More like they don't want to get sued and its bloody difficult to perform a colonoscopy on a patent thats wriggling and fighting you. Good way to perf someone. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

My first reaction was total shock, that is until I stopped and thought about it. I have X-rayed prisoners in London before who were arrested on entry to the country for drugs. Admittedly they all were compliant so implied consent. (Every one of them were mules and found to be carrying drugs in them) but what if they had been innocent? There again, the search was non invasive and methods such as those shown on the man in the OP are not used, rather wait and see is used. BTW That X-ray looked like the pelvis was deformed (to the point where it looks like an animal) if that was genuinely his X-ray then I'm not surprised he was standing funny. Its disgraceful that RW put a political opinion that has nothing to do with running into their magazine. I also dispute that 50% of the readers are pro and 50% anti, from the feedback so far there is an overwhelming negative response. Drop a bollock. http://bit.ly/Hyc5Yv The backlash is only just starting, their Facebook page has around 400 comments all negative. Really the Editor should lose their job over this, disgraceful. I don't disagree that its possible to improve with hard work but theres much more to it than that. If I work my arse off on maths every day consistently I can do it and have in the past been awarded a distinction in the subject. However, just a week without the daily grind and its all gone... Vamoose (however its spelt). Yet my wife is great at maths and it sticks with no practice, she can throw numbers around n her head easily and enjoys number work, but theres more to maths than numbers. I enjoy physics and can understand the complexities of various theories and for example the physics behind magnetic resonance imaging, but numbers are pretty much abstract entities to me. My mind works in a different way and I think in a different way to the majority of people and numbers as much as I wish they were not are simply intanigble to me. I believe there is such a thing as EVIL, and I have just read it here. Thats a bit harsh John. I remember a child with serious life limiting conditions in a hospital who was very religious, when asked how can you believe in a God who would do this to you? He replied, 'he has all eternity to make it up to me'. For people who don't believe in a after life and who believe that there is nothing after death, then it can only be judged in the harsh light of this life. But to those who sincerely believe that death is not the end the perspective is entirely different. Incidentally studies have shown that patients with cancer who believe live longer than those who don't (although there is no difference in survival rates), hope is an amazing thing.
