Austin -- I know a few people who have went from Tri to Hornet, and they rave about them as much as I do. I couldn't be happier with the performance I get (190 loaded @ 1.3:1).....soft openings, on-heading, very quick and agile, surfs well and has great flare. Steve1 -- I get consistently good openings on mine.....I pro-pack, fold over the 4 outermost cells towards the center (leaving the center cell alone), just let the nose hang (don't stuff it), quarter the slider, then roll the tail 4 times. Easy openings in 400-600 feet. Don

Just got back to this thread. Jim, please don't attribute things to me that I didn't say. If you read my post, it was filled with "I dids" or "I woulds" ----not a single "you should" or "everyone should". The original question was "What would you do", and I answered to that. I would never presume to tell someone what to do based on my "vast" knowledge of 92 jumps.....just stating what I would do, or did. Thanks. There are too many strong minds and opinions for us all to ever agree 100% on any subject. Like most people, I try to assimilate all the knowledge I can before making a decision. Unfortunately, jumping sometimes only gives you one chance to get it right.....tough sport. Asking questions and getting feedback from various viewpoints is always good, but once you're licensed, the decision is always going to rest with you, good or bad. Don

Dom looked pretty good the last 4 games against Vancouver, but he looked AWESOME last night.....Roy made some great saves, too. Wings in 6. I'd like to see a Detroit - Toronto final......2 of the Original Six. And gravity.....thanks for the beer ! I'll take a wahine next !

1 (got off watching Detroit kick Colorado's ass) : 2 : 0 Got invited to swoop SkymonkeyOne's tandem jump, but got low and couldn't get back up. I was climbing all over that beach ball, too..... You shoulda seen the girl that was strapped onto his lap.....WOW ! When I grow up, I wanna be a tandem master....

How do you feel about a lawsuit brought against you for false advertising ? I looked for the "Naked Xmas Pics" but couldn't find them. (but then I went to www.Jessica.com and was entertained.)

I broke steering lines twice on deployment on my old canopy (PD-230 at 1:1.1). Both times had a slight built-in turn, and both times I landed it with rear risers.....this is something I practice with every jump up high, and I felt confident doing so. I just waited an extra half-second before flaring (the 4 "Oh Shit" rule instead of the 3 "Oh Shit" rule)
