  1. Pretty much. A few people from other areas joined in, but the vast majority of the rioters were Quebecers and Torontonians trashing their own city. If you want people to understand you, you need to communicate in a language people besides yourself understand. What the heck is a "anatrchists"? Are you trying to imply some religious connotation here? Because if you are, you are barking up the wrong tree. Freedom of expression does NOT including getting violent and trashing other people's property. I am onside saying these meetings should not have been held in Toronto. But Toronto would have whined if they were held somewhere else since Toronto thinks they are the only city that matters in this country. Toronto whined when the Feds did not spend money, then they whined when the Feds did spend money and now they are back whining when the Feds say they must stop spending so much money. What is the common denominator in all of this? Torontonians are just a bunch of whiners. Who needs some cheese. Once again, where did all these riots get the people of Toronto? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  2. You people in Toronto could have easily proven the Feds wrong for spending all that money on security by NOT PROTESTING. Then the Feds would have looked dumb if the only people on the streets were the cops. But instead, you with he help of your pals in Quebec trashed your own city, and for what? Where did all that rioting get you? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  3. Contrary to what some people think, the police showed huge restraint yesterday. Part of the reason why so much destruction occurred was because the police knew they would be roasted by the media if they started busting the heads of these moronic rioters. We shall see what happens today. It is a new day. Some of the rioters were from the USA. I am sure some were from Europe. Many of the rioters were from Quebec. But I am sorry Toronto, you have your own home grown rioters who are trashing your own city. Why? Do you hate business that much Toronto? Do you hate jobs that much? Is your desire for communism that strong Toronto? I know silly question. We know the Universities are breeding grounds for the marxist movement and look who was rioting yesterday. It wasn't the the working people with families who were rioting. It was the young welfare collecting anarchists, the young underground economy zipperheads and the university students who decided to trash the city. No doubt the Leftist / Marxist element of the DorkZone will lay into this post. But the reality is ... people with jobs (blue and white collar) were not the violent ones yesterday trashing the city. Speeding

Take your anger and frustrations out to the race track. There I promise you, you can drive as fast as you think you can drive and chances are you still will not exceed the performance limits of your vehicle. Plus once you have driven on the track you will know driving like a mad man on the public roads is just dumb. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  5. Matt this is a myth Liberals continue to spew. It's just not true. The media are the last people to listen to since the media are Liberals and are in the business to brainwash people into whatever agenda they want to pursue. Liberals who happen to be scientists (and other technical fields) are obviously very intelligent individuals. But Liberals who majored in Art History and other Social Studies continue to pound their chest proclaiming their supreme intellect while non-liberal business oriented entrepreneurial individuals are far more intelligent, have much stronger work ethics and are the bread and butter than keeps the economy ticking (and before anyone whines about the current recession, anyone with half a brain with knowledge about how economies work knows the economy is cyclical. There will always be times of growth and times when the economy is pushed too far and it is time to recede). So for all the University educated people who majored in business, science, technology, engineering and medical fields (plus a few others) my hat goes off to you people. You are very smart. For all the University educated people who majored in Liberal Art History and other social studies ... STFU with your rhetoric about how supremely intelligent that you are because the vast majority of the time you are wasting everyone's time spewing forth your useless crap that nobody but yourself and your fellow lemmings care about. I will say one thing though. All these leftist Liberal artsy'farts socialists are damn good at indoctrinating the youth of the world into their Marxist ideology. The battle is not lost, but many young people these days (thanks to the pathetic state of the family and the piss poor job parents are doing raising their children) may not call themselves communists, but they sure believe in the Marxist dream. The goal of world communism may just be a few short decades away. Why work in life when you can be brainwashed from a young age by all the educators you are ever exposed to that the nanny state will be there to manage every aspect of your life for you. 6. I lived in Colorado Springs from 1998 through to 2000 and lived in the shadows of Plodget Peak (a mountain near Pikes Peak). From a scenery point of view, I was in heaven. Numerous times I would hike the Barr Trail on Pikes Peak and one time I went all the way up the 13 mile trail including a 7000 foot elevation gain and then I turned around and hiked back down. Climbing up the mountain wasn't too bad, but my legs, knees and toes were destroyed from the 13 mile 7000 foot descent. I had this wicked blood blister on one of my big toes. Nasty I say. Oh and sometimes I would take a long lunch and rock climb with a colleague at the "Garden of the Gods". The school children who would occasionally also come to the park loved us. We were like celebrities to them. Most of the people in Colorado Springs were great, the weather was awesome and the scenery to die for. But with all that said. Religion made a small minority of these people into absolutely nut cases. I can't tell you home many times people were telling me the devil had complete control of my life and that some dude named "Hey-Zues" would cure my evilness. Finally, I dated a girl while I was down there and she was a member of the "New Life Church". So to attempt to earn some brownie points with this girl (BTW ... I am agnostic), I occasionally attended services with her and listened to Pastor Ted who at the time I thought was a great vibrant speaker. But you know the church ... the mega church that was the victim of a deadly shooting incident (good thing one of the church goers was armed and shot the perpetrator dead, otherwise who knows how many more people would have died). Plus Pastor Ted, the man who impressed me for his common sense advice (when he wasn't pushing his religion) turned out to be a drug taking bi-sexual. LOL May you live in interesting times. But the good of Colorado Springs outweighed it's flaws. It is a nice small'ish city at the foot step of an inspiring mountain. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  7. Tom is most definitely NOT a lefty. But while I don't come here everyday, it's been ages since I have seen Tom post anything here. Is he on a leave of "Moderator" absence? Maybe he's too busy hurling himself (as well as teaching others how to hurl themselves) off of fixed objects. As far as the infamous BillVon is concerned ... it's debatable in the USA, but as far as the rest of the world is concerned, you too are NOT a lefty. You are most definitely a centerist. But the world is a big place. As an example, Canada's Conservative Party is left of the US Democrats on many (not all) topics. Me? Well ... what ever normal is, I assure you I am not it. 8. One of the reasons why the 911 R Hybrid finished on the podium at the recent 24 hour VLN race in Germany was because it did not need to make as many pit stops as it's 100% gasoline counterparts did. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  9. BTW ... for those too lazy to read up about the 911 R Hybrid, the two electric motors powering the front wheels of this car use a flywheel, not a battery. The flywheel generator has the advantage of storing and delivering high amounts of energy considerably quicker and one does not need to worry about destroying the planet with harmful nickel batteries like they would if they were driving a Toyota Prius. Of course this 911 Hybrid car is not ready for the masses yet. But you have to know that Hybrid technology developed by Porsche on the race track will be superior to anything Toyota comes up with. Of course I will come out and admit it. I am bias towards the German automakers capability. They have 60+ years of racing experience which has helped them make some of the best production cars this world has ever seen. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  10. A Toyota Prius? Please ... talk about a boring "sterilize me" car. Why is it that tree huggers insist on cutting off one of their all in the name of saving the planet. If you are going to drive a hybrid, do it right. If I was to own a hybrid I would want it to be this car. It only managed to finish on the podium recently in a VLN 24 hour endurance race at the Nurburgring in Germany. Plus there is talk that soon it will be making it's debut at LeMans. Of course not this year at LeMans since the 2010 iteration of the iconic "24 Heures du Mans" race just happened this last weekend. Carry on ... 11. I do believe it is the tournament's "Group of Death" and this first match solidified this label. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  12. What no extra time? The game ends in a 1-1 tie? That sucks ass. Shit where's my sister? Time to go kiss her? BTW. ... good game South Africa. You came so close to winning it at the end there (on more than one occasion) and I think you may have just spoiled Mexico's chances of advancing. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

  14. Work ethic and personal responsibility are core values of most conservative minded people. The same can not be said of others. But the world is not black and white. A non-conservative can possess a strong work ethic and not even be aware of it, just as a conservative can be a hypocrite when it comes to their own work ethic. 15. Goaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllll South Africa 1 - Mexico 1 8 minutes (or so) left in regulation. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  16. You don't need a TV if you have broadband. But of course you have to be interesting in the tournament. I am ... I am not a huge soccer fan, but I have always liked the World Cup. BTW ... huge upset in the works? South Africa leads Mexico 1-0 with about 25 minutes left in regulation time. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  17. Goaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllllllllll South Africa 1 - Mexico 0 still 35 minutes left in the game. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  18. I'll believe you when you start passing more powerful cars than what you are using on your local race track. Unless you are pushing yourself with success in the controlled confines of a race track, how can you know you really do possess superior driving skills? 19. I have started to learn this valuable lesson over the last few years. Skydiving is an ultra cool sport and one thing really neat about skydiving is that you meet people from all walks of life. But skydiving is not the only really cool sport/activity out there. The important thing is to find something you enjoy doing and then go do it. My problem is I keep finding myself interested in expensive activities. It all started with myself flying airplanes for recreational purposes, then I migrated to jumping out of them. Lately I have enjoyed driving my German sports car as fast as I could possible drive it around race tracks. What I really need to do is take pleasure from watching the grass grow. I would have more money in the bank if I took more pleasure in grass ... well you know the type of grass you don't smoke. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  20. First goaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal ... nope my mistake, Mexico was offside. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  21. I think most people (with open minds) will admit that the majority of hispanics who live and work in the USA illegally are hard working people (they definitely have a stronger work ethic than many Americans). But that still does not change the fact that they illegally entered the USA and continue to flaunt it's immigration laws. Of course the illegal immigrants are not the only ones at fault here. The INS itself is a fucking joke. The INS can be total ass wipes to people who enter the country legally while they continue to ignore those who entered illegally. Plus as long as the appetite of Americans exist to exploit the hispanics for their labor, you know no meaningful resolution will ever be found. I know I would not want to live in a "can I see your papers" society. But people on all sides need to start respecting the laws of the land. This includes the illegal immigrants, but it should also be extended to include Americans. There is something called NAFTA which is supposed to allow Americans, Canadians and Mexicans to conduct commerce in materials and labor in each one of our countries. But the fact remains that Americans continue to flaunt the true spirit of NAFTA and only accept NAFTA when it works to their advantage. There is no reason why many of these Mexican illegals could not be allowed to enter the USA as temporary workers. But the Mexicans must realize that they are entering as temporary residents. If they want permanent status, then they must seek this status through legal channels. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  22. Glad she is still alive. Also ... as much as I admire young people like her for their ambition and drive (too bad more young people don't have what this girl has), this trend of "being the youngest" to achieve goals can be deadly. I can't remember her name, but about a decade ago there was this young girl who wanted to fly solo around the country (or something like that) and she ended up crashing and dying. Society shouldn't let children do these activities "solo". People should wait until they are adults. Of course being 18 does not really make someone an adult. It's the maturity level someone possesses that makes them an adult. So now I am officially talking out of my ass. But as I said, I am happy this girl is still with us. I hope she gets rescued later today. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  23. Kick off to the opening match starts in about 15 minutes from now. I still think ice hockey is the best team sport, but football (soccer) has many similarities and I enjoy watching the World Cup more than any other soccer league/tournament. I have decided to cheer for Spain (the Euro Champs) in this tournament, but I may need to jump on to some other bandwagon if Spain continues to wear their World Cup monkey on their backs. Finally, hopefully the thugs will be kept under control this World Cup. It would be a shame for South Africa to wear a black eye for the bad behavior of a small minority.
