Check out the Steadman Hawkins clinic in Vail, CO. in your research. Sometimes the best isn't in your back yard. Excellent group of docs. I believe Dr. Tom Hacket does knees. ------ Michael

For Those Who Knew Someone In/Around the Twin Towers on 9/11...
gravitational replied to PLFXpert's topic in The Bonfire
The company I used to work for was on floors 34-38 (or 32 to 36) and I was supposed to be there on 9-11. Trip got postponed on 9-10 when the co-worker I was flying out to meet went into pre-mature labor. I was talking on the phone with another co-worker giving a play by play of WT1 when the second plane hit. Didn't lose anyone so we were lucky. ------ Michael -
Using the technology available to us does not put dings in our man card because we're still not stopping and asking for directions. Ahhh ... that whole "it's electronic so it doesn't count" ... Riiiiight ... Use whatever excuse you need to keep your man card. 'Shell In my slight man defense, the places I use it I don't speak the language so I'd be doubly screwed if I stopped and asked for directions anyway ------ Michael

Last time I flew NW (Dec 26th 1999) I was in the plane for approximately 8 hours before they let us off. 2 hours delay at the gate, 4 hours on the ground 'waiting' to get de-iced and another 2 back at the gate while they looked for the flight crew (flight attendants included) all who had gotten off the plane when it pulled back to the gate. Spent the next 3 days in MSP attempting to get out. ------ Michael

Elaborate Skydiving at Calhan is Open!!!

It's been up for a while. Since you're in China it is possible that either 1. the gov't there is filtering your page hits or 2. the ISP doesn't allow traffic from China. I'll be over there in a few months but my experience in another country would not allow me to even check my own email. I had to remote into my system at home and use the webmail portion to get to my email. The hosting provider blocked all traffic from the country I was in at the time. ------ Michael -
Let me know if you're going skiing again this year. I really need an excuse to get on the slopes since they're only 20 minutes away. ------ Michael

You might be able to call the number from your cell (if you have one). I've dialed US 800 numbers from European countries but nothing yet South of the equator. ------ Michael

You have a cheap bastard for a friend. I suppose he kept the one shaped like a rifle for himself? (and no, I'm not kidding...I've seen it) ------ Michael

Just flipped on Animal Planet and they've apparently foregone their normal programming and showing some of the older shows of Steve Irwin. So your trivia answer of the night - Bindi Sue(sp?) Irwin Bindi = Steve's favorite croc Sue = Steve's dog Terri's water broke and in true showman fashion, he brought his film crew to the event. It's good TV. ------ Michael

Mine is cooler (not the ones I make, my personal one) Do a search as there's a thread out there that lists all (most) of the people who make closing pin necklaces. ------ Michael

Ran into a couple porn channels after midnight in Norway - hotel only had 6 channels so assuming this was the normal program. After midnight it was a fight though between reruns of CSI, Law and Order, The Waltons and Magnum PI (all in English) and the poor quality norwegian porn channel. ------ Michael

The last I heard Brush is still closed. I think the one in Canon City is still open. Better call before you drive there though just to see. Maybe somebody who still lives there can give some better up to date info. Brush will probably never have a DZ again unfortunately. ------ Michael

Thats Colorado. Thats one of the downfalls out there. Lots of drama that really isnt there. Created by the few and luckily not fueled by the masses. It just seems that way though. ------ Michael
