  1. Yes, cut the defense budget in half and we're getting somewhere, and still have the world's most expensive military. You can take their guns from their cold dead hands. 4. So just who were these menacing gentlemen who the American cop wished he'd had a gun to deal with... http://tinyurl.com/8rnsvm6 When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

  6. A good example of why there are so many shootings in the USA. What would this guy have done if he had a firearm on him at this time? By the sound of it he'd have drawn down on the two guys. What was the outcome of all this? A couple of Canadians bemused by a tourist who is so terrifed of being out without a firearm that he sees a threat in being spoken to by strangers, how sad is that? This doesn't add up either, if they knew he didn't have a gun on him (because in Canada the public aren't allowed to carry firearms for self defence in public) then what was it that stopped them? Could it be that these guys were simply asking a tourist about their trip? After all they committed no crime when given the chance. 7. Except Iraq did not try to hurt you, nor did it have the capacity to do so when the decision was made to invade. The decision was based on faulty intelligence. The question remains if the intelligence was deliberately faulty or if people were incompetent. I vote both. We know that in the UK Tony Blair ordered the 'intelligence' 'sexed up' in order to sell the war to the public, that is a matter of public record. 8. Hmm, well if it wasn't a political move then the Intelligence was piss poor. As G H Bush was formerly head of the CIA maybe junior was more like his Dad than he has been given credit for. 16. A) Grow a pair and stop worrying what strangers on the internet think of you. B) As the man said, step away from the internet. C) If you're still serious about wanting to jump either find a new DZ or go and make a face to face apology and see if they'll have you back. D) Either way keep your mouth closed and your ears open. Its good to ask questions but once you have the answer know when to shut up. E) Do what the instructors say, sometimes in life you just have to trust those who are instructing you. F) Keep away from the internet. G) This too shall pass.... Chill. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. 20. Not at all, of course one should try and understand the motivations of terrorists in the fight against them. But to truly understand hatred isn't possible unless you also feel it. Its possible to understand that Neo Nazi's hate non whites, its possible to understand that jealousy, scapegoating and fear might be the underlying cause of their hatred. But to truly understand their hatred is not possible unless you also share it. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. 22. To himself? Most likely Just because there is no way for many of us to understand what would drive someone to do this (which is a good thing) does not make him crazy Evil would be a better term IMO In either case, all we can do is guess and hope we never do understand the thought process he had I had to laugh at your last statement. If you posed that question in a closed AA meeting, meaning regular members, you would probably get several detailed explanations of that thought process. Maybe it was as simple as a method for a government sponsored retirement plan. You know food, shelter, clothing and medical care for life since he lost his ARMY retirement. I am not sure what you mean But let me explain a bit further When my boys were young, and a story of a mother killing her baby, or a dad hurting a child or some other story, (such as the mass killings) they would ask me, dad, how could anybody do that? I would tell them I do not know. I can not understand just as you can not understand. But know, that not understanding the actions these people took is a good thing Because, if you can not understand it, the chances of you ever doing something similar is almost nil. When I was in NI I remember a English colleague saying to a catholic college from Belfast that he wanted to understand the 'Troubles'. The Belfast man said 'its not possible to understand because its hatred, to understand there needs to be some thought process involved, its hatred plain and simple.' I think that applies to this murderer also, if you don't hate asians and others who are not white then its not possible to understand, its hatred plain and simple.
