  1. Ypu'll never get that genie back in the bottle, guns are part of American culture and constitution. The NRA works to educate about guns you can't blame them for the use of weapons. 2. Is he? Stripped of 7 titles, if he isn't guilty why doesn't he fight it? I'd hate to think that he was a cheat he has accomplished so much but the reports all seem to say yep Lance Armstrong is a doper. Whats your thoughts? Small in stature huge in intellect, the polar opposite of the idiots that are running for POTUS and VP. http://media.newstalk.ie/extra/1602/popup When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. 9. Rape is rape. Anyway regardless of what the idiot has been accused of we are in receipt of a European arrest warrant and an extradition order. The alleged crime is not the point. 11. We're obliged under European and international law to comply with the legal request to extradite a man wanted for arrest in a European country. I'd love to send him to a mickey mouse country to enjoy the 'freedom' but the choice is not there. 12. Well, it would provide leverage to any other country to losen diplomatic rules regarding British interests. The next time somebody seeks protection inside a British Embassy or Consulate, they may find that it doesn't offer much protection any more. There would probably be a fair bit of business impact, with some of it maybe not becoming immediately evident. Britain does not give or accept the notion of diplomatic asylum. 13. I seriously doubt it would be that much, anyway the Argies have been doing their best to damage our trade in South America for a few years now. This isn't about Assange for Ecudor but about impressing the Argentinians, giving a fuck you to the USA and getting some media coverage, quite frankly the place is a joke, its population is only around the size of the M25 area around London. Its economy in such poor shape that it had to abandon its own currency and sart using the US dollar. Trade embargoes cut both ways and I doubt the other South American countries will be willing to take a hit over Assange, they have a lot to lose. Still they'll get sick and tired of having that soap dodging sex pest hanging around sooner r later and then he's in cuffs on his way to Sweden. 14. For a start no one (apart from ill informed press and muppets from Ecuador) has said anything about 'storming' the embassy. Secondly under UK English law we have the right to enter the premises under the diplomatic and Consular Premises Act 1987 http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1987/46 When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. 15. Right, in the world of international relations, legal or illegal takes a back seat to ramifications What do you think the ramifications would actually be? When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca
  16. I thought you said it was meant for documents only? You know right after the snide remark about doing more research.... From Wiki (it is further sourced, you can do your own research on the source): "The physical concept of a "diplomatic bag" is flexible and therefore can take many forms e.g., a cardboard box, briefcase, duffel bag, large suitcase, crate or even a shipping container." So conceivably (eventhough it is against the regulations) one could try and ship a person out in a crate or shipping container. As I noted above, if the British thought that was taking place, they could simply delay the shipment with its subsequent consequences. Or open it if its in breech and abuse of diplomatic protocol. A heartbeat detector laid on the box would put the kibosh on that plan. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. 20. Which is why I gave a clear definition so people can talk from the same criteria. Seems Ron Paul agrees, but I don't think this is a Dem Vs GOP thing as BHO hasn't exactly been a beacon of democracy either nor any other Lib or REP POTUS in my lifetime. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-201_162-57380947/paul-u.s--slipping-into-a-fascist-system/ When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. 22. Dr L W Britt defined fascism using fourteen points. 1. Powerful and continuing expressions of nationalism 2. Disdain for the importance of human rights 3. Identification of enemies/scapegoats as a unifying cause 4. The supremacy of the military/avid militarism 5. Rampant sexism 6. A controlled mass media 7. Obsession with national security 8. Religion and ruling elite tied together 9. Power of corporations protected 10. Power of labor suppressed or eliminated 11. Disdain and suppression of intellectuals and the arts 12. Obsession with crime and punishment 13. Rampant cronyism and corruption 14. Fraudulent elections It seems to me that the USA currently fulfils many if not all of these points and is on a slide towards the rest. Am I wrong? Is today's USA one which the founding Fathers would recognise? Was this their dream? 'Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of State and corporate power.'
