  1. I have always thought that Prince Harry was the only really cool Royal, but I have to say that Prince William second in line to the throne has himself one incredible woman and future Queen of England in Kate Middleton. Not only is Kate drop dead gorgeous, but she also appears to be a genuinely nice woman. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-DPSPgzrmI&feature=player_embedded#! But this is Speaker Corner and you didn't think this thread would be all "Lovey Dovey" now did you? With the ever so growing Muslim population in the UK, how long will it be before they reject the Royals and place the future King and Queen's heads at the foot of the London bridge. After all it is their plan to take over the world in install Sharia Law every where they are and well they just can't allow such a beautiful woman such as Kate Middleton to be their Queen when their quest to satisfy Allah is world wide Sharia Law. Enjoy ... no doubt I will now be attacked viciously by all the Liberal apologists who support the Muslim expansion in Western countries. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  2. Football breaks bones and destroys knees. But I have suffered many many injuries in hockey from bruises, to bloody faces, to torn muscles, to separated shoulders (and everything else in between). Now is this because I have played far more hockey games that I did football? Or is hockey just a bruising sport that one needs to play before one really understands how often you can get hurt in it. 3. There are just not enough hours in a day to be able to work, rest, do your chores, play and still be a somewhat responsible person in this modern world. Since I have all the other "Call of Duty" titles who am I kidding, I am sure I will get this one ... eventually. But I don't think I will be getting it tonight. BTW can you download the Steam version for the PC? LOL Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  4. Watch this play from a middle school football game and tell me if you could ever see this happening in a more advanced league ... like the NFL. http://tv.gawker.com/5684000/watch-a-middle-school-football-teams-stunning-trick-play Isn't there a rule in how the ball must be snapped? If there isn't maybe there should be. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  5. Compared to the money Overbite was bringing in at MSNBC for his show, his political contributions to these Democrat candidates is small potatoes. But the ironic thing is here is Overbite doing exactly what he whines about in many of his rants. Sorry Keith, you can't take the high road on this one. You got caught red handed with your hands in the cookie jar. Off to the penalty box you go. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  6. ROFLMAO ... I would like to know what that Ginger cat was really thinking. It definitely seemed to have the Black and White cat intimidated. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  7. I wish some of Canada's Liberals would listen to you in regard to firearms. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  8. You know maybe $200 million/day is a lie, but nobody is giving the Americans the exact price tag of this visit. As long as the Obama administration continues to hide the actual cost of this trip, the rumors will persist. You can't have it both ways. You can't think of Obama as the Messiah giving him a blank check to run around spending as he pleases without people sitting up and questioning how much money he is spending. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  9. I am not so sure the "sexual" maturity is correct, but the "emotional" maturity is spot on. Up here north of the border there is a huge segment of the population (predominately urban dwellers) who have little to no exposure to firearms and because of this they have these irrational thoughts that being in the same room as a firearm will result in death. For some reason they are unable to separate the inanimate object from the person who uses the firearm as a weapon. I am not 100% familiar with exactly what Americans must do to properly obtain the right to own a firearm, but I suspect a little more training in the US couldn't hurt the newbies. Earlier this year here in Canuckistan I took our mandatory firearms training course for anyone who wants to legally own a firearm and it was outstanding training and well worth the money I spent on it. We sat in a classroom for the entire day while the instructor taught us about the history of firearms evolution, taught us the rules and regulations for ownership, storage and transportation and then we spent most of the day with practical hands on experience handling of the various different types of firearms (using blank rounds) proving they were safely unloaded and other handling procedures. Going into the day I had some previous exposure to military semi-automatic rifles from when I was younger but I had no experience with pump actions, bolt actions, lever actions and single shots. But I came away from my training with and an excellent understanding of how to use these other actions. I know this is asking too much, but it sure would be nice if more people took one of these training classes (even if they have no firearms ownership intentions) and educate themselves on the actual firearms, educate themselves on the actual laws before they engage in the politics of guns. At least up here north of the border there are an awful lot of lies that get spread around by the anti's concerning firearms and most of the time it is people who are just ignorant of how to handle firearms and ignorant on the actual laws because they have zero exposure to firearms. Guns don't kill people, bullets kill them. Unless of course someone is pistol whipped over the head with a gun. But why go to the extent of getting a firearm to pistol whip someone when almost any object around the house works just as well. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  10. They all suck ass, every last one of them. It does not matter if they are Donkeys or Elephants. I still can't understand why some people worship these politicians. GWB sucked ass with his out of control spending and now Obama is making GWB look like a fiscal conservative (and we know GWB was no fiscal conservative). For crying out loud why was a community organizer turned junior senator treated as the Messiah and Savior of the world by the media and their lemmings? Also what ever happened to teleconferencing? 11. Actually I call it "Liberal arrogance" and it happens all the time up here north of the border. The Liberals have always assumed that they had the ethnic voters in their pockets and in doing so proceeded to alienate these very same people. Turns out some of these ethnic voters are hard working tax payers and they got sick of the Liberal entitlement attitude and jumped ship over to the ever so hated Conservative ranks. To this day it is hilarious watching a Liberal squirm when a person of a visible ethnic heritage does not consume the Liberal "Natural Governing Kool-Aid". Will Liberals ever learn that it's not someone's race, their gender or their age that matters. What counts is their qualifications and what they bring to the job. 12. I am in complete agreement with you here and this is where American politics fails it's people, or was it that the American people allow their politics to fail themselves. The more qualified candidates (Romney and Paul) get disqualified based on their religious beliefs while the Christian (Palin) potentially wins the nomination for all the wrong reasons. Unless Obama makes some major mistakes, the GOP will be handing Obama a 2nd term if he goes up against Palin. Did you know that a few weeks ago Calgary (arguably Canada's most conservative city) elected a Muslim to be North America's first city with a Muslim as mayor? Not once during the election campaign did Naheed Nenshi's religious beliefs become a big issue. I don't want to pat ourselves too much on our collective backs, but contrary to what other Canadians think of us, we here in Calgary tend to judge people based on their experience and what they may bring to the job more than judge them on their race, their gender and their religious beliefs. Of course the Obama/Nenshi comparisons are already being made which as far as I am concerned is a mistake. I wish people would stop thinking of politicians as their saviors. 13. Just because I dislike Hollywood does not give moderators the right to throw personal attacks at others here. I may not be the sharpest pencil in the box, but contrary to your accusation, I am not dull. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  14. Okay fundamentally I am having a hard time disagreeing with this, so let's try to get back on track with this thread. This thread is not about Obama (there are plenty of other threads for this topic). No this thread should be about who the 2012 GOP Presidential Nominee should be. Personally unless they are willing to throw away the election in 2012, I think Palin would be one of the worst people the GOP could pick. As you said earlier, Comedy Central would have a field day with her. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  15. Yes William Shakespeare and there is a major difference between him an the modern day Hollywood elites who seek to socially engineer society through their work. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

  17. - Veterans? Depending on the veteran, I would assume they would make excellent leadership candidates. There are a number of Canadian military veterans (yeah I know it's hard to imagine we have them) who possess excellent leadership skills. - Actors? ROFLMAO ... Arnold? Jessie Ventura? Were they really that good? Depending on your views, Reagan was either an anomaly with his leadership skills or he was just "El Diablo" to all those who strive for a communist/socialist society. No in most cases I don't view actors as the Gods some people view them as. But I have already stated my contempt for most (not all) of Hollywood's work. - Lawyers? Yikes ... one only needs to look at how bad Canadian politics has become to realize the vast majority of our politicians are lawyers. NOOOOOOOOOO ... lawyers are the worst!!! "First thing we must do is kill all the lawyers". Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  18. Good grief ... I guess you chose to ignore the part where I said people with actual real world business and government leadership experience that make the best candidates. Keep being the partisan hack that you are. We would not expect anything different from you. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  19. Well fine, let's focus on people's qualifications and not worry about the pretend world Hollywood and the main stream media play. Of course I am just some low life foreigner who is meddling in American politics here so whatever I say, it is largely irrelevant. But I am NOT in favor of Senators going on to become Presidents. In my low life not even worth listening to opinion, Senators who have never lead successful businesses and/or ran previous governments just do not have the leadership experience to be prez. Of course it is too late for the Messiah. For some reason this man with little leadership experience was marketed as the savior of the world and his lack of experience is showing now. Take the man's teleprompter away from him and he is lost. No this low life not worth listening to foreigner likes people who have real world leadership experience to be president. Successful State Governors meet that criteria. Now before we get into Palin being a Governor, well as far as I am concerned she is tainted. Not only has she been black marked by Hollywood and rest of the main stream media, she has also put her foot in her mouth far too many times. Nope I think we should be focusing on other Governors and what experience they bring to the table. It's not about your race, your gender or your religious beliefs. It's about what experience you bring to the table. Would you want a plumber doing open heart surgery on you? No? Then why was it okay for a community organizer to all of a sudden become the president? Isn't it a better idea to give the job to someone who already has successful lead a government before? Clinton was a Governor ... Now back to your regular scheduled partisan programming where the resident Hollywood moderator will be asking me why I am even posting here since I am not an American and have no right to meddle in American politics. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  20. As a fiscal conservative, I am 100% NOT in support for Sarah Palin to be the GOP nominee. She was only included here because she (and others) are found in the list of current candidates on the CNN website (kind of the middle of the road media source compared to MSNBC and FOX). As long as Obama does not make any major mistakes, I can't see Sarah Palin beating the messiah in 2012 and BillVon is 100% correct in that Comedy Central would have a field day if she was the nominee. If it's a female candidate they want, there has to be a better woman out there. But I always like choosing a candidate who is the most qualified (something Obama was not). I don't like voting for someone because of the color of their skin or their gender or their religious beliefs. No I like supporting someone who has actual real world leadership experience in the private as well as public sectors and who is not a easy target for the Hollywood elites to exploit. Personally I still think Mitt Romney is the one with this leadership experience and not someone Hollywood could easily exploit. But there is that Mormon thing ... and well I am just not sure the GOP will ever accept him because of his religious beliefs. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  21. As long as they are paying taxes and are not criminals, why shouldn't "legal non-citizen residents" be allowed to vote in municipal elections? I can understand why "non-citizens" should NOT be allowed to vote federally, but municipal elections are a totally different can of worms. Quite honestly (at least where I live) my municipal politicians screw me more than the politicians higher up the food chain. The universe is too big and beyond my comprehension for me to know for a fact that there IS or IS NOT a God. Because of this, I always will be agnostic (something completely different than being an atheist). Please respect my right to be totally confused as to the origins and depths of the universe and respect my right to reject man made religions. If we are the only ones in the universe, it is an awful waste of space. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  22. Well you know it has already started, so who should be the GOP's 2012 Presidential Nominee? I pulled these names from CNN and sorted them based on their last names. I have to admit there are a few on this list I do not know much about (Barbour, Pawlenty, Santorum and Thune) and a few on this list who I just can't see them beating Obama (Gingrich and Palin) as long as Obama doesn't make any major mistakes with his remaining 2 years. I like Ron Paul for his common sense, but he likely makes too much sense for the GOP to ever pick him and I like Mitt Romney because he has a proven track record running successful private businesses, a proven track record running a government and was rather successful turning the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics around. Mitt Romney has something Obama does not have, leadership experience. But will his religion (being a Mormon) be something the GOP can accept? I am guessing no, but I have been proven to be wrong in the past. So who is it going to be? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  23. Say it ain't so, is it true that South Carolina elected a female governor with East Indian heritage who happens to be a Republican? http://elections.msnbc.msn.com/ns/politics/2010/south-carolina/governor I thought only Democrats had a monopoly on minorities. How many times have Democrats told us that Republicans are nothing but Redneck males. I guess when a qualified candidate is presented to the electorate, the good people of South Carolina vote for the most qualified person versus voting for them purely based on the color of their skin and/or their gender. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  24. You know damn well the issues wasn't that Queen Pelosi got to travel on a private airplane (rational people realize that high level government officials need to travel segregated from the general public). No the issue was the type of airplane Queen Pelosi insisted on using. I am a little disappointed today, I was hoping the voting public had the chance to turf Queen Pelosi from office, but I see the mistake was my own as Pelosi's term was not up yet. She is still sitting near the front of the troughs piling her barrel with as much pork as will fit in it. No the only thing that happened was the crown on her head as the Queen has been removed. Well I guess beggars can't be choosy. At least the Queen is the Queen no more. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
