If it's so easy to create a self sustaining system then he could throw one into earth orbit with no problem. There are no resources CURRENTLY HARVESTABLE on Mars that could be used to sustain or financially support the project, therefore it doesn't matter where he puts this thing.     Either is serviceable. If you can get them to demo, there's nothing more you can learn from the internet. Otherwise, I personally wouldn't go with the Sabre because there's just too much history of sloppy packing turning into a real spanker of an opening.     I didn't see the cost anywhere but my gut (as a mechanical engineer in the building industry) is that it's a gimmick for wealthy people with environmental/western guilt. I do think it's an interesting concept to reheat the water, that's a very valid point. Overall there are better ways of conserving water and energy. I don't like things like this because on such a small scale their inefficiency and imbued energy eclipses any positive global impact. You'll do much more with low-flow fixtures and shorter showers.     Go to your dz and tell several people per day that you're trying to learn proficiency and will pack for free. You'll get a lot of experience with different rigs and jumpers and they'll start throwing money at you soon enough. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

    One problem with buying new straight away is that you haven't been in the sport long enough to know what you really prefer; you may realize that your rig is too big for the canopy you're going to jump for the long term or there's a rig option that want. The best thing gay athletes could do is bring home gold, their success and subsequent fame is what will bring support. Boycotting the events will only achieve what Putin wants.
