Are you allowing your browser to load the animated gif? Or are you downloading the file and using some other view application? If I load this in an image viewer that does not recognise animated images I get the first image only. I have loaded this on two computers and it views fine. Of course I may have something else going on here???? Can someone else simply doubleclick on the image to load it in the browser please... ------- D.T. Holder SIMstudy

Another skydiver asked me the following question concerning the downloading of the SIMstudy. I thought this was worth sharing: REPLY: If you are using Internet Explorer you will be asked (by your system) if you would like to OPEN the file or SAVE AS. If you choose SAVE then your system will most likely run a virus check on the new file. IF now then you should be able to force this scan. (I don't know what Anti-Virus software you run? I use TrendMicros PC-cillin) The installation program will only copy the incapsulated files to a directory of your choice. There is NOTHING added to your systems registry and there are not "hidden" files placed anyware on your computer. (I dislike programs that do that junk) There will also be an Uninstall icon in this directory (and in the start menu group) so that if you don't like the program, , you can delete the entire program off your drive. ------- D.T. In an effort to help others study for their "A" license, I offer the following: The SkyDiveTaft SIM2003 study aid. - www.skiosk-esd.com/skydive/sdtaft.exe This application is based on the current USPA SIM2003 categories A through H. User may select the number of questions and to have them Randomized or Ordered. The system also grades your performance. Finally there is a section on hand signals. OK, where to begin. I have my A license. To get this I, like everyone, had to take an oral quiz administered by one of my instructors. (make that great instructors) This quiz covers the USPA SIM categories A through H. Simple right? As I studied for the quiz I had friends and family ask me the questions and I would answer but his is not how I learn the best. To this I decided to write down all the questions and the answers. Of course being a programmer it really meant type all the questions/answers. Well before I know it I had a program that would display the question and the answer. This turned out to be just like the SIM manual and I was back to square one. (the beginning, not the www.square1.com). So, I add a ton of fake wrong answers and, now I have a program that quizes me. By the time I reached this point I had passed my test but with some additional input I also had a nice program that I thought others (like my friends at DropZone) could use. ummmm, I know a bit about welding I guess. I hold a Certified Welding Inspector certification with the American Welding Society. (does that count ) cert # 97080671 I also held Level II certification in Radiography. (AKA X-Ray technician) All of this means that I have the ability to say "professionally", Looks great to me!!!

AFF with video. Why? If I liked it, and I thought I would, then I would be on my way. If I did not like it then the video would be my reminder of why... On my AFF1 my radio died. I PLF'd myself directly onto the end of the old (torn to @#$^) runway directly on the big "X" with a cross wind landing. It was this or the barbed wire fence. Easy choice really. ------- D.T.
