In life you have to do one of three things, Lead, Follow or get out the way. A true leader knows when to assist and follow as well. I agree When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Good question Ron, me? Pioneer spirit and leader and quite frankly its very hard to live a life that is true to those qualities in todays's age in a modern western nation or in a corporate environment. You're either born with the spirit of a pioneer or you aren't, leaders on the either hand are made. That said some are better leaders than others with the same training. Mostly people today confuse being a manager with being a leader, I hear it all the time, people on management teams being described as leaders. Often they couldn't even get their own families to follow them let alone any one else. Russian legislators approve troop deployment in Ukraine

I think there was a mixture of truth and falsehoods required to achieve his goal of protecting Russia's interests in the region. I'm not saying that I agree with his methods but I do understand that he is doing what is best for his country. The media coverage we have been getting in the west however is very one sided and ignores genuine issues surrounding the Ukrainian crisis and genuine grievances and concerns that Russia has. Ultimately its a European problem... let them deal with it. They have been getting away with us protecting them for way too long. Our deficit is directly related to being the WORLD cop for way to long. Let the EU defend themselves, although we could probably be persueded to sell them a few goodies that are really good at blowing up Russian shit. Wrong this is a Russian problem, let them deal with it. Ukraine is not part of the EU it is part of the former USSR. Russia wants to protect its ethnic population in the Crimea while protecting its southern access to the Black sea and three major oil pipelines from a revolution in which the vanguard of which are anti Russian neo Nazis, I can't say I blame them. John Kerry's speech yesterday was a total joke, full of hypocrisy, blatant lies and naivety. Mostly aimed not at Russia but at the American people with string bullshit about fighting tyranny, yet no mention of banning Russian as a language throughout the Ukraine. I hope the American people don't suck that shit unthinkingly through the straw of the media. Mr Cameron should consider how to pay foreign debt. Quite right Nelly, France is looking good, not to far off, better weather good tourism decent brie. Maybe we should invade them. I shall suggest it to him over tea and scones this afternoon.Wow. Britain has a military base in French soil? I did not know. irony Not yet When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca -
Oh really? Did I say someone has to die. Typical liberal dribble. The authors of our Bill of Rights, never in their wildest dreams, imagined the United States putting out the welcome mat for Islamic extremists who would come here for just economic and physical security; never intending to assimilate as Americans. There's no way they could have envisioned the terror brought upon innocent American civilians nor the idea of using the same Bill of Rights to protect these "Soldiers of Allah" within the United States. Being a fan of Israel, I have come to understand that if Israel were to be annihilated, the United States would be the next prize for worldwide Islamic conquest. (no Jew ever attempted to bring down the World Trade Center nor specifically targets innocent civilians because they were taxpayers). Antipsychotic medications may reduce or eliminate symptoms of psychosis. They are not a ‘cure’ for mental illnesses, but can be an effective part of treatment. (However its important to take them regularly). When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Just like Bush with South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Basically there is nothing the US or its allies can do, just like there wasn't in 2008. Russia has a veto at the UN. It supplies most of Europe with its natural gas. It also has plenty of natural resources. So embargo won't fly, and we certainly aren't going to invade Russia. Not so Sir, I believe that our PM Mr Cameron has already raised an eyebrow at Mr Putin. Furthermore he is preparing to 'Tut' loudly at the UN (I hear he may even go as far as accompanied eye rolling). If that fails the USA and Uk combined will draw a line in the sand, and if Mr Putin has the temerity to cross it together we will be forced to draw another line in the sand. (Following which we will beg him not to cross it and if he does will he please not cut off our gas as we have sod all military left and no public appetite for any form of confrontation following a decade of vanity wars). Putin surely deserves a good sound "tut-tutting", but eye-rolling is likely to escalate the situation. Fair point, well made. I don't think the US has any moral basis to tell any country to stop interfering in any other country's affairs. Yeah I think the "Bush Doctrine" blew any moral ground we may once have had right off the planet. Yep! And the same goes for the UK sadly. I don't think there is a difference between the two. The Russians don't care. But okay. What's the President going to do to respond? Probably about the same as with Syria. Remember his "Red Line" or whatever empty threat he made? It's funny how many people are implying that the Ukrainians are fascists/Nazis because they sided with Germany against the Russians. So did the Norwegians. Russia has done a lot of "not nice" things to it's neighbors over the years. This whole thing happened because the general population wanted to be closer to the EU, but the president wanted closer association to (and a promised bailout from) Russia. Its not just their history, there are three main opposition groups in Ukraine all are either ultra nationalists or nazis. Well there you go... Millions more dead with the Commies and Nazi's fighting each other in Eastern Europe.. A brief history lesson on the millions of dead Ukrainians in the last century might be an instructive exercise. Think there is a prayer in hell of that ending well for Europe? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holodomor Oh and that does not even account for the losses of Ukranians in WWI where millions fought on the side of the Russians... and hundreds of thousands fought for the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Then we get to War II.. WWII where the Ukrainians colluded with the Nazi's, to the point where they were incorporated in to the SS after having murdered all the Jewish people in ways so barbaric that even the Einsatzgruppen were shocked. The USA should keep its nose out of this one. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca -

A moral case for not intervening can be made. The Ukrainian opposition are mainly comprised of armed Nazis and Fascists who are very hostile to the ethnic Russian population. I'm no fan of Putin but if he want to go and off some Nazis good luck to him. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Back in the 80s & 90s we were ordered not to wear uniform outside the barracks as the Irish terrorists would target us, while we're on the subject you forget to mention the series of IEDs sent to Army recruitment office throughout the UK the week before last. British soldiers are at threat from Terrorists of many persuasions, from the attacks to date mostly Irish. yes I do seeing as they said so. Also these idiots were no more AQ than any other psycho that goes out and kills for shit and giggles. Even the judge said they were not part of a wider network in his sentencing. I don't have an issue with the DP in certain circumstances, it gets handed out to often in many countries that have it and isn't a deterrent. Even if we had it in this country I would be against these two being given it as they wanted to die 'martyrs'. Let them rot for the rest of there lives in obscurity, thats the right call on this one.
