1. Its a world wide thing I reckon, people in the UK are getting fatter as well, and I've noticed that many forms ask for your cell phone number as do banks and so on. Whenever I say I don't have one people look at me like I'm from outerspace, LOL (almost am) When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. 4. After reading this article : http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&ncid=716&e=1&u=/ap/20020829/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/attacks_terror_network_13 I was left wondering if theres a witch hunt on in the US. As far as I can tell the evidence against these men mounts up to them having taken videos at Disney, being Muslims (although one has a very christian name) and belonging to an Islamic group alledgedly that has some vauge alledged conection with Bin Laden. As there is supposedly only six degrees of seperation between everyone on the planet that wouldn't be hard to claim. 'Ujaama's community work won him praise in his hometown. He once was given a key to the city of Seattle. And in Washington state, lawmakers declared June 10, 1994, James Ujaama Day.' A Terrorist???????????????????????????? 'Both indictments used a law barring people living in the United States from providing "material support and resources" to terrorist groups.' 'The evidence that is being developed suggests that America has been a piggy bank for certain terror organizations to the tune of tens of millions of dollars," said a senior law enforcement official directly involved in the investigation.' Does that mean the FBI will soon be arresting the thousands of Americans who gave money to the IRA and the INLA? Or closing Sin Fienns bank accounts? If not, why not? In America does one first have to be a Muslim before one is classified as a terrorist? I love coming to the states but am concerned with what apperars to be anti Islamic Mc Carthyistic fervor. 5. Thats really funny. I was recently in Marche in Italy hoping to get a jump in but ended up on the ground all day. When I asked where the Casa was I was told periodicly 'Shes not here yet maybe in an hour' after half a day I asked again and was told that the aircraft was lost, no one knew where it was!!! Apparently it had been flying missions to Bosnia at night and hadn't returned. So everyone just 'broke for an extended lunch' with a happy shrug. This said it was a really friendly DZ with a fantastic hotel next door that gave a Skydiver discount and had a great swimming pool and fantastic food. 8. An interesting link. http://argument.independent.co.uk/commentators/story.jsp?story=107292 I still haven't been able to find the program makers name but I will. This link is the front cover story on a national British paper today. 9. Hi i jump there sometimes, its great the DZ is just round the corner from a great hotel called the Castel Blanc, which is chaep (they do a Skydiver discout as well) and its clean and very nice. The DZ flys mainly Porters and is busy all the time. Th Town is great and if you want some night life don't go out until at least 12pm as no one come out before this (yea, seriously) Good places to hang out at night are the Surf Inn and the Captin cabin. The food is great (so long as you avoid the crap tourist dives). Try and make sure your not the last out on a load as they don't tend to go round for a second run. The food on the DZ is pretty good as is the atmosphere. Avoid the DZ accomadation unless you have a thing about mildew. All in all a great DZ. If you are flying from the UK or elsewhere in Europe. Try flying Ryanair to Perpingion in France May have mispelt that) and rent a car its only an hours drive from Perpingion and the sceanary is great. 10. Ok, so I first heard about this on a news program here in the UK on Channel 5. A documentary by a undercover news team is to be screened in a few weeks on channel 5. I have seen some of the highlights. It alledeges that prisoners were herded into frieght containers and when they complianed there was no air the NA fired through the side of the containers to make holes. These containers were then taken to a large prison under US comand. Allegedly when the officer in charge saw the insides of the containers he told the NA to get them away from the prison before they were photographed by satellite, allegedly he also told them to get rid of the prisoners still alive. Some of the prisoners were unloaded but many were driven off. Allegedly the executions took place in the presence of upto 30 US soldiers. The film shows interviews with people that took part in the mass executions, others that were there and shows the containers. What else I don't know until I see the whole documentary. Check these links, and as soon as I know who made the film and exactly when its to be shown I'll let you know. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/despatches/west_asia/33007.stm http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/despatches/35412.stm http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/s/w_asia/42302.stm Also the US wouldn't sign the war crimes convention because the rest of the signatorys refused to agree to a exemption for US forces to ever to stand trail for war crimes. 13. 'Why is the Middle Eastern World so Anti-American, ANTI-WESTERN? Could some places possibly interpret some of our actions as "acts of terrorism"? ' America claimed it went to war in Kosovo partly because Serbs were executing Kosovans and burying them in mass graves. New evidence has uncovered that 3000 Afghan prisoners suspected of being Taliban were executed in he desert in Afghanistan on orders of Americans. Their bodies were then placed in a mass grave. Upto 30 American servicemen allegedly watched the executions, which were carried out by Northern alliance men. Question...........Should American soldiers face trial for war crimes if they either carried them out or were involved in them? 17. Ok, so I'm being a bit of a devils advocate here, but.... '. The dude like threatens us a lot' (The Bush administration has stated that it wants Sadam dead) 'kills his own people' (As do many countries eg: Turkey, Russia, Spain) 'promotes & pays suicide bombers to hit Isreal' (True but they were doing it before he started handing out cash anyway) 'he is building weapons of mass destruction (you know the biological sh*t ' (Hes had Biological weapons for over a decade and a half, why hasn't he used them on the west before if he intends to? Also many countries including Cuba which is on the US's doorstep have developed Bioweapons.) 'I am sure houses enemies of the west and probably helps them out' ( As does very many other countries) 'I will support my country whatever it does' Is supporting your country the same as supporting your government? Something to consider? When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

The Vote

Hi Jasmin, Recently the French version of the Nazi party almost got their top man in Frances top political job, why? Because the people didn't bother to vote first time round and the Nazi supporters did. Yes its important to vote. 19. I agree it seems that president Bush has already decided to invade, but why? His stated aim of a regime change can only be achived by placing boots on the ground, I also question the value of wetting Iraqi sand with young American blood in order to change one despot for another. What does America stand to gain from this? Is it just an oil thing or am I being to cynical here?
20. There is alot of talk here in the UK about an invasion of Iraq by American and British troops sometime in the near future. Alot of people in the UK are against this as they say there is no justification for it. No proof of Iraqi involvement in 9/11, and no UN mandate for such an attack. The media here would have the nation belive that all Americans are for such action is that the case and if so why? and why now? Why Iraq when allegedly the 9/11 hijackers were mainly Saudis? Whats your view? When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

22. To ridicule an entire nation because of the writings of one man seems a little over the top. As for 'We've got it all, and they hate us for it.' I imagine that you haven't been to France. The only thing that the US has got that France hasn't is desert. France has some fantastic food, beautiful countryside, stunning women, a rich history and culture. So fighting isn't really their thing, big deal. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca
