Guys, what if Kim Jong Un started taunting Trump about how he's not going to get a parade. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Well, you have proved over and over here you do have a very active imagination. Hey Rush, what do you think of Trump sending Tweets during his intelligence briefings? "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

They're colluding with Jesus. Edit: I was going to go for a communioning joke but it 3PM and my brain is fried. Collummunioning? "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Rush, is the Papadopolous leak fake that Nunes said triggered the investigatioon? Are the emails sent by Trump Jr. fake in which he arranges a meeting with various Russians? "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Yes, but only in a footnote. Nobody could be expected to read a footnote. Those things aren't really important are they? Can't expect a judge to read any of that stuff. Not to mention that later FISA warrants were granted under Trump appointees when everyone knew exactly what the Steele Dossier was. Carter Page may have been waiving a flag that he was trying to cozy promote himself as a willing voice for Russian interests in US affairs. That doesn't inherently make what he was doing bad, it's called diplomacy but the way he was doing it raised many many eyebrows. https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2018/02/03/carter-page-nunes-memo-216934 "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

I was thinking about this awhile back. It's just one more reason that I'm really glad that I'm happily married. If I were dating now I'd have to ask that awkward question before we got anywhere near intimate. "Do you now, or have you ever, had a penis?" What, you've never had to pull a "Mick Dundee"? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHTPLpY8mBI "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher -
Checked the score online a couple of times. Wasn't a priority for me. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Its not that hard to connect the dots. Start at 1:20 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtqIiYRm0XI I gotta ask because I don't know you but is that joke? I don't know you either. Was it Saturday Night Live? Then, it wasn't a joke. Ok, this was the same source a friend of mine used trying to make a point and I traced the reporter and it turned out he was a 22-year-old Russian writer of RT. The guy in the one you posted looks he's shooting from the basement of his frat-house and had to scramble to wipe the sharpie marks off his face before they rolled video. Edit: And by the way, not being on SNL isn't a very good metric for proving truth or falsehood. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

A VERY IMPORTANT PART OF THIS DISCUSSION. There are some canopies that ball up in the center a bit more when you pack them or for whatever reason do not fill out the corners of the D-bag. You absolutely should double stow at least those outside locking stows if you gear is like this. As someone already stated, an out of sequence opening can kill you or severely injure you and this HAS happened. NOBODY has every died after properly cutting away from a bag log. WUPS!!! This is better placed in the Russiagate thread but it really is such a stand-alone thing that I think it deserves its own moment. Trump's supporters have been pointing at the "fake dossier" for a long time in an effort to refute the investigation. http://thehill.com/policy/national-security/372043-memo-papadopoulos-info-triggered-fbis-russia-investigation "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

He's not the only one. I have a friend who even things that National Review is RINO and leaning towards the Left. He believes the FBI is controlled by Deep State Operatives. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Even Donald Trump himself got suckered into the vast left wing conspiracy when he said that Flynn had lied to the FBI. Not Rush though, he's too smart to get fooled by that liberal make believe. Don't forget that Tillerson called Trump a "moron" so he's just as bad as the FBI agents who called him an "idiot". "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Well, yes and no. Apparently, Trump told a minion to fire Mueller. The minion said he would quit before doing so. This, all by itself is not 'obstruction of justice.' Just like the firing of Comey wasn't, all by itself. BUT... If Trump intended to hamper, or eliminate altogether, the investigation into Russia's interference with the election and the collusion of the Trump campaign with Russian nationals, then it is obstruction. Seeing as Trump asked Comey specifically to 'make the investigation go away' and fired him when he wouldn't, that would go a long way towards proving obstruction. If Trump can be shown to say anything like "I want that investigation stopped. Fire Mueller so that the investigation goes away", then that would go a long way towards proving intent. One or two instances of this sort of behavior, one or two witnesses testifying that Trump made incriminating statements will not prove intent or obstruction. However, I have a 'funny feeling' that there will be a lot more than 'one or two.' We're on the same page. From the history so far it'll be hard to pin anything not in writing and we know that nobody cares about the words that come out of his mouth. He's basically written a preemptive precedent that what he says has no bearing in reality whether it's that he could kill someone in the middle of the street, sexually assault someone, provide direct aid to Iranian protesters... My political group text thread is asking the exact same thing in the most mustache twisting sort of way. Anyway here's a writeup from the National Review that the conspiracy theory set can sink their teeth into. http://www.nationalreview.com/article/454493/steele-dossier-fbi-trump-should-disclose-warrant-applications "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

I'm not addressing the issue of being delusional. I'm agreeing with Rush that there isn't any teeth to an accusation that Trump ordering someone fired is indictable as obstruction. Trump can yell and cry all he wants about who he wants to fire and in the case of Comey he can even fire that person but it's EXTREMELY difficult to tie the intent to obstruction. Trumps lawyer threatened to quit because in the case of Meuller it becomes very difficult for his lawyer to defend him from obstruction. Still, having that conversation and throwing a tantrum doesn't equate to obstruction. The conversation could very well have gone like this: Trump: I want this thing to stop, I want my own person in charge of the investigation. Lawyer: I advise against it. Trump: No, I'm in charge, cry cry cry, etc etc. Lawyer: You're to closely associated with being the subject of this investigation and executing this order may cause you to be indicted for obstruction. Trump: I'm the damn President and you need to make this happen in a way that doesn't put me at risk! Lawyer: That's impossible, I will resign before I do that in your interest and because of my inability to defend you. Trump: Ok. Hey, let's go play golf. And this package thief walked off into instant karma... and still made it off with the packages thanks to her man. http://digg.com/video/ups-delivery-instant-karma Yeah, that's a broken ass leg. Maybe she should've stolen some milk instead. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher -
Regardless of what you think of Trump's intent, and we all know that it was to hamper the investigation, there's nothing to legally hang your hat on. IF during the several investigations against Hillary that were blowing taxpayer money out of the water Obama floated the idea of stepping in his legal advisers would have advised against it. Obama having uttered those words doesn't incriminate him. The difference is that we know Trump is a blowhard and it took his advisers threatening to quit. Edit: the other examples of intent that several people listed are entirely different. Having possession of drugs and having those drugs in specific packaging or having a certain quantity is a well established precedent for intent. The intent to fire is enough for obstruction. Trying and not being succesful can often be a crime. Like trying to kill somebody. Since you said you have many more braincells than I do, I would suggest using a few of them and just do some reading. Wow I have not seen a post that delusional in years Yup, to agree with Rush, part of the deal is the actual action and proof of intent. Someone in office can spitball as much as they want and say they want this person out or say things that would be treasonous if they stood alone but part of the process is weighing options. It would be entirely impossible to prove that Trump's intent on firing Mueller was directly tied to obstruction. We talked about this with Comey. You would have to have a recording of Trump saying, "I want to impede the investigation by firing Mueller." Anything else is useless as proof. It's worked elsewhere. Americans are not so different. Most of the are human. I'm talking about a long term buyback. It would reduce the numbers over a period of many years. Note, I said "reduce" not eliminate. To be fair, it's not going to prompt criminals holding illegal or stolen guns from turning them in. Thus putting upstanding citizens more at risk after they've sold their guns to the govt. They'll have to pry my legal guns from my cold, dead hands. That presumes the biggest hurdle in logic, that a person without a firearm is in danger from a person with one and that having a firearm is the only defense. The next hurdle is the understanding that yes, there will be a period in which firearms are more readily available to criminals. However, they're equally as available to criminals right now AND there's an ever present new supply coming out of the legal firearm sales sector. What most people don't get is that sure, anyone is at risk of being robbed at gunpoint but that's not a realistic scenario. Gun violence is typically happening between individuals who are both involved in criminal activities. So don't get involved in drugs, don't get involved in activities with criminals. Stay out of high crime areas and use common sense. The next advice is very unfortunate, don't be poor because poor urban environments is where the vast majority of gun crimes and homicides occur. The real issue is that gun crime is not as prevalent in areas with less poverty and better educated individuals. That's kind of a no-brainer but it supports the logic that putting money into improving schools has a direct feedback into improving the community. There's a shithole highschool down the street from my office where they barely have a fence around the field and can't have a football team because people keep getting into turf wars at their games and besides there's barely enough money to field a team. This is in Richmond Virginia, goddam USA and it's taken as just a fact of life now as if regular murders on school property is an unsolvable problem. ***One thing that becomes obvious is that a lot of people have no idea how prevalent guns are in the US. The idea that some relative has to give a kid a gun for him to have one doesn't fly. As far as laws go, the FBI puts the number of stolen guns each year at between 300,000 and half a million. If it becomes difficult for a kid to sneak his parent's handgun out of the house he'll just buy an illegal one. How do you regulate who gets one of those?[/quote Stolen guns actually don't make up a large portion of the illegally used sector. Source Most are purchased legally through strawman buyers or shady FFLs. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

And those very same people choose to treat the most ridiculous garbage as "facts." Lenin's "useful idiots". Russia seems to be finding them fairly useful these days. Russia is not as effective of finding useful idiots as is the Democratic party and its mainstream media. Says the guy we've come to refer to as RuskieMC.
