is not why I think that his response was inappropriate. If you read my reply again, because you seem to have completely missed the point, you will see that it is his Sky-God attitude that if I have to ask, I shouldn't even be considering flying camera. That kind of reasoning is assinine, and if is that is how he truely thinks, I could care less on what he has to say, or anyone that thinks like that for that matter. Like your mother said, if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all. Same applies here, if you are not contributing to the intention of the thread, why the hell post?

Huh, you wernt trying, but you were successful. Ya know, it really pisses me off by people like yourself that tell me I'm not ready by the mere fact that I asked what dangers are associated. So, I shouldn't have asked? I am supposed to know what I need to know about a disipline before I start, right? So what the hell is your problem with me educating myself prior to starting. As far as I am concerned, I am smart for asking seasoned photographers what I need to know about flying camera. I guess you knew all you needed to know prior to starting new disciplines without asking or educating yourself on something you have never attempted. Maybe your "witty" sig should say "I lack tact".

Ok, so I am going to start flying camera. Just got a PC-110 with a Hawkeye and Bonehead D-box. Cameye II to boot. I plan on just jumping with buddies to have fun, what I get on film is what I get. I freefly sit and working on HD, but suck at HD. My question is what are the hazards that I need to know about this discipline. You always see that people talk about how it adds to the inherent dangers of jumping. The only things that I can think of is lack of altitude awareness, I have a Pro-Dytter, and riser strikes. Also, I have friends that turn their head a little during deployment to lessen the chance of riser strikes. Good idea or not? Help me out here guys, I am going to do this, but I want to start out with all safety in mind.

[reply My favourites are "Base Forever" and "Castles in the Sky". That clip has got to be one of the best I have ever seen. It make the hair stand on my neck every time I watch it. I get all heeby geeby inside. I think I will go watch it now and go to bed to dream. -

I am about to embark on the same task, on the same helmet. I dont plan on using a blow tube as I am flying video. Any suggestions that are cleaner than gaffers tape ( which I plan to use if I cant find a better way). Thanks
