My e-mail to John. Having read your posting on the WFFC message board I can only say that its in the worst possible taste. It sucks big time to slate someone when you don't even know the facts. As the investigation is not yet concluded and reported how is it you feel able to attack a 'fellow' pilot? It is possible that the dead man was at fault, and even if he wasn't what good is your posting going to do. As a Skydiver I know the risks of my sport and I accept them as my own responsibility. Every time I go out of that door I am prepared to die for the love of and privlage of human flight. Everyone at the WFFC knows the risks and has accepted them. This is something that that pilot will have to live with for the rest of his life, Skydivers don't need you to tell them that low level high speed flying in helicopters is dangerous and we sure as hell don't need you attacking a pilot with a proven track record who does his best by us. Hey Wiskey, When I first started jumping I would be a bit anxious as well then one day one of the guys asked what it actualy was that I was worried about? You know when I actualy stopped and thought about it I couldn't really think of anything. Another Skydiver with quite a few jumps behind him told me that it wasn't until he had done about thirty skydives that he decided that he actualy liked jumping, now he loves it. It takes a while to get there for some people. Now when I Skydive the anxiety has changed to something else, a kind of excited anticipation which I use to help me focus on my dive and safety checks. Smile especialy when you feel nervous, it'll change your mood, breath slowly & think happy thoughts you'll see, you can fly!

Hey Jasmin, My nic's Lumberjack. The reason is when I did my level 7 AFF I had a very long spot from which no one made it back. I poped over a house went for a garden caught dead air, overshot and went into the woods behind the house smashing through the tree tops before coming to a stop in the top of the tree. The next thing I knew the tree gave way and snaped in two places bringing down another tree next to it. I landed in a clear meter square surounded by foilage and sharp wood which torn my canopy to bits. I walked away fine with only a small scar on my leg to show for it. My instructor said it looked like a light aircraft had gone in . When are you back in town Jasmin? Free at last gets back on monday from the WFFC. Did you hear he had a result with his FS1. Won a raffle at Hinton and turned nine points on a fourway with XL. £20 must be the cheapest FS1 in the history of Skydiving!! Last October I did my AFF in Sebastian since then I've been back twice more (I live in the UK.) Since then I've been to DZ's in four countries around the world and never have I found a warmer welcome. The staff are great, profesional and helpful always willing to give their time to listen and help. Sebastian is also home of quite a few world class skydivers both freeflyers and RW. The facilties are great and the social life is outstanding. Skydive Sebastian share aircraft with Crosskeys and the aircraft are well maintained. If you're thinking of doing AFF I can't recomendthis place enough, If you've got a D licence, I can't recomend this place enough. Can't wait to return!
