  1. Well, a friend of mine who jumps with his 400D has a big dust speck right in the center when shooting at higher apertures, so it's not that reliable. Maybe his anti-dust tech is broken. I'll talk to him about it. Cheers Costyn van Dongen - http://www.flylikebrick.com/ - World Wide Wingsuit News
  2. Here's another favorite of mine. I always try to take my camera along on sunset loads. Its one of the more challenging times to take pictures, with the fading light, but also the most rewarding, cause the pics often turn out very cool.
  3. What modem make and model is it? You should be able to do this in the web interface of the modem somewhere. Alternatively you can see if you can turn on UPNP anywhere in the modem. This will allow the programs on your computer to tell the modem what ports to forward. Although I'm not sure if uTorrent does UPNP, you'd have to find out in the program or their website. Azureus does support it. Cheers Costyn van Dongen - http://www.flylikebrick.com/ - World Wide Wingsuit News
  4. That's BIRDchick to you Aren't chickens birds? So isn't birdchick redundant? Costyn van Dongen - http://www.flylikebrick.com/ - World Wide Wingsuit News
  5. But beware that with many creative commons licenses you are not allowed to use the works for commercial purposes, so no using them for tandem videos. Be sure to read the license carefully first. Costyn van Dongen - http://www.flylikebrick.com/ - World Wide Wingsuit News
  6. Cool pics, seems like quite a sharp lens... did you crop them at all? I would've expected more of a fisheye, as shown in ffejdraga's avatar pic? Costyn van Dongen - http://www.flylikebrick.com/ - World Wide Wingsuit News
  7. I keep nagging Jarno about it, but I he has so many other projects that need finishing... oh well... The video he has in premiere now is really really cool. Hey Jarno, maybe Darren or I could finish it for you? Cheers Costyn van Dongen - http://www.flylikebrick.com/ - World Wide Wingsuit News
  8. This is the new reinforced unbreakable sail material that is in the Blades as well. So, not mylar. Costyn van Dongen - http://www.flylikebrick.com/ - World Wide Wingsuit News
  9. I'd have to agree with you there, Glen. There are vast differences in the first flight performances of newbies. Some dive like maniacs, some are incredibly floaty/stalling and I really don't think that this would be a good way to compare suits. And like you said, high performance suits aren't usually intuitive. Costyn van Dongen - http://www.flylikebrick.com/ - World Wide Wingsuit News
  10. Nice! I like the color scheme. Costyn van Dongen - http://www.flylikebrick.com/ - World Wide Wingsuit News
  11. But your S3 didn't have airlocks on the front inlets. The leg wing is really pressurized quite a lot on the Blade. I don't bother trying to close it before deployment, too much work. I just dump from full flight. Costyn van Dongen - http://www.flylikebrick.com/ - World Wide Wingsuit News
  12. Well, I would say the most comprehensive source of information on the AN72 boogie is the FAQ that Scott posted a couple days ago: AN-72 boogie FAQ Costyn van Dongen - http://www.flylikebrick.com/ - World Wide Wingsuit News
  13. Yep, me too. This was exactly what Cochstedt and Castellon were all about. It was a lot of hard concentration work flying your slot exactly, but also very rewarding and fun. Costyn van Dongen - http://www.flylikebrick.com/ - World Wide Wingsuit News
  14. Which is exactly what the guy in the teal V2 is doing momentarily (Airowpoint here on dz.com). He's getting it fixed, but I'm sure he'll chime in with the details later today. Costyn van Dongen - http://www.flylikebrick.com/ - World Wide Wingsuit News
  15. Very nice, Matt! It's the kind of video you show people when they ask you why you do wingsuiting!
  16. Okay, so it's bad form to reply to yourself, but I can't edit any more. Just wanted to say I've made a boo-boo: I meant Paralog of course, not JumpTrack.
  17. The pitch in JumpTrack and the pitch Yuri is talking about are 2 different things. The pitch in JumpTrack is what most people call glide ratio. Eh? They're too small for me to see... maybe you're the alien? with eyes with inbuilt zoom? Costyn van Dongen - http://www.flylikebrick.com/ - World Wide Wingsuit News
  18. I love my 10-22. Go for it! Cheers Costyn van Dongen - http://www.flylikebrick.com/ - World Wide Wingsuit News
  19. Damn... that is a *wide* leg stance! Costyn van Dongen - http://www.flylikebrick.com/ - World Wide Wingsuit News
  20. I see that Jean Pierre Knaff is giving a seminar on wingsuits in a wind tunnel? I've never heard of his name before. I'm assuming he's talking about horizontal windtunnel test like Bird-Man has done? Costyn van Dongen - http://www.flylikebrick.com/ - World Wide Wingsuit News
  21. Indeed... considering you pay $60 US in Perris to jump out of their jet, and in Cochstedt you get to jump out of a bigger jet, with a bigger door (3 wingsuiters abreast can exit at once), and it only costs 27 Euros. The DZ is the airport, which is frikkin' huge. It's an unbelievable experience. Like I say to many people, if you are only going to go to one boogie in 2007, make it the Cochstedt AN-72 boogie. 22. Heh yeah that was a fun sunset jump. We basically flew a one sided V, Mark (the photographer) was on his back as base, and we flew towards him and then pulled. Right after the next person would fly towards Mark and pull and the line would move up, etc... It'll be on the video. Costyn van Dongen - http://www.flylikebrick.com/ - World Wide Wingsuit News
  23. Cool, so where's all the pictures from those tight tight formation flocks then? Costyn van Dongen - http://www.flylikebrick.com/ - World Wide Wingsuit News
  24. I've changed the gallery so that if you go to http://www.birdmantopgun.com/gallery.php you'll always see the last picture first. I guess scrolling through all the pics does get annoying, even if they are fabulous. edit: o yeah when all the pics are up, we'll add a thumbnail gallery.
