Ah, your post makes it sound like it actually happened to you... If not, then I think it's a pretty unlikely scam due to ebay's bid retraction rules.

Retracting a bid in the last 15 seconds is usually not allowed, but if that did happen then it should be reported to ebay. I always put a disclaimer on my auctions saying that I reserve the right to cancel bids from people with little or negative feedback - that way if something looks fishy I can simply cancel the bid myself (though I haven't had to do this so far). Anyhow, check out ebay's bid retraction policy: http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/bid-retract.html Especially this part: Sounds like you should report the bidder who did that to you... (and you may not be obligated to sell the item at that price).

I don't see it as cheating, as long as he has told his wife that he is now seeing someone else... or as long as the divorce is being processed (in which case I think it's no longer any of his soon-to-be-ex-wife's business whether he is seeing anyone else or not... unless there are children involved). Now from my experience, I would say it's not a good idea to jump right into another serious relationship immediately after ending one... (He'll probably be carrying a lot more "baggage" than if he had some time alone in between the relationships.)... but who knows... that's just my experience, other people might be different...

I agree... There is just something sexy about being in a hotel room, whether it's a cheap one or an expensive one or whatever... I don't know what it is, but hotel rooms are sexy...

I didn't see the commercial (what happened in it?)... but I used to have satin sheets and they kinda sucked... I would always wake up with no pillow because it would slide out from under my head and onto the floor. The black satin looked pretty though... Now I have soft white cotton sheets, to match my innocent personality.

That is your belief... I do not believe that God exists in any form, and certainly not as "some big magical giant sitting on a throne up in the sky somewhere." Now if I was to believe in any sort of God, your description is about the closest to what I would believe in... but to call it God implies (to me) that it is something that thinks and is actually aware of us and concerned with what we are doing... and that is the part I do not believe... so while I somewhat believe in a certain energy or force that is larger than anything we can imagine (and very hard to put into words), it just doesn't work for me to call it God... and I continue to consider myself an atheist.

That is completely between the two of you and what you agree on in your relationship. This is one of the reasons I prefer open relationships, because little things like this don't cause such a huge problem.... Also, if there really is an attraction to another person, having an open relationship means that we are more likely to talk about it without feeling the need to keep it a secret (which makes for a much healthier relationship, IMO, since it's pretty unlikely that most people are going to go the rest of their lives without feeling attracted to anyone else)... Not saying that's the case in your situation - it sounds to me like he really is just a friend... Anyhow, I hope you are able to work out this problem with her. It sounds like you need to take some deep breaths, sit down and talk with her in a calm manner, and find a compromise that works for both of you.

I loved that song so much when it first came out (and still do)... but for the longest time I thought he was saying "Despite all my rage, I am still just ready to cage" instead of "still just a rat in the cage" and I thought it was such a cool phrase that I started using it... saying "I'm ready to cage" and stuff like that... so I felt pretty silly when I read the lyrics and realized what he was actually saying... but I still think it's a cool phrase - "ready to cage"... -

I meant to ask you this the other day, but I just now remembered... What is the purpose of melting salt, and what happens to it when it is melted? Does it become a liquid or a gas?
