  3. Yep, I know that some reading that will just think I'm being a troll but I'm not. Even after the Somali debacle Americas millitary still was feared by a large amount of the world. The question was more 'will the Americans ever be willing to use it in a war that isn't just a small invasion like Panama?' Now the world has been shown time and time again that America can be defeated by a determined enemy, and they are lining up to take a pop. For every one thats killed two fight over who will pick up his weapon. That is something that has damaged the safety of Americans everywhere, including at home. 6. You seem to suffer from the misconception that anyone that disagrees with the war in Iraq or Afghanistan is a liberal whos never seen service. SUPRISE!!! You are not the only one whos ever served in a war zone or been in Afgahanistan or Iraq. Its just that some people use their brain and can think about what a disasterous situation your President has led your country and the world into. 8. You forgot to mention the 19000 wounded or the 350 dead contractors. Measuring the success of a war by the number of dead is a very American thing to do. But it doesn't really tell you anything. For a start if you take away the technalogical advances over the years since the other wars you mentioned such as body armour and vechical armour and medical advances alot of those 19,000 would also be dead. The war in Iraq was ill concieved and has turned into a disaster. No insult to the people who've died there or been injured but it doesn't change the fact that its just a matter of time now until the US declare 'victory for democracy' and run. Then its a matter of weeks at the very most until Iraq implodes. Its lost. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. 12. This is news? Its only news that GW has admitted it. Its just further proof that the US Government is acting in an unlawful manner. 'Land of the free' My Arse! This just plays right into the hands of the enemies of the US and creates further justification for a Jihad in the eyes of their audiance. Which is exactly what GW Bush wants, war without end. 17. The war in Iraq is virtually lost and in Afghanistan the Taliban are making a comeback and are taking and controling ground. UBL is still a free man five years after 9/11 and is still organising and directing (after a fashion) terrorist attacks. The world is a far less stable and more dangerous place not just for Americas but for all. I'd say UBL is doing a bloody good job of spreading his Jihad and that the US has been close to defeated in Iraq. Its just a matter of time and a few hundred/thousand more deaths before the US declare the war won and run for cover, who knows maybe we'll be watching the same images as we did when Saigon fell. 18. I guess you watched another video. And in the snipers letters there are guys saying that they have more trained men than weapons. I'm only going on whats on this site and the fact that at least three other posters have said that the video was either misleading or total bullshit makes me wonder why you are the only one who doesn't see it. As for my service yes I have, as for your reference to trolling and the competen of my language abilities that sounds like a thinly vieled personal attack. Would have expected better from a greenie. 20. Just the response i'd expect from a brit....and I don't agree with what the IRA has done. but I do support the cause. Thats most likely because you don't understand the situation. I'm sitting in Belfast as I type this and belive me its not over and the situation is highly complex. 21. Maybe you watched a different video, I'm going only on the info in the site, have you read the letters from snipers? Like I said all armies soldiers get their own kit as well just this site make the situation sound very bad When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca
  22. Thats not what they say in AmericanSnipers.org Flash Movie. Every army in the world has squadies getting their own kit from somewhere, I'm just suprised that Sniper units in Iraq and Afghanistan don't in some cases even have rifles!!! 25. I disagree with you about the solution of the problem. To destroy the crops will destabilise the country even further. It would also mean massive deployment of British troops would be required to do the work of our 'Afghan allies' in the country side most of whom are the warlords who have their private armies/millita who are the very people growing the poppies. The solution is to let them grow the crops and licence the crop which we then use for medical use. (There is currently a shortage) I'm not the only one who thinks this is a good idea. http://www.senliscouncil.net/modules/Opium_licensing When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy.
