    I don't understand how Bill Paxton gets into such good movies considering the rubbish like this that he usually rolls around in. A remake would be great. In fact it would be a good franchise.     My $20 rubber boots from Agway aren't cutting it, as in regardless of arch support my feet feel like shit. I'm a brewer and work on a concrete floor that tears the tread out of anything in a few months, need a steel toe, and my feet constantly get soaked with wet grain, beer, and sugar water.     Actually there are 2 versions of the Dino de Laurentis' production. The original theatrical version directed by David Lynch and a more in depth version with same cast but different director, Alan Smithee. Ah yes, old Alan Smithee. He's done some phine qwerk.     I haven't seen the new one but wasn't impressed with what I saw. Maybe if I got into it. I take the original movie to be something based upon the book. There's just too much mythology to fit into a movie so I'll forgive that. If it were not anyone other than Lynch and Dino de Laurentis then it would've been stripped to nothing.     What's the deal with not being able to hear anything even though the computer and application sound levels are set to 100%? Of note, I believe it's when the audio is set to a certain level in one application (youtube, online porn) and then I open up another app and I'm stuck at a low volume.
