Do you think the video footage of Irwin's death should be shown?
Skyrad replied to SkydiveStMarys's topic in The Bonfire
Fair enough but we don't need to actually see the moment of the attack and the aftermath. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca -

I don't want to see it anymore than I want to watch it anymore than I want to watch footage of a Skydiver going in. Would any of you want to watch that? When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca -
While for once we agree on this case and the 'Soldier' involved this... Is bullshit. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

I've taken my rig all over the world and I never put it in a bag. I tuck in the Hacky, put the chest strap through the legs and sling it on my back. Usually people don't give it a second look, I even had a couple of compliments on my 'cool backpack'. When its not in a bag I can't be accused of trying to 'smuggle ' a parachute on board by some fucktard TSA wanabe. Also I can just take it on as hand lugage (until now) I wouldn't check in my rig, I've seen the state of luggage that has been trashed by ground crew. I even told a X Ray tech in Brisbane (Australia) that it was a parachute and she didn't belive me until she X rayed it! If you watch he moved like a fencer with his feet, heel toe heel toe and reverse, never once crossing his legs over, his stance, balance and movments were controled and profesional. If you look at the crocks focus of attention which steve held well it was always on the food never anywhere else. In retrospect it wasn't a good idea, but thats due to the outrage it caused by well meaning people who knew nothing about the real risk factor involved. People think we're maniacs for jumping out of planes and BASE jumpers for hitting objects, why? Because they know nothing of what we do other than what they see in films that dramatise our sport in negative ways, just like the people who judged Steve base their opinions on assumption and pedjudices of crocks. (No offensive intended to anyone.) When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

At least one DZ.commer thinks the holocaust was a joke. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2416905#2416905 When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

'Did YOU ' you said. John spin it what ever way you want your foul question is racist and objectionable in the extreme. Be a man and appologise. Maybe you find the death of millions of Jews, Gypsys, Homosexuals, people killed for their belifes is a funny subject. Its not, its foul and clearly I'm not the only one here that thinks you've well and truely oversteped the mark this time. Excuse me??? http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2416905#2416905 Hardly the same as implying that you had a personal involvement in the Holocaust of millions of people because of your nationality. No comment There is a line John and you crossed it by far. I belive you owe her an appology. Neither Korea nor Iran have invaded their neighbors in recent years, attcking them would have nothing to do with defending us and everything to do with pushing the Neo Con Pax Americana agenda. Its clearly an attack on her as she is German and the reference to WWII is an obvious reference to the fact that Zyklon B was used to gas millions of Jews. That is offensive in the extreme, if you don't think so lets ask Ori and see how funny he thinks it is. Thats way off the mark John. Did you have some Zyklon-B left over from WWII? That sounds like a highly offensive personal attack to me, you're bang out of order. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

I thought the guy was great. I liked that he was passionate about animals, the environment and his wife and family. Steve Irwin died living the dream, how many people give up on theirs. Good on him!
