I don't see the need to seperate them. I jump and surf myself and see them as two different things. Who knows, maybe its the long board talkin'. (9' board w/9" fin) Take some time to "decompress" from the trip. We have all had bad days on the beach and likewise at the DZ. Both on the same trip is sure to bring you down a bit.
