Because you never hear about the .50 cal used in crimes. It is a very expensive heavy large gun that really has no place in criminal activity. Some people just like to shot up things. Just to clarify for those not living in the US. It is not very hard to buy a supressor in the US unless you live in a state which they are not allowed. I have no idea what Darius11 means by "very hard to get" but I must assume he is speaking for his specific state. Except if it is legal to purchase them I am not sure what could make it so difficult. You will need to pay the $250 stamp and be approved but that is more of waiiting period than anything. Figure 30 to as much as 60 days to get issued.
