Being a 70 jump wonder, its my opinion that you don't have nearly the experience to realize the gravity of your statements. Heh, don't ya love the fact that some of the posts that make the most sense are most likely to be ignored. People dont like your kind of thinking around here Fallrate. All sports related aircraft will be affected since their purpose is inherently irresponsible from an enviromental standpoint. Come on people!!!! Lets make the world a better place! Let it start with no more skydiving!!!!. P.S. After I am done taking care of the lawn and yard with 2-stroke equipment, I think I will overfertilize the lawn with 30-30-30 something. This evening as I sit around the campfire I built with treated lumber and roofing scraps, I will reflect on the day with a sense of pride that I didn't go jumping and for that, I have made my personal contibution to being enviromentally aware.

The computer that we I usually use to write reports was busted, so I used the receptionists because she was on vacation. I wrote my report and checked out a couple of post after. Next week, I get called into my A.C. office, and he tells me no more going on Dropzone.com. As it turns out, that cunt of a secretary looked in her history and complained that someone was using "her" computer, therefore my A.C. discovering a familiar I.P. address he was wondering about that came up in some report. It really irks me when some stupid no talent bitch thinks she owns the computer that was placed in front of her, so shes got to fuck that person. Oh well, fixed that problem. I use remote connection from Xp to log on to my computer at home and I can do anything I godamn want.

I recently bought a Safire2 149. Before I recived it, I had been jumping a Safire2 149 demo that opened like a dream. Some 600-700 foot openings that were so soft, it was like a dream. It had spectra lines. I recieved my brand new Safire2 149 2 weeks ago, and they fucked up the order and put Vectran lines on it. At least 1 of every 4 jumps the canopy beats the shit out of me on opening. Slammers, 90 and 180 degree off headings, and line twists so bad one time, my head was pinned. So I am thinking to myself, what the fuck is with this? Do Vectran lines affect openings? Will the canopy calm down after the lines and stitching is set in? There is only 20 jumps on the new one because I put my demo back in after dreading my openings too much when I am supposed to being enjoing my ride. Oh yeah, it was packed 3 different ways by 2 different people and still the same issues. Psycho packing, like the factory reccommends, was the worst on openings. Real slammers with that style. Could this also have something to do with the factory brake line settings being wrong? Edit to add: Wingload of 1.3

Hey all. I am currently at the crossroads for buying a new canopy. I have 167 jumps and have been flying a 150 for over 100 jumps. I weigh 165 before gear and currenly jump a Icarus Safire2 149. I have about 50 jumps on that canopy and I have had it for about 2 weeks now. I currenly wingload at 1.3. Now that all those details are out of the way. Let me tell you that I love being a canopy pilot. Its the next best thing to freeflying. I usually jump at sea level, but I was in Lost Prairie last week and I put 30 jumps on it. Every landing was a stand up landing, needless to say, and I found myself getting some decent swoops out of 90 degree hooks after a couple of days. That trip was really the deciding factor on wether I was going to stay with a 149, or go to a 139. If I had no problems there, I was leaning towards the 139. Now, the big question in my mind. Do I have enough experience to consider an elliptical such as the Icarus Crossfire, or a Stilletto? Of course I am optomistic about flying an elliptical at this time, but I have always been a more aggressive canopy pilot, as compared to most. But some people frown on such at my numbers. I know there is no magic number for ellipticals, but should I put all that money into a Safire when I will be ready for a more aggressive canopy not that far away? Are there other canopies out there that are not fully elliptical, but are more aggressive than the Safire2 or the Sabre2. How about a Cobalt? Ok, so the choices are: 1. Stay with the Safire2 149. 2. Go with a Safire2 139 and re-evaluate next season. 3. Consider an elliptical, but be sure to not be as aggressive for some time to come. Pardon the bombardment of questions, but I only have 2 weeks to tell Icarus that I do not want this canopy. HELP!
