Dave Barry: Religion according to Four-year-old girls
Skyrad replied to SpeedRacer's topic in Speakers Corner
Many years ago when my little sister was three years old the following happened.. It was a sunday morning and my parents were in bed, my sister went into their room and climbed into the bed with them for a cuddle. As she lay there she looked out of the window at the tree outside blowing in the wind. "Mummy, whats moving the tree?" My mother was half asleep and replied, 'the wind, dear' My Sister asked 'Where does the wind come from?' Still half asleep my mum answered, 'God makes it' After a little thought my sister asked, 'Where does the tree come from?' Mum replied, 'From an acorn' 'But where does the acorn come from?' My Mum replied, 'God made it'. My sister asks 'Does God make everything?' Mum still trying to doze back off...'Yes, darling God makes everything' My sister went quite for a while then asked ' Does God live in Hong Kong?' (It turned out that she'd asked my other sister where her dolls came from and been told Hong Kong) Kids logic, can't fault it When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. But he is only one of 50 academics who agree with his findings. Don't get me wrong like you said just the shear logistical issuses in bringing down a building on its footprint using explosives rule it out for me. I think people mayhave noticed something amiss But I'd still like to know what their argument is. I know what brought those buildings down, two planes controled by suicidal mass murderers. These 2x valid reason are abit disconcerting The first one of those two reasons was introduced after massive numbers of Kosovans, Serbs and Albanians came to the UK. It was introduced to make them feel more at home. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

That always makes me laugh too. Funny that before Austin Powers no one ever mentioned British teeth only after the film. So for all you Americans out there ******NEWS FLASH******** Austin Powers wasn't a documentary. I think this has all been a bit of a culture shock for you, SC can be a brutal place for those who aren't used to it, but we're not all bad once you get to know us, so in best Bonfire fashion heres some reasuring {{{{{{{{{{{VIBES}}}}}}}}}}}} and a {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} To make you feel better When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. In true SC form I'd suggest attacking the post rather than the poster, what I mean is whats his alledged proof? I waould like to see it and critically review his study and findings before writing him off as a crank. If he really does have evidence which may suggest that more than just the hijackers were responsible for commiting mass murder then shouldn't that be objectivly reviewed? If it turns out he is a crank then nothing lost. http://www.911blogger.com/2006/02/dr-steven-jones-utah-seminar-video.html When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Maybe because the US SF have never had to worry (yet) about someone putting an IED under their car at home or being pinged while on a job. Things are different elsewhere. I'm curious do US SF take their 'coins' into the field with them? When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. I like the idea of an ash dive but don't want to cremated before hand. I'd like to have a fourway over a volcano then when everyone else dumps I carry on and get cremated in the volcano!
