    I never really liked Ellen's work too much.......but now that I've been unemployed for 6 weeks, I've had numerous chances to catch her show. She's actually pretty damn funny. I've never watched Oprah, but I'm sure Ellen gets more laughs.

    That's logical, given ND already plays 65% of its games against the Big Ten, but it ain't gonna happen. They've already been invited at least 3 times that I know of, but after seeing what happened to Penn State, they want no part of it. Maybe a few more seasons like this one, and NBC will drop their contract, then they'll HAVE to join, from an economic standpoint. Personally, I wouldn't want a Big Ten champship game, because the traditional Michigan-Ohio State game would probably be dropped, since those two would likely be put in seperate divisions. A fluke loss to an Illinois or a Wisconsin might negate a UM-OSU head-to-head matchup. I'd rather kick Indiana, Minnesota, and Northwestern out of the conference.

    I think you can remove the 'somewhat'. I just thought of a new playoff system. Play 6 conference games to start with, then all 117 or whatever Div I schools get seeded and have a playoff. Everybody's happy. As teams get knocked out, they get to play in the Roady's Carquest Humanitarian Motor City Tangerine Bowl or such. It makes as much sense as this BCS crap.
