Is this an English phrase? I'm not familiar with it, but I see at least some of the East coast folks are. I'm in a pretty lousy place for self sufficiency if something dramatic happened, there are millions of people or harsh ocean between me and something approaching wilderness. On the positive side, most of my neighbors are unarmed and afraid of guns. As in financially securing ones future, I just thought I'd preclude pensions as some joker was bound to come out with it.... Should have mentioned the toilet paper as well it seems. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Nope, it is about realization, understanding, acceptance, and peace . Hmmm, that's not what Ron said. Which one of you is wrong? its only a one sided conversation if you decide not to listen. As Christians, we pray to get in communication with the Holy Spirit and to achieve a stronger alignment with the will of God. Why do you always resort to gobbledygook when presented with a difficult question? Sounded pretty straight forward to me. I'm most curious as to why people are prepping? Nobody has specified yet. People who prep must have a reason; what is your's? 1- Social breakdown (failed or overrun government, riots in the street, invasion by other nation(s)) 2- Asteroid or comet impact 3- Alien attack 4 - Any oogie-boogie related to the Mayan calendar/2012 apocalypse 5 - Nuclear war 6- Other, please specify "But just because we're hypnotized it don't mean we can't dance." - Tonio K Yea, really good question. I meant to ask in the Op but forgot, cheers

Interesting Ron What do you mean by a survival network? When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Are you a 'prepper' and if so what are you prepping for? What actions have you taken to secure your future? (Pensions not included) When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

We all suffer and die, so death and suffering is a non-issue. God's caring is that we fulfill the destiny He created us for. Which is to know & love Him thereby enabling us to know & love ourselves and others. So, that's why he had terrorists crash planes into buildings...so the people in those towers, falling and being crushed in an unspeakable horror of flames . . . would know his love and the destiny He created for them. My goodness. That all does make sense now. I guess he really is a caring god. Maybe the Jews are right and God is more old Testament than New. So when Obama wins, will it be Gods fault or the fault of people not praying enough? It is not a question of fault. It is about God's will for the nation. So you're saying when Obama won that was the will of God. And for as long as Obama is in power it is Ron's duty as a Christian to follow whatever decisions he or his government makes. Because according to Ron, even though he hates him, Obama is essentially God's first officer in the USA. Kinda gives you a warm fuzzy feeling thinking about that, doesn't it? Actually its an interesting point, the Druze in Israel believe that and so serve in the IDF. Nothing against a prayer thread, in fact I quite like the idea but why do you have to keep making different threads every week for what is the same thread? Why not put all your prayer posts in one place? When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Why have you started a second thread about the same thing? We're not going to have 40 of these threads are we????? When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Prayer, of course, has been shown to have no objective effect whatsoever.
