  1. I don't have time to reasearch the laws of all 50 states but my favorite knife that I own is a BladeTech Pro Hunter designed by Tim Wegner. It is a folder with an overall length of 8.5" and a blade length of 3.5. I is legal for me to carry in ever state I have lived and in the 5 Midwest states that I currently cover for work. It is actually illegal in the state that I currently reside if I "carry with the intent to use unlawfully." That is not my intention. Is this knife legal over there? Could I whip it out to open some boxes in front of an officer like I could over here without problems? Just curious That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! 3. I have lived most of my life with the exception of the last few years off of Hydro power. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  4. I have had great luck on Gunbroker.com and many people I know have also had really good dealings on both gunbroker and gunsamerica. I think your situation is far from common That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  5. This may sound obvious but since you asked.... There is really no way to know how the show is going to be. I was at a two day show on the last day a couple of years ago that was so slow vendors were having trouble covering their table fees. This was normally a pretty good show but for whatever reason had a lousy turnout. I was there to buy a shotgun and had several dealers almost begging me to buy from them. I had one guy leave his table to find me on the floor and offer me a older Winchester semi auto 12 ga. for $100 On the other hand if the show is busy and you are their looking for something in particular you may get screwed. You can often get great deal the last few hours of the show if you are flexible with your purchase. In your case I would not advise waiting. 6. The Fact is that Chicago has one of the highest murder rates in the Country, and the Fact is that they have some of the most strict Gun laws in the country. It was only a couple years ago (2003?) that they had more murders than LA and New York which had a much larger population. Is Chicago really that proud of their Murder rate now? 7. I can't get real excited about whisky I can not even get, so I will just take your word that it is great with no intentions of ever having it. What you take on Glenfarclas? I had some recently(25) and thought it was delicious, but I would not normal spend the $$ for it. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! 8. Rabies shots are not a big deal. Not at all. I would not kill a strange dog soley for the fear of getting bitten and needing a few shots. And as others mentioned, it is not hard to break up a fight between two dogs. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  9. Glad your not my neighbor Gee...Really? I don't think you need to tell me Anything about responsible pet ownership. And it's my yard. If you don't want to pet him or have him run to you wagging his tail, stay the fuck out of my yard. People who can't or will not train their dogs yet keep them behind a "secure" fence make them more responsible then me? Pathetic. Freakin' Pathetic. 10. What the hell does that matter? Should I be expected to keep my dog behind a secure fence to ward of other animals? I live on the main road into a subdivision and my dog roams around in my front yard daily. Sometimes he just lies down and watches cars go by. I should not have to lock him up because others have vicious dogs. I have had other dogs get loose and come in the yard and play with my dog. Shit happens. Most dogs are friendly If a dog did attack my dog I would not grab a gun though. Still I don't understand why I should have to keep my dog behind a fence. 11. Absolutely tBullshit. Out to Mabey 200(100 for sure) yards this cartridge is very suitable for whitetail. Many people hunt in heavy cover where a shot over 50 yards is not possible. Many deer have been brought down over the years with a cheap SKS. I have shot many deer with a 30-30 which does not have much better ballistics. I could take an AK-47(I don't own or have any interest in owning one) and stalk deer out in heavy cover where I hunt and not be limited by the cartridge one bit. Next your going to tell us that my Hoyt V-tech(Bow) is good for almost nothing because YOU can't take 1000 yard pot shots with it? I find it funny that someone with as poor of Hunting Ethics as yourself can claim that the 7.62x39mm is good for almost nothing. What's up with that? Of course Amazon was right that it is a poor choice for protection against Bear. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.

  14. I know what the defintion of an Heirloom is. I never claimed it was not an Heirloom either. I said that it is not what I(repeat I) would consider a "Family Heirloom" Regardless of defintion of an Heirloom, many people would not consider their late Fathers brand new car a "Family Heirloom" You never told us how far off it shot from POA at what yardage you were shooting at. BTW what caliber was this firearm? They make it in several. At any rate alot of people disrespect Taurus but that is nice handgun.. I plan on picking up a Taurus Tracker in .17 hmr. 15. Practice. You give us no indication of how often you shoot a handgun. It is very common for shooters to have POI left of POA. Make sure you are squeezing the trigger straight back not pushing it with the end of you finger. If it is the sights so what? I would do neither of what you suggest. Just keep shooting and be proud of you tight group. Why the hostility??? I shot a Browning Buckmark at a Local Firearms dealer in March that was not on paper at 25 Yard. I could not see where I was hitting and thought I must have been placing the entire mag in the black. Imagine my surprise when I pulled the target back. I shot at 10 yards and had a group just on the edge of the right side of the paper. The front sight was all the way pushed over to the right trying to compensate but something was wrong with the gun. I laughed and let them know when I returned the firearm. I didn't get angry over it though btw the Taurus Raging Bull has not been around long enough to be what I would consider an "Family Heirloom" edited to add: It appears as though the Raging bull was introduced in it original chambering in 1998 That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! 16. Total state taxes paid/ population right? It sure does not show which state an individual pay's the most taxes in. Back to my comments about WI and IL. Illinois has a flat 3% state sales tax. I don't think that WI lowest bracket is that low. It would cost me much more in sales tax to move across the border. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! 17. Wisconsin I typically close to the top 5 in Tax burdens by state. Illinios is between 28-37 depending on which survey I have seen.(I have lived the majority of my life in Illinois and Wisconsin.) This graph does not represent which State you pay the most taxes in well at all. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  18. I am thinking you just have to be joking? I put around 45k driving that route to customers in IN or MI. Jammed up at 1 AM. Never. I was just through there last week at around 1 AM coming back from Valpo. Are you intentionaly misleading? What time of the day do you travel the Dan Ryan? 19. Whatcha talking about? Edited to add I see you caught your mistake and changed your position in your next post. Sorry. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  20. It is not fair to compare the construction on 80/94 to the Dan Ryan project. Not even close. Your intentions are good but trust those that still live here and drive it when we say to take 294. I love the Skyway but it is too much of a gamble now. Think Risk/Reward. I Drive that stretch of 80/94 on Friday quite a bit. So long as timing is good there is not much of a problem. 21. Wrong. Things have changes since you moved. Last year IN voted to adopt daylight savings time. And as I discussed via PM to the OP, the Dan Ryan is under one of the biggest construction renovations in US history. Two weeks ago I would not have argued your route. I routinly travel back from Michigan, Ft. Wayne or Elkhart County IN on Friday afternoon. I always go before rush hour rather than wait until late at night. Now you could get away with the f'd up Dan Ryan by going as late as you suggest, but they are down from 7 lanes to 4. Have you ever been through that area with 3 lanes closed? I don't think they have ever had 3 lanes closed since the Dan Ryan was built. The 294 bypass is great. It is not like it takes you out of the way my much like the loops in some cities. It just runs out and parallels 94. The fact that he does not have an IPass sucks though. Things have changed since you left. How do you like the weather? 22. I take 69 to 80 from Ft. Wayne to Chicago. It is a lot further this way though. 80 is a toll road but you just pick up a ticket when you get on and pay where it ends. There is never any lines at the two tolls you will hit. Make sure you do not take 94 thru Chicago. Take the 294 bypass to 94(WI) to 20 west in Racine. The airport is right off of 20. Just turn as you pass and you can not miss it. The Skyway is an option but the Dan Ryan is tore up for the next few years so I would not chance it unless you are going through in the middle of the night. Friday traffic can really suck this time of year. Early afternoon is pretty vague. Timing is everything getting through Chicago. I travel through on Friday's frequently from that way. You can do everything right and still get stuck. That said I have had real good luck working around traffic. Pm me if you have questions. 23. I started waterskiing at 4, slaloming at 7 and barefooting after that. I could have come up with a story or two....but not after that post. Good Job! That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  24. I could not pick a favorite beer. The best I could do would be a favorite for each style. ie. IPA, stout, Porter, Lager, ect. Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA one of my favorites though. It just happens to be what I am drinking tonight and later this afternoon. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  25. Excluding fingers and ribs I have broke the following outside skydiving Clavical (three times) 1st time on bmx Left navicular twice Left Radius and Ulna ( Just short on a new SX triple, trying to be the first to try it in muddy/slippery conditions. Never crashed but heavy impact into the face of landing) Shattered right ankle (open reduction/internal fixation) Rebroke ankle years later training for a Sno-x race. (open reduction/ internal fixation) Right scapula (shoulder blade) - Trees are hard! Ttibial Plateau (internal fixation/open reduction) Ouch! This knee may replaced someday. Still recovering. Lots of soft tissue in addition to the break which was heavily displaced. Taken out by a slower rider I was lapping while leading an MX race less than a week before my wedding. Broken vertebrae in neck. Did not know I broke it until years later when I had a spinal x-ray for issues I was having. I could of happend from one of many Backwards barefoot crashes I had without the proper neckbrace. I destroyed my neck learning this trick longline. Think Safety Gear! As far a skeletal fractures this is all. Other ligamentous injuries from various sports. Nothing skydive related. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue!
