  1. This shooting never would have happened if the US government had complete control over the lives of everyone living in the nation. If only the America government could take control of every baby who is ever born the moment they are born. This way government childcare experts can examine these children from the youngest age and determine what skills they possess and then channel these children into various educational institutions for the betterment of all society. People who show the slightest sign of mental issues can be segregated from everyone else. In a complete state controlled society where government has total control over what the citizens are allowed to do, there would be no guns (expect for those who were identified from the youngest age as ideal personalities for law enforcement personel) and there would be no shootings. It would be the nirvana socialistic state everyone dreams of where the betterment of society would trump all other rights. The sooner the world adopts global communism the sooner shootings like this would a thing of the past. But there is one problem here. This isn't the line for food we are standing in. It is the line for shoes. Comrade, the line for food starts over there. - end sarcasm. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  2. The crash of 2001? Don't you mean when the dot-com bubble began to burst. Sorry the dot-com bubble began to burst in 1999 not 2001. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  3. Good point ... maybe this is one of those rare times the Motherland got it right? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  4. In celebration of the unedited "Money for Nothing" marathon I am thinking of having a fag today. The problem is I get sick whenever I suck on fags. You have to go back to high school (more the 25 years for me) for the last time I sucked on a fag. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8OuOLfH1vI Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  5. Looks like the radio station is fighting back. They say they are planning to play a unedited "Money for Nothing" marathon. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/nova-scotia/story/2011/01/14/ns-money-for-nothing-marathon.html Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  6. Has political correctness gone too far? The "Canadian Broadcast Standards Council" says the 1985 Dire Straits song "Money For Nothing" contravenes the human rights clauses of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters' Code of Ethics and Equitable Portrayal Code. Last year, a listener to radio station CHOZ-FM in St. John's complained that the '80s rock song includes the word "faggot" in its lyrics and is discriminatory to gays. So the CBSC has ruled that the song must be edited if it ever to be played again on the Canadian airways. Has political correctness gone too far? Is it time to go back an censor anything and everything that might offend [insert your favorite special interest group here]. Or is the CBSC doing the right thing and you do approve of the ruling. http://www.cbc.ca/arts/music/story/2011/01/13/money-for-nothing-radio-play-censor.html Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  7. I could never rely on solar power for all 12 months of the year. There is this funny cold white stuff that keeps falling from the sky from October through May (sometimes even June). It keeps piling up every where around me (tons of snow on the roof of my home, can't even tell where you are walking). Nope I am afraid that if I relied on solar power to keep myself warm, I would freeze to death. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  8. they might want to consider renaming the event I saw "24 Hours of Lemons" pretty much without trying at all and my reading eyesight is still pretty good Well no need to worry about confusing the event with lemons since the official name is actually: "24 HEURES DU MANS" "24 Hours of Lemans" is just for us English speaking folks who can't understand the French. 9. There is an "artist" in Toronto who uses a gun as his brush and a target as his canvass. Unfortunately despite his talents (he is good), there are still people who view him as some potential homicidal maniac who should have his tools seized. Art only works when you approve of the art. The moment someone disapproves of your art, they demand that you be censored. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  10. There is a hybird car I pine for, but I can't buy it right now. Not only would it be out of my price range, but it is also NOT available to the general public. But it is bad ass and it is the first step toward producing some serious bad ass hybrids in the future. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esWT--TE3ww This car has already been successful in some endurance races and in a year or two it will debut at the "24 Hours of Lemans" where it will be a serious contender to win it's class. I cream my jeans thinking about this hybrid (well maybe not, but you get the idea). Some hybrids are cool Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  11. I don't know if this is true or not (since I have no personal experience in this research domain), but there are scientists who are saying the ocean levels are lower today that what they were several hundred years ago. Antarctica's ice is going anywhere. It's just too cold down there to melt it all. Even if some Arctic ice melts it will be balanced out by the Antarctica's ice. Besides even though I don't get to experience it, from a selfish point of view I say "Global Warming" is good for Canada (sucks to be you in So Cal ... jaja). I am tired of living with snow and ice for half of the year. We have tons of water up here and tons of land to grow food on. If America was smart it would conquer Canada since Canada and Russia (with all their natural resources) will soon be the place to be if the "Global Warming" hype ever happens. PS: I am not a climate scientist so I am not an authority on the subject. But I have been developing computer software for more then 25 years now and this I do know. Computers only do what you tell them to do. It is rather concerning that much of the evidence on this whole "Climate Change" debate is based on computer models. Computers are not mother nature. It's almost like people who believe everything these computers tell them are also people who would believe they had a chance in online gambling. Computers are incredibly stupid. They only do what you tell them to do. They just do it really really fast. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  12. Actually what is lame is that you refuse to acknowledge that there is "hate and vitriol" on the Left. Oh and before you go ballistic on this statement. There is "hate and vitriol" on the Right as well. Does anyone remember the scene in the movie Do the Right Thing where people from all sides are slamming each other before "Mister Senor Love Daddy" (Samuel L Jackson) intervenes with: "Yo, hold up, timeout, timeout!, y'all take a chill, you need to cool that shit out, and that's the double truth ... ruth" For those who do not know this sequence you can see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zigyHzrFrVI&feature=related fast forward to the 7:40 mark and watch the sequence until the 9:25 mark. We don't need Obama sugar coating things with his politically correct speeches. We need Senor Love Daddy on the job. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  13. It's not a bad idea. I did NOT grow up in the US's gun culture some obviously I am coming at this from a different angle, but last year I took a "firearms handling and safety course" up here in Canada and it was excellent. They had me handling all different types of firearms teaching me how they all worked and teaching me how to prove that they were all safe to handle. Then at the end of the course they gave me a theoretical written exam (a mark of 80% was needed to pass the written exam) followed by a hands on practical examine where the instructor asked you to prove to them that you knew how to safely handle the different types of firearms. I am all for mandatory training and examines to prove you know the material. But as I said I did not grow up in the US gun culture so I am coming at this from a different angle. I do know that many of the "anti" gun people up here in Canada have little to no exposure to firearms and I cringe every time they enter into the political debate concerning firearms since they often do not know the actual firearms laws and regulations. We saw this just this last fall when our Bill C-391 (the bill to end the Long Gun Registry) was defeated by our opposition politicians who allowed the media to spew nothing but lies about the actual firearms laws to the uneducated public. If the public actually knew the existing laws and regulations then they would have understood that nobody was trying to take away the mandatory training, mandatory examination, mandatory background checks, mandatory storage and transportation regulations. All that they were trying to do was end the useless registration of hunting rifles and shotguns that are presently classified as "non-restricted" firearms. But the general public believes everything the media wants them to believe. So the opposition politicians won this battle and people in Canada who are dumb enough to register their firearms are now second class citizens thanks to the Liberals Bill C-68 which allows the police to enter the homes of registered firearms owners anytime that they want without a search warrant all to ensure that the firearms that are said to be owned by the registered person are in compliance with the laws. Oh and by the way the Bill C-68 is so fucked up (thank you Liberals), there is nothing stating in it that the firearm must be stored in one specific residence. So the police can raid any location they want without a search warrant that a known registered firearms user could frequent. How fucked up is that? 14. Because I an NOT a "Climate Change Religious" follower, I find humor in the video you posted. Of course the "Climate Change Religious" people will not find humor in it. But there was a documentary video on YouTube that was in the related videos list next to the video you posted. This video was recorded from the CBC (I am actually shocked it aired on the CBC as they are one of the biggest "Climate Change" pushers around). but nevertheless at some point in time the CBC did air this documentary (good on them) someone recorded it and posted it on YouTube. If people can spare 44 minutes of their life they should watch it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzZdAfx37d8&feature=related oh and by all means watch this video and please watch Al Gore's Hollywood Academy award winning movie at the same time. I don't think it matters if people watch this documentary first and then watch Al Gore's movie or visa-versa. The message here is make sure you get your media from more than one source. To only listen to one source is a mistake. If people believe in evolution they will know life on this planet has adapted over billions of years as the planet has changed. Life one million years from now will be very different just as it will be very different one billion years from now. But life will exist on this planet one billion years from now. Life will find a way to evolve to an ever changing planet no matter what dooms day scenario Al Gore and the rest of Hollywood wants you to believe. Life on this planet will only cease to exist when that big ball in the sky 93 million miles away from us burns up. That is when life on planet earth will cease to exist. I wonder if Hollywood is planning on making a movie about that event? Probably not since it would not fit into the their social engineering agenda. 15. Not so sure about that. Aviation in Europe is incredibly expensive. Maybe China will be the place to jump? But be prepared if you land out. You could end up to your neck in some toxic sludge. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

  17. Not really ... http://www.cbc.ca/weather/s0000047.html You see it started snowing in late October and short of a few days when some chinook winds from the mountains blew in, it has stayed pretty much this way ever since. I fully expect it to stay cold with snow until April or May, maybe even June. This is normal for us. It has always been cold this time of year, and it will continue to stay cold. Hey I heard some lobby groups were trying to bring in a "Cash for your Mooney" program? Shouldn't you be flying some modern electric (or solar) powered airplane instead of that 1950s gas guzzler of yours? Don't you care about the environment? Or are you one of those "Do as I say, not as I do" peeps. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  18. Zeitgeist is an interesting story. Some of it is believable and some of it kind of is a little too far fetched. But there is definitely a lot of anarchists these days preaching some sort of Zeitgeist and Mr Loughner appears just to be one of many. Of course one who went too far as far as rational people are concerned. I am still curious to find out (if we ever do find out) why he has wanted Ms Giffords dead. Why her? She is a politician but hardly someone closely connected to the Fed. His history with her dates back to 2007, possibly even earlier. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  19. Come on America, fess up. This story about a man holding up a local 7-11 store in the middle of the night with a snow scrapper has you jealous. You too can have your own "Snow Scrapper" bandit if you wanted. Now what I don't get, is look at the picture. The dude is wearing nothing more than a short sleeve golf shirt, sweat pants and runners. WTF ... the temperatures last night were in the -20C (-4F) range with the windchill making it feel like -30C (-22F) and the dude is wearing a short sleeve shirt? He must have a good heater in his car (assuming that is where his snow scrapper came from), be on good drugs, or both. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  20. I agree, I thought it was tasteless. But some in the Liberal Party of Canada thought it was so funny they posted it on their official party website in December of 2009. We are not talking about some fringe website here. This is an official political party that wants to form government. It's the equivalent of the Republicans or Democrats posting such a picture on their official websites. So you are asking the wrong person here. Ask the Liberals why they posted it. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  21. Maybe they can use this. Oops, my bad. Liberals already used it. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  22. It just goes to show how utterly ridiculous the media is when they have an agenda. The media was completely irresponsible in their rush to place blame before any facts or evidence was known in this latest AZ shooting. The media is all to happy to throw live bodies into a burning wreck if it gets them closer to realizing their agenda. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

  24. YES he is mentally disturbed, and rather unfortunate he was able to use a firearm in his crime spree. It is definitely not something law abiding firearms owners wanted to see happen. I don't know about you, but instead of focusing on the inanimate tool used in his crimes, I am more curious to find out why he has hated Ms Giffords for several years now and wanted her dead with his premeditated assassination attempt. I could be wrong, but I am fairly confident his motives are not what the media wants us to believe (that Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck and/or Rush Limbuagh are to blame for his actions). Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  25. Oh and as a follow up, in Canada people who register their legally obtained firearms are 2nd class citizens who are not covered by Canada's "Charter of Rights and Freedoms". How can I say this? Simple, by registering your firearm you have now given the police the right to enter your property without a search warrant anytime they want to enter. You can thank the Liberal Party of Canada and Allen Rock (author of their beloved Bill C-68) for turning law abiding firearms owners in Canada into 2nd class citizens. Sure is nice to know that Liberals feel it is perfectly acceptable for the police to be able to enter your home anytime they want without a search warrant all because you were stupid enough to add your name to their 2 billion dollar database.
