LOL we use a limo of sorts... Its an old hearse (maybe a 72') that has has the roof cut back and a mess awning installed. With the low, bumper height, opening in the rear its very easy to get into. There are bench seats on both sides and where the rear seat use to be. Not to mention we tend to sit on whats left of the roof which now only covers the front seat area. Needless to say it is funny to tell first time jumpers to "Get into the hearse." ------- D.T. Holder SIMstudy

OK, I should achieve my first license (yes I know, BEER) next weekend. I have begun the mind boggling task of looking for my first rig. (beer) Of course like all things the older the equipement the cheaper it is. My basic question is this: At what point is the age of the gear a real issue? I mean I value my life and want to protect it. On the other hand I can save some serious cash on older equipement. Thanks in advance to all that offer advice. DTOXX

A lot of drop zones use pea gravel (very small sized gravel) for the landing target site. This is commonly referred to as the peas. ------- D.T. Holder SIMstudy

hmm I have attempted to write this about 4 times but each time is sounded like I was looking for simpathy. Rest assured I am not. I last saw my "sperm donor" (love that one) at the age of 6. On my mothers 4th, out of 5, marriage I had myself emancipated at the age of 17. Last saw my mother in 1996 at my grandfathers funeral. My wife of 16 years has NEVER met my mother. I do know she lives somewhere in Arizona but... Surfice to say we are not close.

Ok which one of you Lucky Ladies is gonna take me to there Tent at Eloy?

LOL nice one JT... Lets see, 2837.4 miles from my city to Dove's. Speed limit of 65 (ignored due to improper thoughts), real speed of say 90. Gas mileage of 20 per gallon puts me at about 9 gas stops at 10 minutes each... ETA for a premo rump viewing would be (hmmm carry the 2...) 34 hours on the road. Somehow I doubt I would be worth anything once I got there. Of course you could take a picture to keep me motivated. -

Well at least he only had to follow me around for ONE DAY to make that entire list. #25 You need an MSCE, NET+, and A+ certification to work on your own car. ------- D.T. Holder SIMstudy

LOL Living in California and being in the oil industry there is a fair amount of "feuding" between the natives and Texans. At my fathers funeral, in Killeen Texas, I was single handedly able to bring an entire bar to a stone cold silence. It seemed that the George Stait song "All my Ex's live in Texas" was playing and I like others began to sing along. Well again being a Californian just had to take the oppurtunity to make a little dig. In the main line of the song which again is "All my Ex's live in Texas", I sang (as loud as possible) "All my Ex's are different sexes." You could have heard a pin drop... My ass was then threatened to be kicked. I however was with most of my family at the time and well in the end it was explained that I did not know any better. I mean its not like I picked on their mothers or anything... ------- D.T. Holder SIMstudy

Does anyone know an expected arrival date for the World Freefall Convention DVD's (or VHS tapes)? Living way too far away, and the lack of money, has forced me to live this event vicariously. Or once I get my DVD I will that is... ------- D.T. Holder SIMstudy

I love that whole "in bed" bit. At my 30th birthday party we had a huge bowl of fortune cookies and a sign to add "in bed" at the end. The bowl was empty in an hour. Best fortune = "That was not chicken." ------- D.T. Holder SIMstudy

For light reading I like Piers Anthony (Apprentice Adept and Xanth series) and for deep scifi I like Orson Scott Card (Enders Game series) ------- D.T. Holder SIMstudy
