Weenie, yeah, at the very least. But anyways.... Why the rubber and plastic gloves work so well is that wearing that accompanied with normal gloves creates a vapor barrier. If you can find some gloves that have a vapor barrier sewn right in, such as firefighter gloves, you will be fine. Though I dont reccomend ff gloves since they are very bulky for heat, but just an example. Some skiing gloves use vapor barriers. A runners windbreaker works well as the last layer to block all air, again vapor barrier. Try some of these you puss....

I agree Peter. Anyone who owns any car with a spoiler like any of those, outside full drag/race cars, is a complete idiot. I have many guns and a big firesafe to store them in. Guns and hunting has always been in my life since as far as I can remember. Hunting is one of my first loves and I still hunt regularly, though I hunt big game with a bow now. I believe that all states should allow the right to carry a concealed weapon such as my state. Yes I do have a permit and I carry on occasion. Its a very liberating feeling to be able to carry a loaded handgun with me, but its also terrifying to think what would happen if I actually had to use it. Anyone that thinks that America should ban all guns and abolish the 2nd amendment should have the constitutional right to life and liberty taken from them.

Ok, a question for all guys that live with a g/f or wife. What the hell is with the toilet seat rule? Why does this only apply to us as guys? For fucks sake, we have to lift the godamn thing everytime we want to take a pee, so what is the big deal for them to have to put it down? Basically, we are expected to not only lift but to put down as well. As compared to them having to do NOTHING! For that matter, maybe we should start complaining that we always have to lift the seat in order to take a pee, and that it should always be left in the "up" position. Dont even get me started on the toothpaste cap, and how is it possible for one person to get that much paste all gooed up at the tip to the point of not even being able to see the threads?

Well, I didnt have the money either, so I decided to liquidate my assets that I havent touched for a minimun of 6 months. This is what I sold: Piece of crap boat $600.00 Scuba Diving Gear $700.00 Rem 700 Rifle $1100.00 Browning 12 Ga shotgun $250.00 SKS Assault rifle $350.00 1000 rounds of ammo $100.00 I eyeballed my dirt bike, but decided that my riding buddies would never forgive me. As you see, its easy to get what you need if you have got other shit that you dont. This afforded me a really nice Talon 2 DOM 1998 container with hip rings and hook knife (26 jumps) with an Cyprus that has 8 years left. Main is a Sabre 150 (1998) with 400+ jumps that had been relined 5 jumps prior to my ownership. Reserve is a Raven 181 (1998) that has never been aired out, it looks really nice and new with waxy white lines. All this cost me $2400 smackers, and that is a great deal. All I had to do was be patient with my search until something came up that I wanted and could afford. The rest of the money was for coach jumps towards my A and B cert. Here are some pics of my baby. My wife tells me that I cherish my rig more than our son. :) I just cant wait till I can jump with him. Heck theres a pic of him too for measures sake.

No, I think it irritated me that he said it was adolecent to party after a good day of skydiving. I dont like when people judge others when they dissagree with the actions of others. Yes, my tolerance does extend farther than his, but I am not going to avoid others merely because of their actions and then put myself on a pedestal. I've got to say, I dont much care for the "Holier than thou" attitude. If you truly cannot control yourself when other people drink, the I guess you should leave. You are either too old for such activities, or just dont fit in with the younger crowd. You call those that do party and have a good time as "counter productive and adolescent". Are you better than them in some way, cause that sure is how I percieved your statement. Yes, people get loose and have a good time when they drink, isnt that the point in the first place? If you jump under the influence, you can apply the following : natural selection : Partying at the END of the day is what we are talking about here. Partying DURING the day as you have somehow justified in this topic as to say that if you party at the end of the day, you do as well during your jump day. Offending sir, plain and simple. Don't get me wrong, if you do anything more than booze and a little weed, I think that you are a fucking fool, but lets keep it relative. If you do more drugs than that, you do need to reavaluate your life, but not all, or even the smallest percentage fall into that catagory. Hey, I'm glad you are recovering, thats a huge step. The next step is to accept others for who they are and not to judge them harshly as you have done here, as you were one of them yourself. If you cant hang out with your friends when they drink, and I'm assuming you have friends at the DZ that like to party, then you might not be as far on that road as you think. scdean, Did the person that was in control of the ballon say they will pay for the repair on your canopy? I understand that you think that it is your fault, BUT, in the end, they are the ones that should be looking out for skydivers that are in final to the area that the ballons are to be dropped in. I understand that the sky diver is responsible for him/herself as far as safety is concerned, but should that really apply in the case of purposefully tossed missiles from 500 feet? I might be blowing smoke, but if this was my rig, I personally would like to have a chat with the person(s) involed in the damage to my rig. That would really piss me off. Tear canopy on fence - me, tear canopy on tree - me, tear canopy by landing too close to another skydiver on final - me, trash canopy by the falling of an object that was thrown from above, which has the optimum vantage point over all those involved - THEM. Am I off base here?
